Very fun game, I love the style and enjoyed playing it. Once I got into the rhythm of clicking the buttons, it (and the dolls) started coming together.

I really like how it seems the doll stays on the conveyor at the position you pick it, and I agree - it just needs a way to recover from a missed step, maybe a clear button so you can pick up the next doll? Great work!

So after you changed your description and made it more clear what to do: I actually managed to make 14 dolls.

This could be a great little rhythm game, but it would need a bit more polish. I do like the choice of music and the dolls fit well with the recursion theme.

But it would be great if I had a bit more feedback when I pressed the right or wrong button at the right time. For rhythm games it can really help me as a player to understand if my timing was bad, good or perfect so I can improve. It was currently not clear to me if I was doing it right or not, and as a result I would suddenly lose the game.

But still, you managed to submit a game, and you should feel proud for that. It's not easy to work together with a small team in such a short timeframe 😊

Thank you very much!

We had some (probably) good ideas for mechanics like changing the button order to increase difficulty, a stress meter/bar that would have some downsides, and etc. But yeah, we weren’t even able to finish the basics so that didn’t get implemented.

I’ll try to make some changes/adjustments this week (including some feedback on wrong tempos like you suggested (thanks!!!!) and making the game work/continue on when you miss a button tempo) and publish it on another page.

Once again, thank you very much!

I love the music, not really sure what I should be doing though.

After I tried it 3 times it froze when I went to click 'try again'

Hello, thanks for commenting!

You just have to click the four buttons in order (Hold, Open, Pile and then Close) and in rhythm. We know it is a bit confusing when to start and what to do/what you are doing exactly.

This was our first gamejam together and the first ever game the other two members made. We, unfortunately, weren’t able to polish the game and didn’t had time to even finish it satisfactorily. We are proud of what we achieved tho.

I’ll write some more detailed instructions on the game page and we will continue to develop this prototype to a point where it’s more playable and at least a little fun.

(about the music: we got it on one of those DRM-free/public domain free music websites and I still ahve to credit them somewhere (I completely forgot, thanks for remembering me, hehe). This time I wasn’t neither inspired nor prepared enough to tackle music composing.)

We really appreciate the feedback! Thank you very much

Thanks for the response and the updated instructions :) I was able to start making dolls!
