That was fun. I liked the dialogue. I wonder if the game could give me a hint to the final enemy or "help" the AI to seek me out if it was the last one. Overall the game was cool to see how everything came together.

Cause of Death: Death Haha!
I really enjoyed this game and I like the mechanic of cursing before being able to hurt the enemies. I think there is a lot here that could be expanded upon for some unique gameplay. A couple areas of improvement I noticed: I think the falling-to-my-death hitbox could be a little more forgiving. Sometimes I felt like it took a while for me to find the last enemy. The music was a great selection, I love the track. I had a lot of fun playing!
Neat game! I like the concept of having curses which you can then inflict on enemies, makes it so really nasty curses can be beneficial as well as harmful for an interesting tradeoff. Also great job making a tutorial! Lots of games in the jam would benefit from having those in the game (including mine) haha.
The dialogue in the tutorial was great, having the mechanic of passing the curses to the enemies was a unique idea that I enjoyed and I really liked the music!
Very funny tutorial! The writing in general is really charming!
I liked the mechanic of having the player curse enemies with the curse they have, it made it really interesting. I would've liked a bit more physics involved in the shooting, maybe have attacks have some knockback when they land? Also the melee attack animation sort of glitches in the end and just gets stuck on the last frame. Other than that it was a fun experience!
Congrats!

Definitely needed to read the tutorial to figure out how to play (the curse key is not something I would have realized on my own), but once I did I enjoyed the idea of cursing enemies to destroy them.
I liked the visual differences curses inflicted on enemies, but I didn't really notice any sort of statistical differences, even on things like Haste. Could be I just didn't notice, though.
Would've been nice to see some damage feedback to know when I was hit.
Overall, good game.
Hello there!
Glad to hear that the tutorial did the trick of showing the mechanic, although in hindsight I feel like it would also be nice to show a guide in the main game. Will add to the list of things to review.
And by statistical differences, do you mean the damage and health of enemies? I ran out of time to properly add more curses, but some would have made the gun shoot faster, vitality up... but making the enemies healthy as well would have made them harder to kill... oh well.
Thank you again for playing!
I was very confused at first but then I played the tutorial and I was only slightly less confused haha. Very cool game! The controls are interesting though, maybe having throw curse on the mouse and then throw attack on right click would have been better? I would like to see more curses with greater variety and maybe stacking the curses? I did a gameplay video on my youtube channel if you want to see more feedback/impressions: @Travh98_
Hey there!
Will watch the video when possible, for sure! And rather sad that the tutorial couldn't explain much, any tips on how to improve it?
And controls, yes. I need to rework them. I suffer with the remapping and suffered now by saving configurations. I certainly agree that cursing and using projectiles on the mouse would have worked much better, yet I didn't know how to properly implement the capacity of using both mouse and keyboard for the keymapping. Still don't know much. Will add to the list of things to review.
Thanks again for playing and the feedback
To improve the tutorial I would make it so the player is invincible and maybe show the player the controls again. I liked the story dialog elements, I understand why they were only in the tutorial since going through dialog every play would be too much. Maybe shorter bursts of dialog would be cool mixed in with the main game
Nice touch to pass you curse to the enemies, I almost didn't notice that. Good game, congrats!
Cool game with some fun curses. I especially liked the no friction one.
The assets you've picked out are great too - love the font and the Doom style music in particular. Also impressed to see full key rebinding in a jam game.
Nice graphics, I like the different attacks in melee and range. The background music was funny. Well done!
Cool game! Good background music and the dialogue was very well written!
Some sound effects would be good and I think the spacebar may have been a better choice for the Curse button instead of Q. However, since you have made the game accessible by letting the user remap the keys it’s no big deal! :D
Hey thanks for the feedback!
Glad to hear that the dialogue was well written, I was worried that it could have caused some confusion. And there are sound effects, but uh... i have no idea why they're not playing tbh. Debugging or screaming at the code didn't seem to have fixed it. Still, also glad to hear that remapping the keys did their trick to help!
Thanks again!
Liked it. Good fun. Much easier to destroy enemies at range than using melee attacks.
Consider putting in a minimum distance for the enemies on new levels, so they don't spawn right on top of you.
Interesting concept! I appreciate the ambience and the fact that there's a tutorial as well as some nice options to tinker with! The game is fun but could use better ratio for the sprites, they are very blurry. Good entry overall!
