wdym a “little more hype”?
Like having more things poppin’ on the screen? Perhaps some bgm accelerating or some vfx/shaders, idk. I made it kinda too basic and now I don’t know how to increment it, do you have any suggestions?
Very fun to play! The gameplay was smooth, the use of all buttons of the mouse was really good. It is fun to play not only to keep doing recursion but also to try to top your last recursion time (like a time trial!).
I am impressed you made a 3d game alone in such a short time and as well polished as it is!
Very nice!
Thank you very much!
We had some (probably) good ideas for mechanics like changing the button order to increase difficulty, a stress meter/bar that would have some downsides, and etc. But yeah, we weren’t even able to finish the basics so that didn’t get implemented.
I’ll try to make some changes/adjustments this week (including some feedback on wrong tempos like you suggested (thanks!!!!) and making the game work/continue on when you miss a button tempo) and publish it on another page.
Once again, thank you very much!
Hello, thanks for commenting!
You just have to click the four buttons in order (Hold, Open, Pile and then Close) and in rhythm. We know it is a bit confusing when to start and what to do/what you are doing exactly.
This was our first gamejam together and the first ever game the other two members made. We, unfortunately, weren’t able to polish the game and didn’t had time to even finish it satisfactorily. We are proud of what we achieved tho.
I’ll write some more detailed instructions on the game page and we will continue to develop this prototype to a point where it’s more playable and at least a little fun.
(about the music: we got it on one of those DRM-free/public domain free music websites and I still ahve to credit them somewhere (I completely forgot, thanks for remembering me, hehe). This time I wasn’t neither inspired nor prepared enough to tackle music composing.)
We really appreciate the feedback! Thank you very much
Hello! Thanks for trying out the game. You actually just have to press the four buttons in order (hold, open, pile and then close) within the timing. We didn’t have time to polish as much as we want so the game doesn’t work the way it should, whenever you miss a tempo it all kind of comes tumbling down. We, unfortunately, weren’t able to implement some of the planned mechanics.
This was our first game jam together and the first game the other two members ever made so we are still getting a grasp of things.
I’ll leave a more detailed instruction somewhere in the game description.
Thanks for trying and for leaving a feedback!!! We appreciate it very much!
