Great game! Really good concept and cool way of story telling! I initially got the bad ending, then the good ending, then the partially bad ending. I am having a hard time getting the partially good ending, but I am not sure if I am doing it wrong, or if that ending is super buggy, or what. Still, really cool idea! You should keep working on this game! It's really cool and inspires me to want to try making story games like this! Great job!

How does your game fit the theme?
In this game, you try to be "Joined Together" with your "self" again... Check out the trailer! https://youtu.be/dMWhqs4IeeQ This is a game about finding yourself and connecting with yourself. Being in a dark place, it's hard to get out, but there is always a first step. Choices matter... Warning: Themes of Breakup & War...

I think this was my first full 5 stars:
Fun: It's not technicaly "fun", but it brought me joy to play it and I got curious to try again and see new lines and outcomes. It's so good it made me want more.
Originality: It uses the theme in the most incredible, creative and touching way, I've seen so far. Be joined with yourself in a deep way.
Presentation: The art style and use of colors, the music and how it changes accordingly, the falling affect and all the animations, just amazing
Thanks for submiting this masterpiece!
Wow, ive been playing really interesting games in a row now, very emotional, interesting and unique. If you guys liked this game consider trying out Alma as well.
I love how games can connect with people and convey real emotions, probably even better than some other media.
Kudo to the developers.
Also, if you have time to check out my game and rate it it would be amazing, mine is not deep at all. At least not yet, lol.
Cool story game! I had fun playing but 3 of 4 tries ended up by just walking left/right to the void (nothing was showing up) so I had to restart (I think I might be going the wrong way). Other than that I gotta say it was quite deep story. Maybe just adjust the movement (add barriers or text so players don't walk into void). Good job! I am happy I could try it out.
Nice and interesting game! I had to restart at times because I kept moving left and nothing was showing up, but I thought the art style was really interesting and the music and sound design was quite good!
Great work!
Really interesting take on the theme! It was fun to play for no other reason that it looks and feels so different from everything else submitted.
i got 3 different endings! after the bad ending (connection score -0.99), it was great to see more hopeful endings :)
Actually, I was starting out with a jump and wanted to do a platformer, and then that got too much for me so I decided to just focus on what I was trying to achieve (connection with the self) so I went with that 😅 in hindsight, choosing what direction to walk in would have been a better idea yeah... thank you
An interesting take of the theme and well executed. The environment and music really complement each other. You did a great job making the way to spawn text interesting. Having multiple endings is a fun way to increase replayability. The animation are smooth, realistic and adds a lot of detail to the game.
I think that the writing needs work. One moment the player is talking about hating people and the next moment he wanted to take up the piano. It loses a bit on relatability because the thoughts of the player can be quite childish at times. There's also a problem I face where I don't know who the large text in the of the screen belong to. Sometimes it agrees with the player, sometimes the player outright rejects it.
It's a nicely polished game overall. Great job getting it done on time!
The text at the top is your subconsciousness/innervoice that you can connect with through self-realization, this happens when you literally pick yourself up in the game :) I know, some might think it's so deep adele could roll in it, but I rly put my heart & soul in it. You're right about the "One moment the player is talking about hating people and the next moment he wanted to take up the piano.", I did want to do in-depth branching but it was rly hard with just 48 hours. I just kept it to 2 paths and crossed them once resulting in 4 endings to have a somewhat gamified concept. I wanted to do a side-scroller with jumping and stuff (to go look for your colorful "self" in a puzzle-platformer fashion) but I failed at that cause of the pressure a jam brings along, this felt bad but I chose to focus instead on what I found the most important aspect of what I wanted to deliver, and I went along with it. Being joined together with the self, mind & heart <3 (or whatever you wanna call it) :) Thank you so much for your comment. I rly appreciate in-depth reviews like this.
Be carefull the sound is extremly loud when we launch the game !
Except that I love the way you did a narrative game with a great take on the theme !
I agree with others, interesting take. I actually didn't realize you could do anything in whatever the opposite direction was from where you'd been going until reaching the end the first time so I was a bit bewildered 'till then.
I appreciated that the uneven text remained on screen long enough that it could be read fine still.
Thank you for the experience! Definitely valuable for people to consider and think these kinds of things through.
Perfect! I was exactly hoping for that, so you could first experience the dark and despair and then figure out a way to experience the hope and enlightenment. I've also made sure that the ingame options box doesn't cover the text during a gamepause. Thank you so much for your comment! Means a lot to me..!
Hello! We really liked how you used the text animation to express emotion, nice one! Good atmosphere all around in this game.
