cool start! I'm always a fan of a fun platformer! definitely join early next jam :)

I super love the idea of combining colors and discovering the path in the level, I could even see that being really cool for a game with secret paths or hidden rooms. The only thing I'd suggest is some kind of environmental way of showing that. I know in the beginning we get those over icons that tell us what to do, but later having like red flowers or something naturally in the environment that I would feel smart identifying and knowing what color to switch to because as it stands now I was kinda just spamming every color until something showed up. Still very cool idea! I had fun

By far the best power fantasy fulfillment game I've played this game jam. The comments I would have the first 5 minutes of playing vs the last 5 are night and day. I changed my mind on not liking to really liking the button mashy aspect of the level up. I thought maybe the "defend" should push you forward, but as I upgraded it I really enjoyed how it felt!

Shout out to the last upgrade, insanely fun. I had a blast with this, great job!

PLEASE MAKE A HORROR GAME, this was giving me such doki doki literature club vibes, and there were genuinely kinda creepy moments lmao So far this is my vote for most creative game I've played this jam. Games like this inspire me to try something weird and unique because it so memorable when I play something like this. You should feel super proud of this! it was really cool!

I really like the core idea, these fast pace frenetic shooter challenge rooms that quickly stitch together! I had some of the bugs I saw someone else had, where the bullets go in the a strange direction after I fire. but other than that I think it was working well! Definitely would have loved a hold click to shoot instead of clicking, nice job!

Yes yes, I love Elden ring :) unfortunately the music was just a last minute add, I have to add the link, it came up when I searched for epic rpg music lmao but the song is from an old school rpg I believe

thank you so much! Slowly getting better at game jamming .. I think. Love hearing that I inspired someone even slightly in game dev!

I love how wacky the art is, it gives it lots of personality! one small thing that I think would help the gameplay feel much better is a quick select for ingredients. like a right click to instantly pick the plant from the wild. The idea is super cool tho! and the shotgun instantly made me laugh

I saw the hint section, but wasn't entirely understanding like other have said. also I think if you spam space bar and the brush button it.. breaks the game? I'm not sure, it said I won, but I wasn't sure if there was more because the bar was at 20? The animations of the cat spawning was great! love the fluidness of the animations

I believe its just the effects, there's an option to turn off the effects in the game, wondering if that fixes it for you?

thank you!

omg thank you!

thank you so much! yeaaah I always do audio last minute and I guess godot has THREE sections to enable looping -_- I did 2 of those sections but not the right ones ahhhhh

that was kinda the joke, that it looks soo over the top for being...  very dumb :) there's actually an options in the settings to turn the graphics to a very simple version

thank you so much! The "name generator" has an array of all the midwest emo bands I was listening to while making the game, but theres a character limit for names so it just cuts off a lot of names lol

thanks thanks! yeah I agree with that, I should have let you do either way first. Thank you so much for playing it!

Yeah I've seen other people have this bug, I think it has to do with the player selecting a die then a character then before the die finishes its animation clicking on a second die. its easy to avoid, but such a dumb game breaking bug  I missed ooof all that work for that lmao Thank you though, super appreciate it

Incredibly fun, definitely the most fun I've had on a game jam, its  easy to pick up simple to understand . Love the game juice in combat. yeah this is my favorite so far! great job. my only thing to note is that the out of bounds damage happens fast and is brutal, but my ship is slow to revert direction. So what should feel like a "don't break out of the game" warning is more of a "you're gonna die now" message lol Great job though!!

mirroring what a lot of people are saying here  about the look and uniqueness of the game, definitely is tricky to teach the game when its doing something unusual like the controls and concept. but very cool idea still. I think I spent 30 minutes trying to get through this gap in the rocks, but I guess you can't so I'm not sure what to do next.  I think landing soft locks me where i just spin. so I think this is unfortunately as far as I can get. would love to know what I'm missing! cool idea for sure

I love the idea, its super solid, I maybe would have liked to see a guitar hero style arrowing coming down and having that pair with the action instead of pausing it, but still super cool!

weird bug, not sure why that one character was question marked out ahhhh multiple bugs I see near the end dang, I wonder what happened or if I could recreate them. thank you so much for playing it though!!

Threw together a super short trailer. I was having fun with this one

The octopus and ghost ship levels are demonic lmao I swear I felt so relieved after seeing the doc instead of a crazy wave of ghost ships. Loved that mechanic the best too, having to look away to see was very cleaver. Great job!

Thanks! super appreciate it

Very cute and cozy! nice job. I know this is not exactly my type of game, but I can super appreciate all the love that went into it, it was very relaxing to just paint stuff :)

I think you're nailing the finding a fun core mechanic vibes here! I was trying to play some of the game jam submission while double tasking and catching up on shows. TOTALLY MISSED EVERTHING, and just lost myself in this game play lmao, great job. I had a lot of fun with this one!

Definitely on the harder side and I think part of that is the animation delay when you fire, it makes it so you kinda have  to lead the shot in a strange way. but I love the idea and really appreciate the tutorial intro. Nice job!

thank you! also yeah definitely a bug I missed!! I think I bit off waaay more than I could chew with all the dumb ideas lol hopefully it didn't happen to often though!

thank you so much! Super appreciate it

THIS IS SO COOL BUT ALSO BREAKS MY DUMB BRAINNN AHHHH, Great job!!

Love that all the abilities come back for the end, everything is very cute and charming! Although the balloon ability let me speed run though most of that section. You can left and right click at the same time to fly forever, simple fix though, just making it so you can only chew the gum on the ground. Still very cool!

absolutely amazing art! and the whole vibe of the game came together amazingly! I do understand what people are saying about it feeling a little slow, I think some of the smaller things like damage effects and sound would instantly elevate everything! congrats on the level of polish here! Its all super cool :)

like play the game? you click on the first torch with your mouse

really intense game loop! love the next level audio lol super fun

Love this, the game has got so much personality and charm you guys nailed it!!

thanks!

Love a good platformer, I think I've played the different world mechanic before, but its always a fun time! Great job!

pretty cool idea, I always want to make these kind of mechanic based games, but they're so tricky to tweak everything to get working in a game jam. Great job! would love to see this with some cool visual flairs!

I wanna revisit this when I have a friend over, the concept seems super fun! great job!
