I started godot this january and the transition wasn't very difficult from unity as it's similar in some ways and also its inherently friendlier

i wanted to try something like papers please, and at the time i was desperate to renew my egy ID, so the idea just randomly hit me and sounded perfect for the game jam 😂

The puzzles are clever, and I loved the visual style. It reminds me of the PSX-style games :)

Super duper awesome idea! very clever and fits the theme extremely well, also satisfying *Boings* and sfx 😄.
was a bit difficult at the last part, but amazing work overall!

I love the art style, the perfect relevancy to the theme, and the mechanics introduced each day.
This is definitely my favourite game in the jam, awesome work!

Amazing visuals! and very clever puzzles.
Was very scared at the end to fail and restart but thankfully i finished it :D

Wow, it's awesome you could make a complete world building game with a save system in 48 hours!
I enjoyed building small different biomes next to each other :D. Great work!!

It gets a bit challenging on level 3, would love to have a clearer description for the cogs, it would be very helpful.
But hey, the idea is really good and unique, and the puzzle mechanic and theme integration are really well done!

The graphics are a combination of a pixelation shader, post processing, general camera shaking and a lot of hit feedback including particle systems and scale/color lerping. And i think sounds also might've contributed to the retro vibe.

Well, in a tight game jam like this one, I gotta make do of what I have by focusing on solid gameplay, then juice, otherwise, the game becomes more difficult to sustain, especially without a dedicated artist.
