Interesting take on the theme, I'm not sure I agree with others that this is a tower defense game, I thinks it's closer to an RTS like Clash Royale (just my opinion).
Nevertheless, I really liked how randomness was used in the gameplay, it creates intense moments on where you need a certain unit, but gets another and have to adapt quickly.
I also like how the enemies doesn't just go straight into 1 lane, adds a lot of difficulty that requires prediction from the player.
Congrats on finishing the jam !
Thank you!
I'm not sure what genre it would be, but I think our game is probably most similar to Plants vs Zombies.
When I was setting the difficult I started with the last level and made it insanely hard. It wasn't fun at all... so then I started at the beginning at tried to ease into it. I think there's a lot more we could explore in terms of making the game more fun from that perspective too
Pretty cool tower defense game. Well-polished, the presentation is top-notch. Great job, guys!
Thank you!!!
Neat little tower defense game! I like how what you could put out was randomized to help better match the theme. I think the only thing 'missing' so to speak is a tutorial of the different 'towers'. But doing a tutorial in a 48 hour game jam is rough and your game is pretty easy to learn on the fly.
Overall, nicely done! Would play more than once :)
Thank you!!!
You're right about the tutorial. We had originally planned to give the player a new unit at the start of each stage that they could place and the stage wouldn't start until they had placed their new unit and could see what it does. We just ran out of time. I also had the idea of doing some fly-in tips at the beginning of each round but ran out of time for that too. That's the nature of the beast I guess lol.
Thanks again for playing!
High-quality, polished tower defense game! Well done!
Thanks!
Really cool litte game, with enough polish (what most games don't have cause of the 48h). It's just nice to play!
Thank you!

Really cool! I was a little confused at first what I was supposed to do - a tutorial might have been helpful, explaining what the different pieces do. However, I understand that having only 48 hours to develop the whole game means you probably prioritised adding 7 levels in, as opposed to 7 levels plus a tutorial. (Although, having 5 or 6 core levels instead of 7 may have been a worthwhile trade-off in order to squeeze in a tutorial? Take this with a grain of salt, as I don't know your development process haha. 😆)
The gameplay is really fun! It's challenging without being unfair (even though your pieces are randomly generated, you're able to strategically place them to combat the enemy pieces, so every piece is useful as long as you use it correctly!) It reminds me of chess, but real-time instead of turn-based. The graphics and audio are really nice too, it gives the game a very nice overall aesthetic. Fantastic job! 😄
Thanks for playing!
Very valid feedback :)
Excellent feedback. Thank you so much!
This game has a pretty cool mechanic with really good art and music. It looks and feels very polished
Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to play it and leave feedback!
Thank you!
Awesome tower defence game! I found myself constantly moving the mouse between the die and the board. Is there/could there be a keyboard shortcut to roll?
Yeah, I think that's been the #1 feedback. Great suggestion :)
Lolll yeah like AIA said that's been the biggest thing we've heard so far.
Took a while for me the learn the game, but found it quite fun. I'm impressed you made all the assets yourself, because this game looks and sounds stunning.
Thanks! I think sticking to simple geometry is the only way we were able to do it :)
Thank you! AIA did a great job with the assets haha
Really nice game, I like the wave system and introducing a single mechanic each level so its easy to understand. My one thing is that I wish the dice would roll automatically cause having to click the top left corner every time I wanna place a unit is kinda annoying. But other than that a great game for 48hrs, good job :)
Thank you for your feedback and playing our game :)
Thank you!
I enjoyed playing this game. It started testing my anxiety real soon. Great take on the theme.
Thank you! Sorry about that! lol
Haha thanks for playing
Dice version of the balling level in Plants vs Zombies
Haha fr
Great visuals and music! The idea was super creative and has a lot of potential!
I ended up mostly spamming as many pieces as I could to give myself the best chance of survival. There we many different piece types to remember between the ones I could place and the enemies. It might have been useful to see a preview of the direction enemies/my pieces took. Either that or having similar visuals between like moving pieces so I could better make the right decision with a quick glance.
The rolling mechanic was a bit cumbersome to move my mouse to the top of the screen to try to make sure I click every time, it would have been nice to have that auto roll for me for one less thing to focus on. Then you could show a preview of the piece I have next on the board with its cooldown as well.
The angle of the board itself would mess with my spatial perception and it was sometimes hard to guess where my pieces would go.
Overall incredibly impressive, visually and mechanically. I appreciated the Neuromancer quotes when I lost. Good work!
Thanks for your feedback! That's definitely all valid criticism
WOW this is awesome! I love the way the peices sort of imitate chess peices, and this is so creative. Icoso made some epic music, and everything is so well polished! Great job!
Thank you Bbomb!
wow, really nice concept , love the environment theme , music . one thing was lacking is tutorial, simple text pop up also would have helped to let me know what a certain dice face does but anyway I had fun .
That definitely would've been beneficial. Thanks for playing!
Loved the simple idea! The polish was exceptional, too! I do wish there was an easier way to roll the die instead of clicking it every time! Still, amazing entry!
PS: I'm your 100th rater!
Yay! Thank you
The legend of MrChickenBoy will live on forever in my heart
Super loved this game! I loved the idea of using the rolling mechanic to make those defence guys :D
Thank you :D
Thanks!
Really enjoyed this game. Art style was lovely with that tron-like lighting and outlining. Game was simple to pickup and scaled in difficulty correctly. Really made the best use of you time by rendering the shapes the way you did. I think yeah, overall a great arcade experience worth playing again. (👍 ◉ ᴗ ◉ )👍
Thanks Elska!
Really appreciate the feedback.
Thanks for your kind words!
Nice Game!
