The backstory is nice, but the dice could've just as easily been a square, a player, or anything. I think perhaps adding some significance to the face of the dice might make it interesting!
Cool game! Love the idea, simple yet very fun.
Love what you did with the dice, a very smart idea. Avoiding having to program rng is genius. Altogether, good story, good tutorial, nice artwork, and relatively satisfying gameplay. Keep up the good work.
Call this a hot take but it's like angry birds if angry birds was actually fun.
Doesn't really have anything creative using the dice, but really fun !
Nice work, like the idea of the angry birds gameplay. I just think, that you should have make another dice mechanic and add music. But besides of this, you have make cool game with enjoyable levels (,which have multiple ways to solve them for more stars, great!)!
Great puzzle game, this would make an awesome mobile game, the art style is great
This is a nice little game with a lot of fun levels. Good job!
Angry Birds)
Sled, Thanks for letting me play your game! The level design was really nicely done I enjoyed each level and felt really rewarded every time I figured out the puzzle of the level. The art was a bit inconsistent/ all over the place theme wise but its still understandable/doesn't make it hard for me to play the game. Overall nice work and the sound design was also great. Good job jammin!
I think the art would've looked so much better with a constant pixel size. This is not really pleasant on the eyes.
That said, I LOVE the humor in this game! The text pulled me in and the gameplay somehow kept me playing until the end. It's mainly the additional stars you can collect that achieved this, I think.
Good game.
Yeah I know the art could be done better but I had to chose where to cut the corners and it landed on it, if I managed my time better I would make sure to make it constant pixel size at least
Already the intro :D I loved it! I hated the game from the intro because it is just random and this game is like the opposite of that!!! This is amazing! :D
Thanks for playing!
Really fun ruining the game ! I was pleasantly surprised with this short game, before I know it, I finished all levels. Also liked the sound design a lot, it really sells the board game feel.
Angry Bird but better, congrats on finishing the game !
I loved Visuals! Good job!
by the way could you play and rate my game?
I called my brother a cheater while playing Heroscape once, so he punched me in the head. So then I flipped the board, and he proceeded to punch me many more times. That being said, I really enjoyed the intro/outro of the game and the humor it brought to this game!
Some minor improvements: Although i think what you did you did nearly perfectly, it was a bit two dimensional in its gameplay. Adding a new factor to the levels (besides new obstacles) would have kept me more drawn into the game. Something like dice faces having different abilities (maybe it would split a number of dice equivalent to the number on the face?) would have just brought a whole new aspect to the game. It would have also incorporated the theme a bit more as well, rather than the tie-in to the theme just being the fact that you're throwing a dice.
Overall though, this is a super well made and clean game. I love the sfx and graphics. Also your physics were perfect. I played through all the way to the end and didn't regret it! Great game!
Thanks for the feedback! Adding some abilities is a great idea, but I don't realy want them to be luck/rng dependent. Premiss of my idea is that the "protagonist" of this game is done with randomness (like many of us playing games from this jam xd) and want to fight against it. So you don't have to agree but i think it's actualy better for the theme if this game is not RNG dependent
Ahhh, I totally see what you're saying now. I like it, for sure. And I super agree with it not being luck/rng dependent as well, I've played some games like that on here and it just makes for poor gameplay. I think I was more just saying it'd be like angry birds how you can see your lineup of what bird comes next (predetermined before each level), and perhaps you would be able to plan ahead seeing each dice face that is upcoming and knowing their coming abilities.
Adding new dice with diffrent abilities should be fun, like D20 can destroy harder materials and pointy D4 can pop baloons or something like that (I was planing to add baloons but the time did not let me)
Oh snap, yeah that's a great idea!
Love your take on the theme! Take a board game and break it, haha
The gameplay is quite satisfying with nice visuals and sounds. Good job!
Thanks for coming to my stream! Here's a recording in case you'd like to refer to it
Top notch subversion of the theme with plenty polish to back it up.
I literally am Polish xd so I tried my best to make my game polished
Definitely one of my favorite games I have played this jam! It obviously a lot like angry birds, but I really had a lot more fun with this than I ever have had with angry birds. It was fun to have the little comments of the players, a nice touch!
The only criticism I have is that it took me some tries to understand which objects I could affect with my dice and which were static. But once I knew it was all good!
Thanks for the feedback! The level design could been done better, in a way to idicate properties of objects, sadly I did not have enough feedback when I was developing to see it then
I like the art style and the humor of this game. Good job!
