Got some nice Plague Inc. vibes here, I like it a lot! It's a pretty fun game, I really like the mutation tree.

I think some mechanics could use a bit more explanation, it took a bit of trial and error for me to figure out what absorption rate and pressure burden mean. Also I feel like some paths are a bit unbalanced, it's very easy to just get infinite DNA points and buy everything. Or I've just gotten lucky with my mutation order.

Overall it's a really solid entry with good all-round polish.

Super fun game with impressive amount of content packed into it! It's very well polished with great art and some fitting background music. The core gameplay loop is well executed. I really like the great enemy variety and especially how well developed the skill tree is. Awesome submission, congrats and thanks for hosting!

Man, I just love this one so much. It has a very silly vibe to it which I just adore. The sound effects are really charming, very fitting with the arstyle. The tutorials are simple but very effective, they get their job done perfectly. The gameplay is nothing much, but it introduces new stuff frequently enough that you don't really get bored until the end of the game.

Overall it's a very well made game. It doesn't aim for much, but what it has is almost flawless. Amazing submission, congrats!

It's a good start for a TD game, it's sad you couldn't finish it. The gameplay is nice, had fun figuring out the best combination of tree for each spot. It's not very well balanced though, some trees are a lot more cost effective than others. Also the presentation leaves to be desired. The art that's in is pretty nice but it's missing some background art, and some audio would also be nice as well.

I used to love flash games like this, this brings back good memories. The game's a bit buggy though. The shovel tool doesn't seem to work, neither does the fertilizer, I tested it with  planting two plants at the same time, one with fertilizer, one without, and I didn't really notice any difference. The art is pretty lovely though and the music is nice too.

Good foundation for a platformer. The gameplay currently is not too exciting, it's basic platforming stuff, though enough to entertain for a few minutes. I like the idea of the token system, though I'm not sure if it's working properly as every level looks the same to me. Also some audio would be nice.

Cute little game, I like the unique concept. The gameplay loop is simple but effective, though I wish there were more bird types, it feels like there's a bit too little content at the moment. The art is very charming, if animated with some visual effects and some audio to back it up, it could be absolutely fantastic.

I rarely see these kinds of games in these jams, I really appreciate the unique game design. The gameplay loop is very well designed, it kept me playing, wanting to get all the ascended bugs. The bug variety is also really nice, gives the game good strategic depth.

Some parts of the game would probably need a little more explanation, I didn't immediately know if recruiting bugs costed me anything or was I just getting them for free. Also the recruiting menu was a bit confusing at first, after the first fight I didn't know why I had suddenly five slots instead of just three, but I quickly realized it, when I sent an empty party into battle because I put all my bugs to the reserve slots.

The art is very cute, love the aesthetic of the bugs and their many different evolutions. The interface could use a bit more polish though in mi opinion, a different font for example would help a lot. The sound effects are nice and I appreciate that there's music, though the tracks very short which makes it quite repetitive over time. Breaking it up with another short track for fights or the recruitment stage would help I think.

Overall I think it's a well designed game with an engaging gameplay loop and pretty good presentation, if with some imperfections. Congrats!

A short and simple game with not that much to offer in it's current form, but it's a good start. Gameplay wise it's nothing crazy, but at least everything works well and the game is finishable. I could see this being expanded giving the different forms different ablilities and such.

Nice little game, I like the concept a lot! The art is nice and the music's fitting, though I feel like it lacks sound effects at places. The breeding system is nice but it's a bit unbalanced, I ended up just ranching a lot of slimes with disregard to their stats, selling them all, and buying new ones until I got one with very good intelligence and one with good speed. Also some end goal would be nice, it feels a bit aimless to collect money just for the sake of it. It's a well functioning and fun game though overall.

Very fun game.

The art is amazing though the inconsistent pixel sizes bother me a bit. The audio is very good, I like the sound effects and the music with its evolving nature is awesome.

The gameplay simple but very fun, I like how frantic it is. It gets a bit too difficult at the end for me, I can't quite figure out in exactly what ratio am I supposed to plant the seeds in order to get enough feeding plants to the eye when both enemies are out.

It's a well crafted game overall, well done!

Cool little game. You'd see games like this in the spooky jam rather than this one but I don't mind it one bit, it's refreshing after all the green.

The art and music are nice if a little unpolished at places. They give the game a mysterious and uncanny vibe, which is nice.

The gameplay's not much and a little confusing at places, like I'm not sure what the monsters were supposed to do as they didn't seem to hurt the character. I liked the ending part though, it's pretty cool to see voice acting in a jam game.

Very unique concept, I like it a lot!

Art and audio are top notch, they create a very chill atmosphere for the game.

The gameplay is smooth and very engaging. In my opinion it lacks a couple quality of life features though, like it would be very nice if I could view the stats of each flower when I hover over them, and it would help a lot, if the right click would mark the flowers to be killed only after their lifecycle is over. Also I think it would make the game more fun if there were some sort of defeat condition like a pollen quota that you have to reach by a certain time or something like that, currently the game feels aimless to me. These are just my nitpicks though.

Overall it's a very solid submission, with good polish. Congrats!

Very cool game, the gameplay is simple but effective and there's a lot of variety of levels with good pacing. The upgrades are very nice, make each attempt feel a a bit different from the last. The art is not amazing but it serves it's purpose pretty well. The lack of any sounds is kinda sad, I think they would make the game a whole lot better. Overall it's pretty well made and designed game with alright presentation. Nicely done!

Super well polished little experience, short and very effective. The art is minimalistic but very polished and with fitting sound effects. The absence of a background music is a bit of a downer though, I think a short 8 bit track would improve the game a lot.

The gameplay is what you'd expect from any other game like this, though the seed part is a great spin on things. I just love how well designed that part is, it managed to catch me offguard at certain sections, very clever stuff.

Overall it's nice and polished with clever level design. Congrats!

Nice little game. The mechanic of reveals are very interesting, it has a lot of potential and I like how there's a meta progression aspect to it.

I feel like the upgrades are a little pointless sometimes. I'm not sure what +damage does for example as zombies already die in one hit. Also even meaningful upgrades like hit protection feel underpowered, +3% protection doesn't feel like it's making any difference.

The art is alright if a little unpolished at places like the UI and the music's pretty good though I feel the game's lacking some sound effects.

Cool little game, I like the evolution system. It's  a bit lacking in content, I feel like with only three parts there isn't that much strategic depth.  It's understandable though for a jam game.

Interesting concept, I really like how deep the simulation goes with all the weather patterns and stuff. Some mechanics could use a bit more explanation like I don't really understand what the purpose of steering the stem is or what absorbing does.

It's a functional little top down shooter. It's a little hard to tell what is happening because the game is too zoomed in, I'd definitely give the player more space to see.

Really solid and complete experience. Short yet effective with very nice progression. The art is amazing, and the audio is nice. The biggest flaw of the game is the lack of tutorial. Even after reading the jam page I struggled to find how I craft (for some reason E to open inventory is not mentioned on the page). Once I understood how the game works it became a very good experience.

Cool little game, I like the art a lot, the game over screen especially, it looks like there was a lot of effort put into it. The gameplay loop is nice, although some explanation on what each plant does would've been nice. Also it's a bit unbalanced, the plants all feel underpowered, the most success I had was just putting all my money into new slimes instead of evolving my existing ones. Other than that, nice and charming little game.

Amazing little game, I love the writing, very funny and clever. Art is nice and polished, everything works well. Nicely done!

Super fun game, very clever idea for a roguelike. It looks and sounds very nice. I especially like the effects. The only things I could criticize would be the balancing (I feel it's a bit too easy to  get overpowered) and the performance, maybe at later stages damage numbers and other effects should be taken back a bit. Otherwise it's pretty well made, congrats!

Super charming game, I love the concept and the art and audio are super nice and polished. The gameplay is nice and well paced and it's quite engaging, but man there are some cruel segments (though it doesn't help that I suck at platformers). Overall it's a nice and polished experience. Well done!

Cool game concept, I liked the various forms and their abilities. The controls weren't explained very well, I only noticed there's a wall jump when I read the comments below. Something simple like some text in the background explaining the controls and what to do would help a ton.

Very well made game, got a little too invested in it for my own sake.

The gameplay is very engaging, the plant unlocks got me hooked pretty fast, it has a very impressive amount of content for a jam game. My main criticism would be the pacing, because this game is reeealy slow, especially at the beginning. It takes a lot of time to complete a run and to unlock everything it takes literal hours. I only got to unlocking the money generating plant and the eye plant thingy even after more than an hour playing. Also speedup wave button would be a godsend.

The art is very pretty, though the inconsistent pixel sizes can look a bit jarring at times. The music's nice and fitting, though can get repetitive (or I just played for too long lol).

Overall very solid entry, I like it a lot. Congrats!

Neat little game, I love the concept, Spore immediately jumped into mind and I just adore Spore.

The gameplay loop is solid, I love the progression, though it lacks a little more content, like a couple more parts and enemies, understandable though for the timeframe and the fact that you worked alone. The dash feels a little clunky to use and it's a little weird it doesn't have a cooldown, but you can get used to it.

The art is nothing to write home about (again very understandable for a solo work), but it serves it's purpose and I actually found it quite charming, reminds me again of Spore. Sound effects are good, but the game's a little silent, some music or background ambiance could go a long way.

Overall a charming little experience, nicely done!

On a serious note:

The art and sound are amazing, the bunnies are super cute, I genuinely felt bad for having to put them in the grinder. Music is catchy and very fitting.

My main criticism with the game is that it feels a bit too random, mutations appear too frequently. My strategy was to have 4-5 rabbits I thought could produce the required traits and when a bunny with one of the desired traits appeared I switched out one of it's parents to that. It didn't work very well, the results seemed a bit too random. It might just be that I didn't properly understand what the game wanted me to do. I had quite a lot of fun despite that, mix and matching rabbits and experimenting with the genetics system. Great submission, congrats!

GOTY 2026

Spoliers ahead for those who didn't play it!

Very unique game, it was super immersive.

The minigames were fun, but I kinda wish that they would somehow help influence the ending (correct me if they do). Also, bit of a nitpick, but to be honest the ending felt like a bit of a letdown, I was expecting some kind of twist or reveal at the end. This is probably just because the game built tension and intrigue soo well, and it had such a cool and mysterious vibe to it.

Immaculate polish, masterclass atmosphere building, simple and fun gameplay. Amazing game, congrats!

Quite a fun submission I like these kinds of deduction games. The art is super unique, I like this aesthetic a lot, great job with the art Chloe!

Gameplay's simple but effective. If I had to criticize something about it, it would be that the time limit feels a lot more limiting than the strikes so I kind of felt incentivized to make rushed decisions instead of carefully considering each piece of information. This is just a small nitpick though.

Good audio, great art and great all-round polish. Well done!

The poor character truly stumbled across the scariest things of all: real life.

Super unique idea. Never thought I'd ever play a halloween-treat-stealing-cat-impersonation-memory-roguelike. Yet here we are!

The art is very very good, though the different art styles (like the dithered backgound art with non dithered cat art) do make it just a little inconsistent. It's not that big of a deal though, still looks amazing.

The gameplay loop would be fun even without the roguelike element, and with it it becomes even better as it adds a layer of strategy to it.  It has a good all-round polish as well. Nicely done!

Perfect music choice. I kinda wish there was something at the top.

I've been waiting to see a game like this in this jam. Wasn't disappointed.

The puzzles are very clever. Doable but not too easy. The art is simple but well polished with nice music to accompany it, though I feel it could use some sound effects as well. Other than that its a well made game!

It's very well done especially for a first solo jam game. The move set is rich and surprisingly deep. It's well polished, I encountered zero issues. The gamepad controls work very well too! It's a bit silent but for a solo it's completely understandable.

For a first, it's very well made! My first jam game didn't even have fullscreen mode. This has full fledged gamepad support! Congrats!

Such a unique game I like it a lot! The puzzles are well designed and have good variety. They aren't too hard but are challenging enough to be engaging. The character art is unusual but in a good way. Music is also really nice, complements the aesthetic well. The boss was really cool too and I really liked the end screen with all the achievements and the cat. The cat is cute.

If I had to criticize something it would be that it's often hard to tell where the players and everything else's colliders are. Many times I was just hoping that the ghost wouldn't hit me or that I fit into a gap.

(1 edit)

Very cool idea, I like how I have to carefully plan my moves to not make the enemies vulnerable to attack while keeping myself safe. I found the AI's movement a little bit too inconsistent though, and there were times when I wasn't sure why I died as I wasn't in the range of the enemy yet. It's overall nicely done though and I like the music.

This game gives me so much salvo shuffle vibes! It kinda feels like salvo shuffle story mode lol. It has the same fast paced gameplay and the fantastic music (most probably winning the audio category, as usual). The nicely done transitions and the synced projectiles make it very satisfying. The voice acting adds a lot to it too.

It kinda felt a bit short, a few more levels would've been nice, but what you have here is already quite an achievement for the 48 hours so I'm not complaining.

Impeccable overall polish, banger music, fun gameplay. Congrats!
