Pretty cute! The art is great and I found it challenging but possible to win! Great job!
Really fun game! Loved the style, music and colour palette, nice and subtle but everything reads well. I also like the slide when you throw a wish, it might even be fun to have obstacles that block your throwing range, so you're really zipping around corners like Tom & Jerry. Very impressive!
It's interesting.
Hope you don't mind some suggestions...
The movement is very slide-y, so it'd be nice to have that accounted for in the aesthetic or narrative.. it's a dream-world, I guess so it's ok, but the slippery movement still feels unintentional.
The aesthetic is very whimsical, but then the player gets a pretty quick lose-screen, which feels a bit incongruous. Maybe it should be easier, or maybe the aesthetic needs to sell the impending doom better.
simple and cute game, the mouse control need time to understand but still very fun
I had so much fun with. At first I didn't realize I was clicking and dragging, but once that clicked I played for like 30 minutes. kinda secretly hoping it was getting harder and there was an end. Really addictive game play and super cute art great job!
This game is a race against the clock. Too slow? Too many cloud boys spawn in, and you lose. Fast enough? You make it to the goal line before they do, and you win.
The control scheme is what I really want to focus on. It's an interesting alternative to simple point and click, but achieves something similar to designate a position to send the wish clouds. This indicates to me that the developer is seeking to find a way to create a satisfying movement style, but ended up using a simple designated position. Moving around helps to get close to the wish boys so that the fling style doesn't need to be pulled in an extreme fashion, not to mention getting the wish boys into camera view in the first place.
To solve this issue, I think that I would introduce a slingshot system, and give the wish clouds a gravitational pull when they hit the ground. This way, the throwing positions become a little more forgiving and allow for creative movement by the player.
Overall, this is a well put together game, polished with no bugs in sight. Well done, newcomer, and continue to jam with us so that you may grow your knowledge and skills.
Love the art style. The controls are good but maybe if you could move while aiming it would be more flowing to move around. Would have loved to have some more levels, great work !
This is so cute!! ✨✨ Short but very enjoyable!
I loved the game concept PLEASE release a full game I'll be waiting for it!
did you make it on your own?
Nice and original mechanics. I find controls very hard though
Cute and fun to play!
I would add a fullscreen button, so it would be a little bit easier to aim up and down :D
Thanks for playing! And good suggestion that I can do right away— Added!
Cute game, loved the art and sound! The game was a bit tough for me, and maybe the screen was too small... It was a bit hard to aim and the movement felt too slide-y. Other than that, I think what I'm missing is being able to move while aiming! Good entry though 😀
I just added the fullscreen button from another suggestion, so that might help with the aiming problem. I like your suggestion for being able to move while aiming too. I want to add a bit more to this after the jam is over, so that'll be a priority. Thank you for the feedback!
at first I disliked the inverted axis when you'd throw something, but theres a charm to it and I think its a good quirk you get used to. Only thing input-wise I wouldve loved was to throw the ball only if you release the mouse button, cause that'd make the game feel more responsive. Loved the look of it, its so magical and theres a lot of effort put into it.
I appreciate the feedback! I think you're right — in this context of this game there's not really a reason for the auto-release for the throws. I think it'd feel better to be able to hold and aim longer. I'll definitely tweak this for a future update! Thanks for playing!
Really cute and the throwing mechanic is cool !
thank you for playing! :)
OMG the audio and visuals were very good!
The game is fun and also quite difficult! AT first, the controls were not so intuitive but then I got them.
The gif on the page made me understand the game!
Glad the GIF helped out! I've always been an 'invert-y-axis' player in FPS games, so maybe it feels intuitive to me, but backwards for someone else. I'll plan to add an invert/non-invert toggle option to the starting screen. Thanks for the feedback!
Small but fun and well made game! What game jam games should strive to be :) Well done
Glad you had fun! Thanks for playing :)
A very well polished game! Nice graphics and musics
thank you ! :)
Oh MAN this might be favourite submission so far. The polished-looking art-style combined with the simple, yet enjoyable game loop makes for such a great experience. Not to mention the really impressive sound design. It all feels like it just... fits and came together perfectly. I think this was brilliant. Really really enjoyed it, nicely done.
I think the controls can feel a little unintuitive at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's a breeze. The premise is super simple and has one level. I kind of wish you could roll with the idea and do more stuff like bouncing the "Wish Balls" around corners etc.
Basically I wish there was more, which is never a problem in my books. Superly done!
Thank you for the nice comment :)
Your suggestion definitely sparks some ideas! Maybe I'll have to expand this a bit further and add more twists to the mechanics. Thanks for playing!
Awesome visuals and audio! Super cute)
I'm not sure walking adds to the expirience.
Would've been nicer if player was stationary with more field of view. So more attention can be devoted to aiming.
You're right — for such a small walkable area, movement doesn't serve much of a purpose. I'll have to consider how I can make movement have an actual gameplay impact. Maybe if you were dodging threats at the same time as aiming, then movement would be just as important as aiming.
Thanks for the feedback! :)
gorgeous graphics and music, I love it <3
but I found the game too difficult :(
Thanks for playing! I'll think about how I can add different difficulty levels for an update in the future. Or maybe I can have levels progressing and getting more difficult/faster as you progress.
