This was cool! The challenge of figuring out how to go far enough to unlock sections of the map was done in a fun way and the reroll system helped reduce any frustration. Unfortunately at one point it bugged and I wasn't able to select anyone anymore so I got stuck, that's about the only issue I found though. Nice work!

Really fun game!
I got to day 57 with 4 characters :D
I really loved exploring and finding new cool stuff. Especially the yin-yang thing.
I think a few more special things such as that would add a lot.
The concept is really fun and the presentation is really great. I really love that art style! Just an amazing game, overall!
Very fun! I did find that I spent a lot of my time stuck in a loop of wasting a day and hoping for better rolls as I was soft-locked to one part of the island (trying to free my first friend for example and being forced to wait for a 6 to do so). I'm not sure what the best way to alleviate this would be, the re-roll system helps to some extent but I agree with a previous commenter as well, some sort of temporary camp system might help too. Really well done for 48h!
Interesting game, I enjoyed it !
Bugs/issues I found, some are really details:
-It would be interesting to have a description for the controls, how to play, because it take me a while to understand how I can play, what I can do, etc.
- when there are some movement left for a character, and you choose another one, I was not able to finish the movement of the first one after (and so unable to end the turn, I had to restart the game).
- when I get the first cage, I then forget it was on this path, and I lost several time my turn in this dead-end path. Letting a broken cage could help :-)
Nice points I want to highlight:
- I like the idea of having small movement at the beginning, and having to upgrade the player, the base, etc. to be able to go farther, always with a randomisation
- to have some resources moving (like the meat), and having to end the movement on a specific case without any remaining moving point to get the ressource add some challenge and "planification"
- I like the design, it is a fun and colored world. I see you have done the sound too, but I didn't had any, I don't know why :/
So really a nice game, in only 48h ! Well done and thank you :-)
Interesting game! I love the art so much, and the sense of exploration feels so great. To be honest, it did take a while for me to figure out that you had to click on the right side to actually move the characters, so maybe add some more clarification as to how to play? But yeah, super fun to play. I really enjoyed it. Amazing work!
I adore the look of this game. I wish there was more at stake with each turn than there currently appears to be. I find that I'm just wasting days hoping for better rolls. Maybe the ability to build temporary camps on the board and start from those locations on the next day? Great work. Really enjoy it. Definitely going to try and free all the characters.
Really adorable and fun board-game-meets-rpg type experience. I would absolutely buy a full and polished version of this.
Getting more dice to roll either by rescuing characters or upgrading them felt really, really great and kept motivating me to play.
I encountered some bugs(?), for example my characters would sometimes refuse to move even though they had steps left (once this happened on someone with two sixes :( ) and sometimes event tiles wouldn't trigger? But maybe that was intentional and I'd just exhausted that resource or something.
Overall *really* great work, one of my favourites of the jam so far.
Best game I've seen yet. No doubt I will see it in Mark's video.
My new idol in game making.
Such a cute game! Though it can get a bit tedious if you don't get the rolls you need. If the movement system was tweaked just a bit, I think this game could be expanded a lot!
Really fun game, took 87 days to escape, 96 days to complete all upgrades, and 101 days to explore the whole island. I think a tutorial is definitely needed though the others have already told you that. It also wasn't clear to me at first that the trees with hearts (or whatever you called them) could be defeated to open up a new passageway, and the dead ends could be made a bit clearer, I wasted a lot of moves walking into spots I forgot were dead ends. Overall, fun game.
I had a hell of a time trying to figure out how stuff worked or how to even get a character to move for the first time. Please, write a tutorial, even if just in the description of the game! People may review it negatively since they don't know what to do.
Sadly, I ran into a gamebreaking bug where I had movement left on a character but couldnt move him anymore. So I got stuck without being able to end the turn. Perhaps the chicken tiles are a bit wonky? I didn't get them to work and got stuck on one of those, so perhaps something there.
Also, a funny bug is that you can upgrade in the start menu. Just click on the left side of the screen at the height of a character and you can upgrade before the game even starts (it's a gamble though since it can crash).
Perhaps I've sounded pretty negative here, but please don't misunderstand. I really like this game, if you polish it up a bit and expand on the idea I would definitely buy it.
Thanks for playing and your feedback is super helpful! There's a tutorial up on the game page now, but agreed, it definitely needs an in-game tutorial as well. The chicken tiles are the only tiles that move around so you're probably right and I'll have to look into it. The start menu bug is good to know too and may be the cause of another bug I found, I'll fix it ready for the post jam release! Happy to hear you enjoyed it overall!
I really enjoy the game actually, the upgrade is really fun. I Think it would be nice to add sound effect into the game and maybe music. and maybe make an ending when you finish the game. that all I really love the game.
The game was way cuter than it had any right to be! But it did feel limited, and a bit hard to understand. I hit a wall at a certain point and the ui made it hard to figure things out. I think if you had more time and a tutorial this would have been great!
I had fun with it but it was frustrating how limited my movement was. Maybe putting movement on a D12 instead of a D6 would have been nice? I wish there was some kind of screen explaining how the game worked. I saved the purple character but then I couldn't figure out how to save any others because they were all more than 6 spaces away.
