Simple but very effective gameplay, the visual & mood really enhance the experience. What's missing for me is the player feedback when you lose/win in certain scenario, a bit of VFX/UI or audio maybe enough. Other than that I can really see the potential in this, neat concept, nice job!

I didn't really enjoy this.

Mostly because there's no real explanation. Sure, it's a fairly simple game, but as little information as how much stamina might be gained or lost on a successful roll would help a lot. Or who would gain or lose it. Or if there is a cost to passing. Or if there is a goal or you're just playing to see how far you get. And, for someone whose first difficulty was is a 12, how many dice you're rolling would have also been great to know.

It needs a bit more content, but I like the idea behind

It would be an interesting risk-reward game: would you risk one of your family member's sanity for a chance of a good outcome/the story to progress?
It works even better in the context of a horror/thriller game, since a bad roll would mean really, really bad outcomes.

Not too bad, good work =)

I died and everything was in vain. Hell yeah

Simple to play and easy to understand. The game is quite scary and challenging in it's own way. Trying to survive choosing between rolling and not rolling! Like it. Great job!

Loved the mood, the photos remind me a bit of La Jetée as a game.

I really like the mood of the game, and the concept is awesome too. I just find the story lacking.

Simple but effective, this was a great entry. I would love to see this developed with some flavour text to the locations, and results.

The concept is great. I like the different effects for wins and losses. The atmosphere is also cool.

Wow, that kinda caught me off guard.

The game really creates a scary and dystopian atmosphere without any sound effects (except the dice rolling)

The gameplay is very minimal, but the game combines everything so good that it just works.

Great job! :D (I lost the 2 dice roll btw :/)

Definitely have a unique concept, invoking a sense of dread with just pictures is no small feat. This game feels like a monster survival game, everything is bleak and hopeless, almost like silent hill.

Congrats on finishing the jam !
(The eyeless monster always watches you)

I love the creepy aesthetics of the game. I hope those people in the game are AI generated *gulp* ..... Anyways, nice take on the theme. Good job!

I actually love the concept of making decisions for your party based on visible odds. I would 100% play a full version of this where there is a larger variety of choices.

I'm so glad you liked the idea! I'll publish a more complete version, when I do I'll let you know! Thank you very much for the feedback. I really appreciate it.

Sounds good, and No problem!

An interesting concept, though I struggled to make good decisions in the game. I think the balance is a bit off, especially considering that a "5" is considered trivial but the average roll for two d6s is "7".  I.e. if all the success chances were dropped by about 4, the game might play a bit better.

I'd also have liked to see some more mechanics around adjusting dice rolls, or at least improved effects if you get numbers far above the target. Maybe dice as a resource, so you need to weigh up rolling more dice for a better chance or fewer dice to conserve resources (which would fit nicely with the narrative of the game).

The game was supposed to have an extra mechanic where you get more points to add to the dices, but I didn't have time to implement it and I forgot to adjust the difficulties. With the end of the game jam I will publish a new version fixing this.
Dice as a resource is really a good idea, I'll think about it but future versions. Thank you very much for the feedback. I really appreciate it.

Very cool idea! I like the idea of a simple rpg where you have to manage your family, but there's a risk with every action you take and it make come out advantageous or it may not.

This one was pretty tricky though. It looked like we only ever have two dice? And some of the amounts to be were successful like 15 or 16?? Isn't that literally impossible (I suppose the game did mention that at one part)? But even the mediums of like 9 are still disadvantageous since you have less that 50% succeeding. Almost seems like you'd never want to roll your dice! But then you die...

Nice concept though! Good work on this!

Interesting concept. A "quick and dirty" RPG done in 48 hours. Hard to find games like this in a Game Jam. Good job.

Developer

I really like to play tabletop rpg. I tried to make a simpler version possible with the time I had! Thank you very much for the feedback. I really appreciate it

Very awesome game, I loved the concept. I can't manage to finish it, but I love playing it. I can imagine a version with more events and difficulty balance, it would be amazing. It also fits the theme very well. Congrats for the submission!!

Thanks a lot for the feedback! After the gamejam I will publish a version with the adjusted difficulty and more events!
