Simple yet engaging mechanics! It gets really tricky really fast :D

PS: I'm tweeting about the games I play from this jam. Here is yours: https://twitter.com/TheAntonSem/status/1430208634550722561

This is really neat mechanic, I did not expect something like that, but it was nice surprise. Pretty original both in gameplay and how you used assets as I would not even recognize Kenney assets if I would not know they're there. At first I didn't realize I can shoot and I feel it might of even been better as I only focused on the main mechanic of the game. Game juice was great, difficulty challenging, yet not overwhelming. I guess I wish red and green enemies would come sooner, but maybe that would be too challenging.

Cool concept and presentation. Game becomes overwhelming pretty quickly but it was fun. Maybe have the shield rotation controls be keyboard only? Great job.

Very nice game, I made it to 12500. In the begining I was trying to deflect as much as possible and that was too hard, but after I started using the shield as a damage boost and charging at the enemies, everything clicked. I had some really cool moments where I reflected two shots at once, and that felt great. Really cool concept for a game

Love the concept. Took a little while before I got used to it, but once I did, I had a lot of fun. Great choice of colors as well!

Nice colors and cool concept...

Nice looks overall!

Awesome visuals, everything is very beautiful and glowy! I think you had a lot of great ideas, but it became overwhelming. There are so many things to be aware of, like moving, adjusting speed, avoiding hits, rotating shield to match incoming shots, shooting, hitting them with the shield, using the force.  Maybe if the spaceship was fixed in the center, unable to shoot and we only had to rotate the shield to reflect damage it would be a lot more feasible. But props to you for being able to implement all of those things in such a short time!

This is a very fun little game. I think my biggest complaint is the controls; I get that with the spaceship *and* the shield its a lot of actions to cover, but I don't think the mouse-follow style is a good solution. When your ship reaches the mouse pointer it stops, which doesn't feel good and makes dodging hard. Perhaps the shield could rotate auotmatically, freeing up some keys? Maybe it could move rhythmically, or the way it moves could be modified by powerups?

Either way I enjoyed it. I'm also going to go against the grain and say its not chaotic enough, make it harder :P

Neat game you've got here, enjoy playing it! but damn, it gets pretty chaotic when more enemies of different colour starts spawning.  Especially true with all the controls going on, a little bit too much if I must say so. What you could do is to make the ship static and you only control the shield's and the ship's rotation and have the shield's rotation be independent of the ship.

Overall,  I enjoy playing it and the visual feedback is very satisfying too! well done, keep it up!

Argh the chaos! I'd just gotten used to the shield rotation and bouncing shots back when all the different coloured enemies appeared! Fun to play but I think that the difficulty curve needs a bit of work. Also, its not super-obvious which way you are actually facing, especially when you are trying to manage all the other aspects of the game. I enjoyed it though!

Very nice ! Very punchy & original.

The controls are a bit confusing at first but once you get use to it it plays very well.

Great job

Awesome game and really fun to play! I liked the idea of the colored shields reflecting their own color and changing your laser. It's a bit awkward to control but I think I would get used to it with a bit more time. Great job!

great stuff, full blob

Wow that was quite fun, good job. Perhaps a little challenging I only made it to the Reds and was absolutely pulverized. The deflection angle was tricky at times, it made me think of lightsaber deflections in starwars.

I LOVE how this has so many different mechanics acting together. The shield acting as both a reflector and something that changes your shots was really neat. My high score was 12200, which idk if is very good at all, but it was so chaotic at the end lol. I liked all the small visual touches you added too, like the way enemies explode when you kill them. Thanks for sharing!

I like the doubling up of two rotation mechanics (shields and targeting).

Though, as soon as i start moving on top, i loose control, so ill just there shielding and shooting.

Well done.

Oh, I tryed to find something during my brainstorm to play with colors and didn't find anything worth. This game has it tho, simple but effective!

If you're like me and find it really hard, as the comment below suggest, don't play with the mouse, it's way easier/smoother imo.

Cool idea, but controls are a bit hard (w/ mouse)
