Very original, and looks beautiful. I didn't find a lot of strategy to choosing bait though. So for me it mostly became a bit of a clicker game.

Really fun use of theme. I love how you have the dice bouncing around the screen. Small bug/oversight: You can just spam putting fish on the line and if you go fast enough you can put fish on the line while the line is still in the water. The camera shake becomes a lot if you go fast enough too. You can also click and drag the fish in the hall of fishes. The shop keepers dialog is great. I adore the painted style you went for with the art. The music matches really well too.  Great job.

Nice game!

I really liked the idea of more open to the player fishing mechanics.

I remember with horror the hours of fishing in Terraria, although it was fun.

Your game isn't particularly big for multiple scenes. Changing the fishing scene to and from the store was a bit laggy in terms of background music. You could have had a short animation and sound stop when you pressed the button, and then do the scene transitions already.

Or you could have everything in one scene, just off screen. Especially the player can quite often move between scenes. These are just my suggestions.

It would also be cool to see, instead of drag'n'drop cards with fish, how fish flounder, hanging on my cursor :D

Yes, changing scenes is a bit laggy, I think it's due to the fact that I didn't properly compressed background images. It didn't show while running locally, but obviously it shows on the browser.

Thank you for the feedbacks!

Nice mechanic really made the charming presentation and juice :)

I didn’t really feel like I was influencing much; beside drag-dropping, but it did become kinda hypnotic :)

Thank you!

Very neat idea. Also charming visuals.
I wish the progression was a bit faster as there is a lot of grind required right now.

Great job!

Developer

Yes the rhythm and balancing of the game is a bit rough eh

Thank you for the feedback!

Very creative concept and pretty addicting! I found myself excited whenever I got huge rolls and epic fish! I was a bit unsure what the numbers next to the dice symbols meant, and an option to sell all your fish at once would've been nice. But overall really solid game, I enjoyed it a lot!

Developer

Yes the different numbers are confusing and the "tutorial" doesn't help.

Thank you for the feedback!

Pretty art and satisfying gameplay. It does start off a bit slow but eventually gets more engaging.

Really nice fishing game, the art looks great and the background music is nice, the fishing mechanic works well and I could probably play this for hours!

Developer

Thank you! Happy you liked it!

Yessss, so pleased to see someone made a fishing game. I had pondered the idea but couldn't quickly figure out a way to mash dice and fishing together- but I like how you've gone about it, its pretty fun! Also the audio that plays when you roll well during fishing- love that, that's really good.

Developer

Thanks!

I played this game for a while! Hooked a ray. One of my favorite games so far.

Developer

Happy to hear that, thank you!

This game is pretty cool! Good job with it! I actually got a little too fishing crazy and crashed the game from catching so many fish lol.

Developer

Yes I completely forgot to put a limit to the inventory, sorry! Thank you for playing!

Great concept!

The art and audio are great and I love the little fish facts that you added.

With the gameplay it started off slow but as soon as I got a screen shaking combo it felt amazing!

The only thing I'd say is that having to click the fish button every time is a bit tedious, apart from that The game is great :)

(Also I now have the combo theme stuck in my head)

Developer(+1)

Thank you! In fact you can just drag the fish anywhere on the screen and the rod will autofish if it's full.

ah, thanks for saying :D

Was an addicting game to play, waiting for that juicy critical.

It was also fun seeing the count of the fishes and dices increase on your screen.

Congrats on completing the jam !
