I have a thing for topdown shooters, so well played! I didn't really got the use of the milkshake, but the battles were nice. Not to mention the good pixel art and ambiance. Congrats!

Developer(+1)

thanks! that is what i was aiming for, the gameplay to be as polish as possible, unfortunately i accidentally ignored the rest lol. oops

Real cute spritework and the topdown shooter mechanics are solid.

I just didn't understand all that well what the milkshake companion did when he follows you around it felt a bit unclear on that regard, and the other issue i had is more a bug i think, after i died when i respawned i could shoot at all even with my gun at 8.

Now with that said i still found it enjoyable, like i said i like the artstyle, the chiptune that plays in the background is also really cool, i like the destroyable crates with hidden coins or strawberries in them, and i like the wacky world with these sentient milkshakes :p

Good job :)

Developer(+1)

thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed my game, despite all the issues and missing mechanics!

No worries, bugs happen sometimes ^^

Great atmosphere, the music is cool!

Although I'm sorry I ran through the corridors without confronting anyone!

Developer

thanks for playing, yeah i forgot to add it to were you had to engage in the enemy, oops.

I have to say, those thuds with the gun are AMAZING!
I obviously like your brick design, they add so much character to the game!
I had to just run around to avoid the enemies as they swamped me quickly.

Great work! Good luck moving forward!

Developer

thanks spoonsweet, that was my main focus of this game, as you can tell, because i ignored almost everything else lol. I am planning on continuing

Really fun, once I got going! I tripped over info dialogs multiple times, and I wished there was a way to disable those. That, and some kind of sound effect or other player feedback when you take damage, are my only suggestions. Nice work!

Developer(+1)

sorry about the dialog issues, i  forgot to delete that once the dialog was done. and that good feedback, thanks I'll add that once this jam is done, i plan on polishing

Great work, the art is really nice, the song is great. I spend so many bullets trying to kill Milkshake before realise he was a friend, he just got me scared.

Developer(+2)

omg lol sorry that made me laugh so hard lol 😆 poor milkshake. Thanks for playing and enjoying the game!

Cute art, and shooting feels surprisingly satisfying. I ran into a couple of glitches while playing, but it’s probably because of the game being embedded into the page.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! I spend most of my time polishing the shooting mechanics yeah bugs will happen in jams

Ghost Bit!! 🤗 Great game, love the art and the premiss! I also very much like that you put story elements in there, most jam games are just game mechanics 😛

I miss some incentive to shoot the aliens though. You can just run to the exit and not really care for the enemies.

Developer(+1)

yeah totally forgot  to make it so that you have to  fight the enemies. Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed

Very lovely game. And a nice tutorial! Most of the games here throw you into the game without any tutorial but this one was great. A tutorial is so important thats why I did one too haha :D

Had a lot of fun with it. Especially because I shoot the whole munition away after the start haha.

One thing you should change: You play this game with left hand on WASD and right hand on the mouse. But the message box confirms with ENTER..You should use a Button where my hands already are :) W Q E or Left/Right click!

Developer(+1)

that's great advice! Thanks I appreciate that. And thanks for playing my game, yeah I was just going to slap the instructions on the description, but I wanted to actually put the Instructions in the game, for a change.

Fun backstory and very cute game! I really appreciated the tutorial! 🥰

Developer(+1)

thanks for playing! I appreciate your review

Even though there are some bugs in this game like you mentioned in the description, the art style and feel of the game are done really well! Cheers :D

Developer

thanks so much! i was focus on the feel of the game the most

Good Game! It needs some quality of life improvements, but the meat is there! for example, the push you get when the enemies attack you feels too much, and you lose more control of your character than it feels right! But again, congratulations on your game! it seemed quite ambitious

Developer(+1)

thank you so much for playing! i really appreciate it, yeah i went overboard on that and forgot to tweak that.

Cool game! It was a bit confusing to play, though. The text boxes felt a bit janky, & the explaining of the controls was kind of annoying to sit through. Also, I felt like I breezed past all the enemies I was supposed to fight. The player is too big & too fast, so I was pretty much able to run past all challenge. This could also be my fault for not undestanding something, but when I ran out of ammo, I couldn't find a way to get it back. Even when I died & it was apparently replenished, I still couldn't shoot.

Past all that, I liked the art & the characters, even if I didn't really understand them because of the slighty annoying textboxes. Hopefully you'll take all this into consideration if you do continue on this project. Cheers!

sad that the textbox didn't work out.  I guess I'll try a different way. This was the first time I ever incorporated tutorial onto the game itself. So I didn't know how it would pay off. Oh well that's why you take risk like these.

And the player being too big is very Interesting seeing is how in size its the smallest of anything in the game?  All assets where 24 pixel size.Do you perhaps mean the camera? I did use a different camera then I normally use.

Thanks for playing. And yes you missed alot of important parts lol well thanks for trying
