Awesome game! It could use some polish but still really cool!

I actually love the presentation! Just needed some clarity and some more emphasis on the gameplay as it gets very boring very fast.

Quite cool although there doesnt seem to be a lot of things the player can controll.

Also red thing next to player is S U S

I was close to not needing to read the instructions which is nice. If it wasn't so busy I might have succeeded, but I missed collecting die faces the first playthrough anyway. I like the idea, and the background is cleverly modeled. I like how many little details you were able to add even in the time constraint. I do wish it was more clear how damage was calculated, if the number is the more important of the two dice I would have put that on top of the other when calculating. That part was unclear, though it didn't really matter as the strategy was mostly in die building. That mechanic was well done which is impressive given the amount of time. Overall, well done!

Amazing work!

First off, the visuals are really cool (though struggled to figure out what a "Mogus" was for a while).
I like the idea of customizing the dice according to the situation too.

If you are planning on updating the game going forward, I would suggest focusing on adding juice to the calculation phase since it can be slow and a bit uneventful.

In any case, congratulations on finishing the jam!

One of my more favorite auto-clickers, but I just don't understand how to beat the boss. Good luck on your game.

Loved the presentation of everything! Wish there were more animations during the auto-roll phase

Interesting idea!  I haven't played anything else like this for the jam where you have two dice and you need to customize both of them.

If you were to continue working on the game where's what I might suggest...

-I didn't really realize the impact of customizing the dice until I started playing and could see how it worked.  It might make sense to throw the player right in and defeat a simple enemy to learn what's going on and then be able to customize their dice.

-I think my character was the card and the enemies changed?  It wasn't really clear, I think some depth of field on the camera to blur out the background a bit may have helped.  Some really simple attack or damaged animations would help too.

-On the main screen I'm not sure what's a button and what's UI, everything has a really similar boarder.  The color schemes as to what's a button, and what's UI don't seem to have any correlation

thank you so much for your feedback. I'm sure that it's going to come in handy either in this project or the next.

Definitely some great feedback here! I agree with all of that, if I could restart the project I'd try to:

  • Integrate dice customization directly into the game loop instead of making it optional. Ideally with a game this short you'd want to update your dice after every battle anyway. And specifically adding a tutorial enemy that teaches the player customizing to fight a specific enemy
  • Add more polish and conveyance on the player character and attacks so you can tell who you are and who is winning the fight
  • Get someone more specialized in UI art to do that work! lol
  • We wanted an ability card system where you'd be able to choose a modifier before each battle but we didn't have time

Thank you for playing the game and providing feedback!

The game itself is fairly simple, but you NAILED the presentation, its beautiful, the camera movement between menus, the way you interact with dices, the way you can alter the dice, I loved it. Congrats for the submission!!

I liked the game! The music and art were great! However, I think the gameplay could be made better and make the player involve more into the game!

BEST OF LUCK:)

P.S. Check out our game too.

Well done and keep it up. As a player, i like more involvement in the gameplay events and i think this part needs some more work. congrats on this beautiful game.

This idea is super creative! Other comments are right it does feel like the game plays itself sometimes but, wow you've really got something here.

I did like the music and environment, they were good. But I didn't like the underlying gameplay because it felt like the game played itself and I just watched. I kinda was just winning without engaging with any other mechanics than pressing the battle button. But that was my only issue with it, the environment and music still makes it a good submission.

Self Promotion: I'd be very grateful if you'd play and leave your honest feedback on my game too.

Interesting concept where you stack the die to counter your next opponent. It would've been nice to know exactly how battle damages are calculated (I think its 2x if you win the RPS), and I think it could've been cool to have some kind of enemy or result on the die in which it was better to get a low number, because I just ended up stacking my die with as many sixes as I could find. Overall, solid game, great work!

I am impressed by the art style:)
