how to start? i pressed the climb button but the game is not starting
You should click on the space, i have a known bug that removes focus from the button when the mouse is used :x
really love the atmosphere and visuals, chefs kiss
platforming was quite challenging and tense actually, enjoyed it, really nice little game
This was brilliant! It looks beautiful and the placement of everything was really well designed.
Its soooooooooooooo cute, i really like it, specially the art itΒ΄s remember me games like Ori and i love it!
Thank youuu
Pretty cool idea, would,ve been cool to have a scoring system but pretty fun overall
I've given it some thought; perhaps in a future update.
I really loved Kataka's little footsteps, they are so cute !!
Thank you adrygag !!
Nice game. Has great atmosphere and challenging gameplay!
Thank you pff !
What a beautiful game!! Feels good to hop around and I kept wanting to try again! Well done :D
Thank you sophie !
I like it! Well atmosphere and gameplay. Great job!
I got an error (javascript alert) when I got to the tree house.
Thank you chon ! i'll be checking that error. If you have a screenshot it would help a lot :)
Yes, here is it:
Really love the atmosphere and the gameplay is very challenging. The level is very well designed, it rewards the player for remembering the map and strategising where to move with the amount of light they have left.
Thank you AAA ^^
Probably the purest sense of pure dread I've seen instilled in a game here... I mean this in the best way possible, of course! Phenomenal work!
The visuals are beautiful (especially for a solo dev?! wow!) and perfectly build the haunting atmosphere around the tree. Sound effects are also great and help the whole thing come alive. The gameplay is simple, but extremely well implemented, and I love how easy it is to get cocky when things are going well (psh, I have so much light, I can make this jump...) only to have it all fall apart and have you scrambling for a re-up. Just... amazing job. Excited to see more of your work going forward, and it's a shame about the bug with the title screen :(
I'm happy you enjoyed the experience. I'll definitely be working on fixing that bug
There seems to be a bug getting it started (I only managed once), but it feels really nice! I really like the way it looks and it feels smoother than expected. The audio is really cool and atmospheric, I enjoyed it a lot. I think the most outstanding aspect is of course the nice, consistent stylized art though :) Great job!
Thanks you !
Really would like to play your game, but can't get it to start. After hitting "Run Game" I can see a start screen and music plays, but that's it. I hit every key (of cause the ones in your description as well) and clicked on most elements - HOW does your game start? (tried in Firefox and Chrome)
HiHumane Tiger,
I've encountered a bug that I'm still working on resolving. However, I've found a temporary workaround. Simply refresh the page, and when the game starts and you see the 'climb' highlighted click the space bar. You won't need to use the mouse for this, it's the mouse click that remove the focus from my UI button.
Thanky you! Trick is working :-) I knew it is worth asking - after playing it (and after trying really hard to get all the way to the tippity top) I can say: What a nice game this is! Your description is summarizing everything perfectly well. On the base, our games both have a similar idea. The two of us executed it just in very different ways.
Your art style is beautiful! And the sound landscape is contemplating everything perfectly well.
Great entry!
Movement feels kinda sluggish, but I like the colors and effects.
thank you
This is on-theme and beautiful! Great job with the art. The level design is interesting and the difficulty balance is really good. It felt forgiving but kept me searching for the next source of light.
Got to the end--I like the treehouse at the top! Nice worldbuilding, too :)
Thank you
