Loved the voice acting and the dice throw/hit mechanics were solid! Good job!
Funny game, impressive that it is voiced (I haven't gotten that far in my games). It is nice to see that the game is finished (has an ending). I would work on the presentation, fight mechanics and look&feel.
Absolutely hilarious game, voice acting is the cherry on top. Cool and creative mechanic with hitting the dice mid-air to send it farther, and even hitting a button with that technique.
hey! I found it very creative and fun! the only problem was that there was a bug that I was only with the stick, the dice disappeared and I couldn't get to the end. But still, I really liked it, good job!
If you can, check out my game.
pretty neat idea and game, the voice acting gave it a lot of charm. i think the game could be improved by adding a variety of weapons and adding more feedback on things, like making it clear when you hit an enemy with some hitflash. not sure if i'm missing something, but at the end i got stuck in the dungeon trying to hit the button with the dice but the dice couldn't reach far enough or the button didn't fully work properly or something. pretty good!
A pretty funny game. The voice acting was surprisingly well done for a Jam game and the model and voice of the old guy works super well too. I liked the way you attack and the mechanic where you can hit the dice in mid air, but the timing is unclear, perhaps an indicator of when you can do it would help.
As for the things I didn't like, I'll list them now: The dice currently follows you at roughly the same speed you can move, it would be nice if it sped up as it went so you could keep walking without waiting for it to reach you.
I didn't like that the random generation was *fully* random, I spent like 3 minutes on the last enemies just because of that. I would suggest you do like modern Tetris, which guarantees you got 1 of every piece if you used 7 pieces. So you could do the same, you must get every possible roll after 6 rolls. (also, the sound of when you hit enemies is pretty loud.)
Despite those complaints I really did enjoy the game! Good job.
That's such a funny game! Great idea for the core mechanic! And it's even has depth to it with with ability to send the die further by slapping it mid-air, very cool. Sound effects are top-notch and voice over is just great. Visuals also work quite well with the ridiculous story. It highlight of day for sure!
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it
I liked the voice acting a lot! Other than the rather inconsistency of hitting the dice in mid air, the game is pretty cool! Idk why but I got spooked quite a few times by some dumb things.... but uh very solid entry to the jam!
Loved the audio as well!
An FPS approach is a pretty unique take on the theme, well done! The facts that you can hit the die in the air really elevated the game for me, it helps to flesh out the otherwise basic combat. I did not expect voice acting, nor to enjoy the NPCs so much! The presentation could obviously use some work, but for a 3D game made in 48 hours it's definitely acceptable. Good work!
Finally an FPS, don't know why I couldn't encounter one earlier. It was really clever allowing the player to hit the die back as it's flying and it feels very satisfying when you manage to do so, I just wish the window to hit it back was more generous closer to the player. The art is rough around the edge, but I understand it's hard to create everything from scratch especially in 48 hours, so good effort trying to go that route. The story is kind of nonsensical for no apparent reason, but voice acting made up for it, made me chuckle a couple of times. All and all, it was an interesting and definitely a unique entry, good job.
the voice over was funny haha. adding a crosshair would make aiming easier. unfortunately i wasn't able to finish cause i lost my dice after spamming it on the flying enemy. anyway, good job!
surprisingly fun and addicting! I liked the NPCS (the delivery of their voicelines was really funny) and the dice throwing mechanic. I think having crosshairs on the screen might help with aiming (especially with the button in the cave), but otherwise it feels really fun to play just as is (controls feel great). With a bit more polish and variety in mechanics, I could easily see it expanding!
To be honest at first I did not think much of this game by just looking at the screenshots, but I was wrong. The game IS fun and it IS beatifull. I judged a book by its cover here. The game makes me feel like I am playing a game that can evolve into a longer more content-packed game
Goodjob and I would love a sequel or continuation of this project!
Nice game, maybe there could be a bit more variety in the enemies and the way you attack them. The movement could be improved a bit. Hitting the dice back was a nice mechanic, but a bit inconsistent. I like that you implemented characters with dialogue and walls that open up. I somehow lost my dice at some point so i couldn't attack anymore.
Short but fun bit of adventure, the betrayal at the end was really heart breaking.
Never expected that I would get hooked into the game, but before I knew it, I finished it :D
Congrats on finishing the jam !
I feel like some work to the controls must be done, to make it more responsive and pleasant to the player. But what already done is already something. Keep it up!
