Interesting, to be honest I'm not a fan of that kind of esthetics so I won't say any judgement, as this is just personal preferences. The explanations were pretty long and had me concentrated to read and understand everything, they were really complete but a bit intimidating. Otherwise the idea is great and switching views to go in 3d was cool, it was a novel experience among all the jams games. Great job !
Such a cool entry, the assets and general art style are really pretty and immersive I loved it. It takes some time to understand what to do but I'd stay it is still intuitive enough to figure it out quickly so it is still alright. When you get it the game loop is really fun and works well. Great job !
Wow I might just take your explanation to put it in the game ahah, I spent a lot of time developing it that I totally overlooked explaining the part about having 2 hands that can hold only one item each. This is really useful to me to have your explanation as I understand now more what is important to say to a player that discovers the game. Thank you very much for this, and thank you for playing :)
Really cool entry, I liked the idea a lot and taking ingredients from the grounds was cool. As others already said, I know it's styled as an old game but the controls were tedious and made everything feel longer than it should be. Otherwise I would totally be able to see this idea developed into a full game, it would be really cool ! Great job !
I really liked the setup and all the islands I came across, it felt really good going from island to island to recolt/give resources. Rescuing lost people on the sea is also a really great idea ! The overall looks is also good, I love the way you made the clouds and the small villages, and I feel like it would be a really good adventuring game instead of only scoring if you keep on working on it after the jam. Anyway I had great fun, good job !
A really interesting game. I liked understanding what to do by exploring the house and having to find everything, it was pretty clear for everything how to get it without giving it easily. The old style visuals are really good too. My only catch was with the mouse sensitivity, as someone who never plays FPS usually I struggled a lot to move around and catch the objects, it felt like going too fast for me, I think it would be good to have a setting to lower that if you wish. Anyway a great entry I enjoyed a lot, great job !
You really had a great idea, evading attacks from a boss while collecting ingredients to beat him is really fun. I had trouble finishing it but that's on me and my inability to look at the ingredients needed and my character at the same time, I kept stepping on ingredients by accident ahah. Anyway, it was really fun and clever, great job !
A pretty cool entry, I think giving attributes to the ingredients to make them have interactions when you mix them is a good idea and makes a great puzzle game. However I think giving all the rules like that at the start instead of progressively can be really intimidating for a lot of people, I took more than five minutes on the first level only because I tried to read and understand everything. After that the levels are going well, it is fun to think how to do each potions. The ingredients you play with are cool too. Good job !
A really cool entry, I like it ! First the visuals, I find them really cute and I love this duck and his egg, the UI too has a good style. I think however it could have been maybe better if the background wasn't squares, without roof too and so the sun would really be in the sky and the game would feel less "closed", but that may be only my personal preference ahah
As for the gameplay, it is interesting and is a good way to force the player to speedrun part of your levels. You could make longer levels, as most of them can be finished in ~5seconds and this idea would be even better in that ! However, last catch would be the tutorial where you should make the player spawn in shadows and without timer so we could have the time to read, as there is a lot. The platforming works well and I see the potential in a longer game like that, where you have to protect your egg for a long long journey, it could be very fun !
Also the music is good and goes well with the game.
Great job !
