Wow! This is by FAR the best game I have played so far! The idea is creative, graphics are awesome, sound design is fitting... what more can I say! Nothing to critique here, game is designed super well. Good job :D (highscore 192 lol)
This is extremely high quality! I love how the gambling phase gives you a moment to breathe and makes you assess the risk/reward of your outcome. Great job!
very fun and unique game! im a big fan of yahtzee personally and twin stick shooters so this was good. could easily see this being a purchasable game with just some more polish and controller support. great job
Great game. The music is really cool. Good fusion of yatzy and shooter. Great difficulty ramp up.
Fun game! love the art and music
got a score of 88! This game is super addicting. the graphics and animations are super bouncy, the music is incredibly badass (who knew old western dubstep could slap so hard??), and the use of dice in the gambling phase is a really cool interpretation of the theme! It felt like there was a little too much screenshake at times, but i'm just nitpicking there.
Great job!
great work, the game looks fantastic.
Excellent work! It's one of the best games I've played in this game jam. Congrats for the submission!
This was great! A cool take on the theme and incorporates randomness without removing too much from the strategy.
A generally good submission. I was experiencing a lot of lag, though, and I feel like a lot of the gambling phase wasn't fully telegraphed properly.
Do you have hardware acceleration disabled in your browser perchance? That utterly destroys most Unity WebGL games performance for me at least.
Thank you for the feedback on the gambling phase! If you don't mind, can you explain in more detail what you felt wasn't very well telegraphed?
I could not figure out how many die rolls I had left and figuring out what upgrade to go for (what to roll the dice in an attempt to get) was hard because the die combos you didn't have didn't show you what they did.
High Score (without exploit): 108!
It was really hard to get to the tommy gun! I found an exploit, where you hide on the bottom left table, where no one can reach you. Also, one time, the dice did not roll on a face and kept teetering on a corner.
That's literally everything I can critique about this. The gameplay is polished and fun, the concept is intriguing, evoking interesting player choices, such as when I had to choose between a high scoring upgrade or an upgrade that might help me survive til the next round. The gameplay is the perfect balance between randomness and strategy, quicktime skill and careful thinking. I loved it!
Super fun game, I love the aesthetics, the music, and the concept. Some minor troubles with shooting phase when enemies are too close or with some obstacles, but other than that I really enjoyed it. I lost at 3rd phase with 276 I think. Nice done in two days !
Wonderful job for the time, but a few niggles damaged my experience of the game. Things like overlapping dice that are hard to select, unresponsive UI buttons etc. Didn't really figure out why the restart button took a while to respond, and I almost gave up after the first gambling phase as I couldn't see how to continue.
After saying that, I still had a bit of fun playing the game. I like two-phase games like this, especially when each phase affects the other (this game doesn't quite do that - the shooting doesn't really affect the gambling as far as I could see). I love the core concept and the presentation is superb, but the shooting phase is a little hard. If the enemies got more powerful over time, as you leveled up playing the gambling game perhaps that would address the issues?
Still, a fantastic achievement in the two days!
Thanks for playing and thank you for the in-depth feedback!
The enemies do actually scale for each gambling phase you entered, but I think it is a little unforgiving in early stages right now if you don't get the best weapon upgrades. The bugs you have mentioned are things we have been struggling with but sadly didn't get time to get just right before the deadline, which of course is a shame.
Again thanks for the feedback. It is very valuable in case we decide to make a post-jam version some time in the future :).
Amazing work! Love the art and presented. Feels amazing and it is very fun!
Thank you so much, drreww! :D
Haha- wonderfly frenetic and awesome presentation (something about the run/walk animation made me chuckle!)!
haha Thank you, tomputer! I love later in the game when the animation speeds up and they're all bouncing around super fast! xD
The people in this bar take their Yahtzee very serious... :-D
Yes iffalsepanic, Yahtzee is a very serious game, and playing it at a bar is no laughing matter! hehe
Really fantastic use of the theme. The gambling phase is super interesting to unlock new abilities and it was fun becoming incredibly overpowered with the revolver. I also like how you use cards to represent health. Plus the art is very charming. Really nice work team :)
Thank you so much, Schu! (*^▽^*)
Ohhh its like dice poker very good idea! The combat is pretty fun and the story has the right amount of ridiculousness for me, nice entry =)
Haha thank you!! \(^o^)/
What is yahtzee??
Five of the same dice-face!
