So, this game probably the best I’ve played this jam so far. It’s executed a neat concept really well.

The only thing I wish is that the music wasn’t so lo-fi.

To put into basic English: This game is FREAKING COOL!

First off, the idea is just brilliant - With these two weapons you can chain yourself together with the world and even manipulate it in order to solve the puzzles. I can see that other weapons (or maybe should I call them tools?) could be invented as well that can do distinct things.

Second, the art, aesthetics, and the general feel of the game is my personal favorite! I'm really passionate about dark and gory visuals, and to top it off, everything on the game including the font twitchings, complement really well to a horror ambience.

The puzzles are really challenging as well, took me quite some time to get to the end, but it was overall a fun experience! It is incredible that you managed to fit in many puzzle features such as the bubble in such a short period of time and manage to deliver all of these well-rounded levels! Noticed a few bugs here and there (like in some levels you could pull the block with the harpoon down and you'll slide to the left and fall into a hole), but they are really minor and can easily be ignored with just a simple restart.

And finally, the music is really simple but it complements so well to the game's atmosphere. Wonderful job! This was by far one of my favorite games in the jam! Maybe you could even turn this into a full game, like Baba Is You! Going to my top 20 favorites list!

I hope you get into the top 100.

I would be very happy if you would play my game.

It took me a while to figure out how it works initally but once I did, A+!

Amazing outcome of a 48 hour jam, awesome atmosphere, visuals and audio. Expecting this to be in the top 10 at least.

Really really good game! Nice visuals, nice central mechanic, just very excellent! I got stuck on one of the levels, though, and there are some minor glitches like pulling platforms through walls and somehow surviving a wall being collapsed on me. But overall, this is just absolutely excellent!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Do you know at which level you managed to pull a platform through a wall? The way moving platforms a coded is such that we have to set up collision detectors manually. It works really well but we need some playtesting to make sure all cases are covered :p

If you don't remember it's cool! Thanks for playing!

It was on the "Come to me, Whale Eater" level. Hope this helps!

Oh great! This one is already fixed on the new version. Updating when the jam ends!

Outstanding game from gameplay to visuals. The level design was so clever, an amazing product for 48 hours!

So nice and polished I love the art style, the concept, and the level designing well done! :D

Wow, what a cool concept! I got stuck on level 7 for a good while with the tricky puzzles! That poor whale! I felt so bad every time I heard the whale noises. Great work, especially for just 48 hours!

Really love the visuals, sound, and atmosphere! The mechanics are interesting and have quite a bit of depth, though I don't know if I ever fully understood what the pink bubbles do. It seems like they always activate gravity in a certain direction after you pull yourself towards them?

I love the messages that appear as you progress through the level and it really gives a sense of lore. The graphics are also nice and readable, it's fairly easy to tell apart all the different elements on screen.

The game also reminded me a bit of https://lonebot.itch.io/what-goes-up, but you go in a pretty different direction with the rotation and large expansive levels.

One piece of constructive feedback for the level design might be to unify as many red patches as possible and to remove the ones that are not part of the level. In a lot of the levels there are red patches along the same wall that are broken up where it wouldn't have affected the solution if you joined them together. The inaccessible wall elements used for aesthetics also often had a lot of red patches which made the level itself a bit difficult to read.

Developer(+1)

Yeah you got the pink bubbles right! They kinda have a pontier side that indicates which direction they're going to throw you. We're planning on making them look a little bit more like arrows on a future release for sake of clarity :p

What Goes Up wasn't really a direct inspiration but we noticed some similarities once we started developing the idea, so we actually used it as inspiration for the spinning animation when you're floating!

Thanks for the feedback on the red patches! I've been on and off doing some adjustments to the levels based on what I saw from other people playing and you can definitely expect these to be more consistent on a post jam update

Thanks for playing!

This is a really interesting mechanic I like it. I think readability could be better, for a while I thought the first grapple point was a wall section. I like the turning of the screen, definitely allows for some great stuff. Well done

The game juice is just oozing out of this one! Not a huge fan of the actual character sprite, but the rest is absolutely awesome! And the screen shake! And the sounds! Definitely elevates this game above the rest!

I did run into a few bugs where I was able to catch myself inside a block, but it wasn't really a big deal because it's so easy to reset. Great game, and hope it does well in the jam!

I was hard pressed for time when I started playing but I just couldn't stop. Very Polished and very well thought out plan. Well Done.

BTW, Would love for you to try my game too.

It is an Action Platformer with unique controls.
