I really like single screen games that manage to keep the player engaged, and yours did that!

I'd suggest to make platforms one-way platforms so that you can jump through them through the bottom. I think that would make gameplay faster and lead to more interesting scenarios.

Nice game!

Developer

Definitely will make one way platforms! I was not able to do it due to using a custom character controller, however I'll swap it out in an update soon!

Submitted

I don't know how it is in unity, but in Godot you set one-way platforms via the platform not the character.

Developer

Unity does have one way platform available quite readily. The problem is I didn't use Unity's physics system. Instead I used a custom one, which is difficult to integrate with Unity's colliders and such

We also had bugs that only appeared in our builds, in our case they started appearing in the editor as well once we defined our Script Execution Order!

Neat little game, great job on the combat feel! I liked the slow time and sound effects.

Simple and fun. Good job.

Despite the standing opponents game is FUN, I had a great time trying to beat my record.

The animation of the attack and the subsequent slow motion is very strange, it feels off for some reason.

It's quite simple, but quite enjoyable game. The slow motion is nice touch to the game.

the slow-motion effect was so cool and the sound effects and music fits the game. the bugs were a bit annoying but that was ok. good game anyway.

Great arcade game! I like how rolling for an event is tied to the button to attack enemies, and how satisfying it is hitting bullets and enemies. Good job, hope you work on it more post-jam :)

Nice job. The time slowdown mechanics feel amazing, and really add to the simple concept. I appreciate the old-school distortion in animation frames. They make the dice feel both alive and powerful.

The game is really fun. I really like the slow mo effect when we kill an enemy.

It took me a second but getting the roll attack move down felt amazing. The brief few seconds of slow-mo after killing an enemy and the fact that you can kill multiple enemies in a row is so very satisfying. I managed to rolling my guy through 3 enemies only to watch it fall off the ledge in slow motion colliding perfectly into a 4th enemy below showering the whole area with particles. Great job!

The game is pretty unique and quite polished. I definitely enjoy my time playing this. The sound of breaking glass is really satisfying. I just wonder if the game would be better if the pace is faster or slower. Overall, the game is quá đã và quá tốt xD.

it's an idea with a lot of potential, it would be really cool if it was a level that you had to pass by defeating the enemies at the right time and that the number of the dice when you fall would affect how you defeat the enemies. i really liked the idea that the time stops when you defeat an enemy. Very cool!

Nice little plattformy rolly shootery thingy. Maybe a bit barebones in terms of visuals, but it was nice to play. Could maybe use some more content. Other than that, you should be proud of putting it out there. Good Job.

I like how the action is so quick in your game :D

A clever game with a clever take on the theme! I like the gameplay and art of this game, good job <3

I loved gameplay. It was very fun. Good job!

by the way could you play and rate my game?

Let's get rolling! Clever theme implementation. Well presented, from music, art, animations, and effects aka the slow mo :D, I had so much fun playing it. Great job Yuuni

Very fast pacing action platformer game. Controls and animations very fluid and smooth. I wish there will be some heal event maybe :D  Because sometimes it can be very hard and challenging. But overall thats a good game for making high score and relax. Nice work ^^

Developer (1 edit)

There is an event that heals you, however I didn't have enough time to make it pop up more when needed. All events are randomly chosen with no bias. I'll try to implement it post-jam! Thanks for playing!

Very fun and well-made game! Since I am a master of bullet hell platforming (lol) I thoroughly enjoyed it! It would be more interesting if you spawn less enemies but make the enemies' bullets bounce off walls and platforms :) Also, add some screen shakes, it definitely helps! One detail I noticed is that the music only starts when you start the roll, which is amazing! Keep up the good work!

Developer

Initially I wanted to implement bouncy bullets as well! However it took too long so sadly I had to leave it out. Definitely will put it in the game during post Jam, however!

Thanks for playing!

Fun! I feel like you undersold yourself a bit in your description by not mentioning that you can achieve combo kills of off just one roll, which is kinda the coolest aspect of the game play. Good stuff. Feels great to play. Gets too hard too fast, but so does my team's game, just kinda happens on a Jam timeline. Nice work! Love the music you selected!
