The player's two states body and soul change in different levels .. each with its distinct abilities (Dash and Jump respectively) ..the states can split and join as the level dictates

This game is a good game in the perspective in level design, but could really use some polish in the programming and movement design.
When moving around I would expect that the game would use more of the same keys for input. You have left and right for directional movement, but why have spy for jumping? when using the up arrow would work just as well?
The overal movement is a bit too fast for my liking. Especially the dash. The game would be more precision based and more skillful if the player has time to do his inputs. Personally I would love to see the float speed halved/two thirds of what currently is so that I can better see what is happening. Another example is the falling speed, which is also way too fast for me.
When dashing it will always default of dashing to the left. Even after having moved to the right. I would have expected that the dash direction would move with the latest movement direction input.
The overal hitbox detection and switching between states is rather unresponsive and needs a lot of polish to work well. Using the diamonds is very finicky and switching states becomes frustrating to do well.
The game is not necessarily hard to navigate, but it is fun play through. It has some pretty great level designs and would love to see these expanded and polished further.
Overall I really do enjoy the concept of switching between states and getting different abilities between the different states. For concept this has some great game design I would love to see explored further.
There is a bug when jumping into a tree makes you stuck and disables gravity. Aka you can freely float around without falling down. This persist after resetting the level forcing a soft lock. Forcing me to reboot the game.

The mechanic of having each character have different abilities and switching on-the-fly works really well! The dash is fun to use but smartly limited by not being able to jump.
I did have a lot of trouble with the final level, as the platforming required some fast inputs, but I did beat it in the end. I'd love to see more done with these mechanics!
Specifically some more puzzle-oriented levels (how do I get from X to Y with the moves I have?) rather than precision, as that was the part I had most trouble with.
Sorry for not getting a chance to play your game during a stream but I am running out of time and had a hefty amount of games to get through so I am just playing and rating at this point! Thank you for your understanding :D
Really tight platformer. I found the mechanics of switching a little hard to follow, and the levels a bit tough as such.
The Dash in this game is especially fun! I'm not a big fan of platformers, but this one did some interesting things such as that dash and state swapping. It was a little hard to tell what you could and couldn't stand on, such as the cloud and trees which to me look like they are part of the foreground so I would expect to be able to touch them. Otherwise, well done!
Great job on your first finished game!
I wonder if you even need to have levels with them individually, and with the diamonds? I feel like all of that was just building up to having red gates in the level and using q to switch, but I think you could've had those systems from the start and just built them up by level design.
I really liked having platforming challenges where I had to switch mid-air. It was fun and forced me to think about my jump before I committed. Would like to see further expansion on this by having some challenges where you have to pass through a red gate mid-jump and take advantage of that transformation.
But yeah, good job! I had fun with this.
The puzzle design and concept of mechanics between the ghost and the zombie were interesting, but I wasn't able to complete the later levels with the diamonds, the difficulty got a bit too steep. I also had some issues getting used to the control mapping. It was an interesting use of the concept, being able to swap between two different mechanics in specific locations. Good job!
Nice art. I was not able to play all of it because I got stuck, but what I played was still enjoyable.
An interesting platforming concept, but the learning curve is a bit too steep in the beginning. By the second level, you're still figuring out that you can't use clouds and mushrooms as platforms, and by the fourth you're expected to fluidly switch between modes midjump to avoid spikes and progress. If the levels were a bit more forgiving in the beginning, it would be easier for the player to get into the game.
A challenging and interesting platformer, the choice of visuals was a good call, and overall it feels pretty cohesive. The lag on switching is what really gets me, I think if you can figure that out and work on the level design a bit more you could have a pretty fun platformer on your hands. All in all nice work!
This is a fun concept and I enjoyed my time with it. It's a bit hard for me though. I think there is a minor bug that makes the character switching not immediate which would make it feel a little nicer. Overall nice platforming and well done!
Cool and challenging platformer! I like the idea of switching characters to change between abilities, also the art style of the used assets is really nice. Good job!
Nice! The art was pretty. The switching felt a bit laggy to me, which made it hard to get past the first few levels, and I had some issues with clipping into environments (although I'm not innocent of that in my game either). All in all a fantastic effort for your first ever game / game jam. Keep it up and you'll only keep improving.
nice idea, though the controls are a little finicky. if no direction is being held, you always dash left which killed me quite a few times. the sprite takes a minute to switch in the level with the diamonds. its a really nice concept though and the levels were definitely interesting, if a little difficult. with more polish, this could be really fun! Good Job!
that was challenging, the clouds and mushrooms not being actually platforms really caught me off. but the main mechanic is cool none the less, even with the gems being a bit slow to change you
That was a challenging and fun game :O The only thing that bugs me is when touching a diamond our character do not swap instantly and you have to move to get it working :/
Other than that maybe tweaking some levels and adding diffrent hazards can make the game more interesting to play.
Overall it was fun nice job :D
Nice mechanic, that you change body and abilities. However, I had some trouble when switching, since it was not instant. I got stuck on the level where you have to ghost jump to become a soulless body and need to dash.
It was pretty hard to understand what you could walk on, and I often tried to jump on trees and clouds.
I believe with some tweaking this could be a pretty enjoyable game. Nice work.
A bit clunky but overall a unique idea. could use some more polish though
