Definitely a unique and interesting concept! The artstyle is also great! But I think the game is missing some music.
I would suggest to make it so the player dashes towards the mouse cursor as it has been already mentioned before. Also I noticed that sometimes the dash distance was sometimes short and at other times it was longer (I am thinking it gets longer when dashing diagonally). I would suggest making the dash distance consistent.
Overall an awesome game! Great job!
Thanks for playing looks like i forgot to normalizze the dash force thanks for the feedback :]
I really like the idea here! I would like a rework of the dash controls though - the mechanic itself is fun but it was tricky to line up a dash properly with just WASD. Maybe it would be nicer if you dashed into the mouse direction, or if the collision box for taking over an enemy was larger so even if you technically missed you would still get them?
Great job :)
Thanks for playing when dashing your collision box becoms 2 times larger so dont worry about that :d I will definetly rework the controls :D
Must have just been my own timing and aim them
Really good concept, I wish I could control my enemies for longer - really nice job on the presentation and the game!
Thanks for playing :D
This is really fun and addicting! Really polished gameplay and mechanic, and one of my favorite games so far. You did a really good job in 48 hours!
At first, I don't know how to make an enemy marked and it took me a while to find out that I just need to shoot an enemy to make its health relatively low so that it will be marked. The ideas of the game are brilliant. Taking control of the enemy, draining their energy, and even making them a suicidal bomb is so much fun. The artwork of this game is quite good and the SFX is also pretty good. Overall, this is really a fantastic work for 48 hours!
Thanks for playing :D
It took me some time to get the mechanic of the game, it may need some tutorial to get used to them, i see this well suited for a mobile game with some tune on the controls, overall a fun game!
well done!
Thanks for playing will definetly work on a mobile port :D
Fun game! I will say it's possible to exit the game zone if you dash out of a host near the border. It felt smooth to play and it was satisfying to dash in and out of hosts, but the initial amount of enemies could feel a bit much. Also at a point it felt like I stopped getting energy from things? I love the aesthetic though and with a bit of polish this could definitely be great! Good job.
Thanks for the feedback i will balance the game after the jam :]
Will definetly fix the wall problem
Thanks for playing :D
Very fun game! pretty challenging. I think my only critique would be to maybe make dash/connect move towards the mouse instead of the direction your moving so its easier to jump to the ships you're currently shooting at. Great work!
Great idea .. could be made an android game post-jam
A lot of fun to play! The idea of possessing the enemy ships just before they explode is amazing and allows you to fling the ship into others and do loads of damage! The mechanics hold together well and there's a wide range of enemies. Great submission!
Thanks for playing :]
My brilliant high score of 8! :D I did finally get a non-zero score. I think I wasn't clear on when the space dash was actually doing something to the enemy and when it wasn't, and that got compounded by only being able to use the arrow keys to move. Tbh it seemed as though it'd've worked better for me if mouse were move and arrows were shoot XD
But, definitely a fun concept with frenzied gameplay ^_^ Thanks for the experience ^_^
Thanks for playing i will make the inputs changeable after the jam :]
Pretty fun game, I loved the aesthetics and the idea. Congrats!
Thanks for playing :]
Hey this was fun! Yeah more juice can be added (check the video attached, you must have run out of time like me too tho, just 48h to dev a entire game :D) -> would be a quick 1 hour fix and would improve the experience by 10X. Controls and movement super smooth nicely done! The effects are pretty good too! I like the light edge outer rectangles, maybe add this to all the enemies so they light up (would look even more cool). Followed you, looking forward for an update :)
Yep i run out of time like everyone else :d
The game has screen shake but its just not enough i think. Will definetly update the game after the jam.
Thanks for playing :]
The idea is one of the best I've seen in this jam! It took me way too long to figure it out, but I did eventually, and it was fun. Deeperbeige said exactly what I think: "it just wasn't satisfying enough. With lots more juice, faster fire rate etc maybe I'd have liked it more." It was pretty solid though, I'd love to play a post-jam improved version of it! 8.5/10
Thanks for playing i will work on it after the jam :D
Took me far to long to understand the mechanic. When I finally did, I wasn't really motivated to play for too long as it just wasn't satisfying enough. With lots more juice, faster fire rate etc maybe I'd have liked it more. In my fourth or fifth go, I finally scored 1 point. How disappointing! I eventually managed 20, but didn't feel the need to continue.
Good effort anyway, you can feel satisfied that you've built a working game in 48 hours, which is an achievement in itself!
I know its hard to understand the game at the start :/ i will implement a better tutorial.
Thanks for playing :]
A smart idea! It takes me a while and watched the video to understand how to play, thanks for providing them! I think the dash/explode using the same key is very smart. It might just be me but I feel it might be easier to control if you can use the right mouse to do the dash and explode so the arrow key can keep the focus on moving. I didn't get a high score sadly but I do love it!
Thanks for playing :] I will implement a changeable input system after the jam :d
Could use some music, but overall a well made game with a fun twist! Would've loved to have seen some more enemy variety to really mix it up, but of course there's only so much you can do in 48 hours. Nicely done.
Thanks for playing :]
Wow, such a solid game, didn't get a super high score like some of the rest of the folks, but I was really into it for the time that I did.
I thought the entirety of the game design and visuals was communicated well, and the gameplay loop was really addicting. You have a really solid base for something here, even as a game jam game, it is wonderful and deserves more love.
Great job!
Would appreciate you checking mine out as well if/when you have a moment :)
Thanks for playing :D I will definetly check out your game as well :]
Great fun little game! I got around 400 score before getting mauled by the horde
The music would be great addition and also it's not really a reason to shoot if you can just enter the enemy horde and spam space to expode everything. But I really liked it
Thanks for the feedback :D I will balance the game after the jam :]
Really good game, I'd love to have some music but it's okay.
I really liked the way you take control of low life ennemies, it reminds me of the DOOM 2016 "execution" when an ennemy is low life and you can kill it with a cool animation.
UI and vfx are also rly cool !
Thanks for playing i will add some epic music after the jam :]
