Really nice work with the procedural generation and crumbling location along with the visuals!
This was great fun! Awesome visuals and humour. Performance was a problem though because I played this on my laptop. Gotta try this again on a better computer :-D.
Well there are some post-process shaders in action. Having the ability to turn them off in the settings could be a good idea for future jams!
Oh nevermind! I started the game again and all of a sudden it runs smoothly. NOW it´s fun :-). Love it.
Had a lot of fun playing your game on my stream!
submitted 2 seconds before deadline!!!! That was really close!!!
First off, the game looks awesome! The music is great, the sound effects were very funny.
I would've liked the game to explain what to do and how to do it! it took me a while to figure out I was supposed to throw the villagers to the ships, and it took me way longer to figure out I could control the power of the throw! I figured both things out right before quitting the game each time, before that I thought I was supposed to just prevent as many people from falling as I could for as long as I could.
Once I understood what I had to do, it was pretty fun!!
The game would've benefited a lot from a third person shooter style camera, where the camera follows the mouse and you don't have to click and drag, had several points where I would just move the mouse offscreen and click outside the game.
But all in all it was a fun experience, good job!
Good game, I couldn't save anyone but I relieved some stress by throwing them haha
I began with a score of -400 and ended with 1750 xD
Nice game! Be able to carry more in exchange of move speed was a nice touch. Congrats! :)
I liked the idea of the game , Really cool I love the graphique its really cool , nice game , I like it !!!!
Thanks for your feedback. Glad you loved the graphics! Highly appreciate it!
What a quirky game!
Though you had issues with Discord and your cover image, I personally think it’s awesome. Very eye catching!
It’s not the easiest to aim, so some kind of mild snapping to the boats as the trajectory passed them would have been super appreciated. Unless that is there, and I’m just super, super bad!
Lots of fun, and I love the animations.
Well done!
Thanks for your feedback. Glad you found the Cover Image awesome and glad you liked the animations as well. Highly appreciate it!
Really fun and unique game.
Took me a hot minute to actually remember that I'm meant to throw people onto the boats (not the water lul) and took the boat spawning in the world tiles to notice that I had throwing strength. Neatly animated, nice sounds and fun mechanics!
Thanks for your feedback. Glad you liked the animations. Highly appreciate it!
Such a funny little concept!
I enjoyed throwing people a lot more than I originally thought haha!
I wish there was a way to change the controller scheme, as they were all inverted!
Good and fun entry overall, nice work!
We did not change this during the jam, but you can actually invert the controller cam movement by going to the options and then using a negative value for the controller sensitivity (in the left half of the slider).
Made me laugh.
Probably a good idea to put a ColorRect or Panel behind the UI elements, as it's hard to see the text without that.
Also, maybe slow down the castle disintegration a bit, or have an easy mode that does that, so it's possible to get a bit more practice picking up and throwing the inhabitants before the floor gives way.
Really cool idea for a game - felt like I was playing a fast paced golf game with the way I was launching people across the map. Very satisfying when you managed to land the cross map toss.
Had a slight issue with the font-size being bit small for me (on a 1600x900 monitor) but not too big a deal as I could still read it.
Oops, the Mac export doesn't work! I'll try on my PC later this afternoon.
Oh, this is unfortunate. Hope you had the chance to try the game on a different platform.
We only found out after the submission ended, although it worked for one of our two mac users.
I loved throwing people, I could do that for hour.
I like the simple 3D style and very rich at the same time.
still very hard to me, I only managed to save 1 villager after 4 try
Thanks for your feedback. Glad you liked 3D style. Highly appreciate it!
Nice ambitious 3d game. Great models and animations.
Curious why you chose Q instead of mouse click for throw.
Managing right-mouse, wasd, f, and q was challenging for me on a laptop with a trackpad.
I liked the collapsing castle!
Thank you for the feedback!
Keybinds are often a very subjective matter - but I'll try to explain why I've assigned Q to throwing :)
Q is easily reachable from WASD and some other games use it as well for actions. Especially minecraft also uses it for throwing. We also discussed using LMB for throwing, but this would not have helped any players using a trackpad.
By the way, you can have camera movement without the need to use RMB if you uncheck this in the options.
Thanks for your feedback. Glad you liked the models and animations. Highly appreciate it!
This game is really fun! I never knew how much I would enjoy being a half-naked warrior, piling people up on my shoulders and throwing them away. Music was just the right amount of frantic for the castle falling apart.
I had issues reading the text on the menus, and also the game would open slightly offscreen, but I figured it out eventually. (Probably a windows dpi issue)
Thanks for your feedback! We did not have enough time to get the updated theme in the game, so the text readability issue is on us ;)
Glad you liked the Character Design.
