Lol I was not expecting a russian-roullette game out of this theme but you did a good job incorporating it! The SFX are quite funny despite the morbid subject lol.

I love the idea! Nice work!

Jam development is always stressful, especially in the last couple hours when unknown null references start popping up, and yes I will check out your game Thanks ^^

Nice idea. There are many games in this jam using very same ideas etc but this one is very different. I like that. Very simple but fun. Nice job ^^

Developer

Thank you so much , Most of my time went into coming up with an idea 😅

Funny! I wanted to see what would happen when I die but it took forever for the enemy to actually chamber a bullet, lol

I don't think the Roblox Oof is royalty free. Nobody will care for a 3 minute jam game, but just as a heads up.

Developer(+1)

nice you must be very lucky .

ohhh , I thought many people use that oof so its royalty free and I searched for player die sound effect and that came up on first search.

There's a recurrent situation with Unity devs which they dont seem to care for smaller resolutions... anyways, after zooming out a lot, I managed to play, pretty fun and clever way to implement the theme in the game! Very creative, congrats!!

Developer(+1)

It's not like I don't care , I usually upload the web version in 720p only, but this time I was in hurry and didn't change the setting, so it was build in 1080p. I know 1080p sucks on browser.

Hey, Good Game!
I enjoyed the shooting part.

Some tips:
1. You can improve the UI.
2. The current music does not suit the game's setting.
3. You can Improve the environment by making a few simple changes - adding wall materials, reworking the lighting settings - eg. you can set it up as an indoor scene like a spotlight at the top of the table like in Poker games etc.
4. Currently, there's no way of knowing which dice were mine (I understood it in a few turns, the right one is ours, I guess I am just confused because I am a lefty XD). This can be done by changing the colour - say blue is my dice and red is my enemy.

I hope this helps improve your game :). Good Luck.

Developer(+1)

hey , thanks for your feedback but I already know all these 😅, fact is I didn't get time to work on any of these heck I didn't even get time to add post processing, and about the environment, I am too bad at environment designing and lighting so I just slapped the first material I found online😂.

Shoot I was going to add a text above those dice views but it completely slipped my mind and I am realising that now.

no problem.
You can practice building environments and release this as a casual game  :)

Tip for env: look for photos in similar settings - pub/casino, you'll get a general idea of what/how the colours are set up. Use default unity materials (wishing that u made this with unity) - just adjust the reflections well.
Will share a few links on discord that'll help you.

The idea is very cool but low graphics and resolution problem spoiling fun. Also can add something player can control like where to shoot the enemy and then multiple ammo need to kill enemy.

Developer

yes, these ideas were in scope but didn't get time to implement them.

- "Hey, Ennemy 1, I have an idea, let's make Russian Roulette a lot more dangerous"

- "OMG, let'z goooooo"

Developer

😂 Yes something like that, thanks for playing

best game

I tried so many times but i couldnt kill him without him killing me  :(

I like the idea but the fact that you don’t have control over anything makes it a little bit too luck-driven.

Developer

yup, it's completely luck driven that was intentional

Nice Game!

Thank you so much!

A nicely done game! I keep getting ded, maybe my luck has flew somewhere else lol

Developer

luck do be like that sometimes XD,  even when testing, I wanted to test a scenario where both of them didn't hit but I had to keep restarting because either he was ded or I was ded lol

Submitted(+1)

Nice! The RNG is unreal on this game though lol. I had to play 20 rounds before getting a victory. Perhaps in a future version you can have a bunch of enemies, and the first enemy has only one bullet in the magazine to make your odds of winning a bit higher, and then progressively add more bullets to make it harder as your score increases?

Developer (1 edit)

so my initial scope was keeping up to 5 enemies and health bars and power ups and stuff but time didn't allow me, powerups were like super luck - you pull 6 on your next throw, magic bullet - enemy dies in one shot.

the fact that you played 20 time makes my heart melt🧡🧡

Submitted(+1)

I got the both ded ending! A bit stressful, nicely done!

Developer

ahh you can try again and again till you win :P

Submitted(+1)

When he dies he just falls of the chair, but when I die everyone LOSES their minds (the screenbreak effect and stuff) Also I can kinda see if the guy has the bullet in his gun or not, was that intentional? anyway cool game and nice that you completed it (even tho you started making it kinda late ;D)

Developer(+1)

Yes, that was intentional, the fact that you see your death but still you have to pull the trigger 🤪🤪

Submitted

Ah yes sudoku my favourite sport

Submitted(+1)

Good game! a bit laggy for me, but was able to get the "Both Ded!" screen

Developer

Hmm WebGL issues 🤷🏻‍♂️

Submitted(+1)

I understand the concept but it's a bit of a downer that we have no control at all on the game, it's 100% luck

Developer

Thats how roulette works😛, anyway I had scope for adding health so instead of dying in one bullet you get 3 chances and some powerups like magic bullet which kills enemy in an instant and magic dice which rolls 6 but I didn't get the time to implement so
