Woooow, I’m really impressed!

This is so well done!

Idk where to start, so much to love about this one!

It’s a short little thought, it says what wants to, and it gets out quick!

I really love how you can feel clear you’re a child because everything is bigger then you!

It really helps selling the fact you’re a kid.

The stealth was stressful but the right amount of stressful if you ask me!

I have to say I did feel kind of lost in the woods but maybe that was the point of it.

And if that’s true, than its really well done because even I felt really lost (and in the moment was wishing for some landmarks) I still managed to finish the segment in a reasonable amount of time. (idk of that’s coincidence or intended, but if intended its so well done)

Also love how this game has a beginning, middle and ending.

The ending did really felt climactic.

So extra props to the director!

Love it!

Really well done, especially for a game jam game!

only missing some clear feedback when I hit a enemy.

really nice, loved this one! ;D
love how its sounds, and really like the cinematic quality it has! :)
only needed some time to figger out the controls/what-to-do.
well done, great entry! ;D

cool desert landscape! :)
but really missing some sound though!
enjoyed it! :)

thx a lot for playing Em! ;D
glad you liked it! ;D

about the drone minigame: you totally right ;)
every body say that about the inverted controlls ;)
so never gonna do that again haha, learned my lesson ;p
about it being to sensetive, I diddn't hear that on ebefore, so good you let me know it :)
the reason its so sensitve is for 2 reasons:
-it was hard to give the player a strong sense of being in controll of the drone
-and the sharp turns of 90 degree did make a problem. (maybe I should have made a sepered area for the drone (now it uses the basement for real))
so thats the reason why, but good to know that diddn't feel right ;)

and also about the robot voice:
also a lot of people having this prroblem.
really wanted to subtitle it, but did not manage to do that in the deadline :| (maybe will push a update in the future with subtitles)

thx again for playin and your feedback Em! ;D

hi squeezebotjam, thx a lot for playing! ;D
well thats intresting that you say that.
most of my games to me feels like I let me inspire through games from late 90's till early 00's.
really like how the big studios than where a lot more experimenting, they really had a way more intresting pacing if you ask me, and they dare to be way more weird!
so that it makes you think of the gen 64 era, I see that as a big compliment :)

about those assets: thats a fair queston! ;)
reused a lot of assets, but for the most part all assets has been created during the jam.
I think 20% was premade and 80% is made for this jam!
where does a game start not beeing made exclusive being made for a game jam?
I think thats a queston that everybody awnsers differently, but for me it still feels like I made this game exclusive for this jam! ;)

yeah those inverted controlls where a mistake, almost everybody diddn't like it!
so I've learned my lesson, never gonna make that kind controls inverted ever again. ;p
also did hear about the puzzle not controlling very comfortly with a controller.
still don't get what has gone wrong there :|
but glad people tell me about it, and wil check it extra in the future if I'm doing something like that again! ;)

thx again for playing and the great feedbak squeezebotjam ;D

nice, thx for letting me know! :) (really helpfull :))
haha yeah learned so much by making this game! ;D
and I think I'm not gonna participate in jams that are shorter than a week anymore.
because most of the jams I participated on where 48 hours and and now I joinend a jam that was 2 weeks, I feel that I much more got the chance to make what I wanted tot make! :)
thx again for playing and your really nice comments ony! (was really helpfull ;D)

did left a comment on yours!
I did really like it! :D

here is my game: https://itch.io/jam/one-minute-jam/rate/1286827

its about a spy who has to disarm 4 bombs that go off in one minute.
but there is not enough time to disarm them all in one mintue.
luckly he has just got a new gadget that he can use to to get in a time loop to disarm all the bombs with multiple versions of himself!

damm, I really like this one! :)

as a former video editor how has done a lot of tv work I really do like this.
how you explain in one minute how f*cked up tv can be. ;p
especialy with those secret files :)
played it multiple times! :)

only wished you place some simple ambiance sound in the beginning (before the wending music kicks in), now to quite there.

really well done, absolutly like this one! ;D

thx a lot for playing Ony!!!! ;D
glad you liked it!! :)

cool you pointed out you thought the robot voice was singing :)
your the first one to say this.
and its funny because the songs root note (on the dancefloor) is a B.
and we used a vocoder to make that robot voice sound.
but a vocoder always needs a carrier, we used a synth how constant playing a B note.
so the voice was matching with the music :)
so you could say its kind of singing haha :)
nice that you pointed this out ;D

but weird it doesn't wanna show the GameJunk leader.. :|
but good to know! :)
do you maybe know, does your computer have problems playing H264 video files? (because thanI know why)

but thx again for playing Ony! :)
and for the really kind comment! :D

cool!! :)

ah that explains! :)
cool you build some parkour mechanic into it! :)

check ;)
well if you push a update some time, remind me here if you want! :) (like to play it :))

cool you want to try mine as well, really curious what you think of it! :)

cool! :)
really like the art on the menu screen! ;D
well done ;)

funny idea! :)
but it was way to hard for me at least.
well done! ;)

cool! :)
plato would be proud haha! ;)

cool color scheme!
really like how this game looks! ;)

cool play with tension! :)
really intresting to feel such powerless when trying to reach the phone!

nice! ;D
like this one! :)
like the art style, and the idea with the theme :)
only didn't get how I can disable the alarm clock!

this game so cute!
absolutly love it! :D
great great presentation! :)
the music and artstyle go so well together!! :) (it really makes me think of "into the woods", that game I really love :))
also really like the interpertation of the theme! :)
we know this feeling of saying good bye to someone who has to catch there train! :)
only wish I could play it full screen. (the text was hard to read for me)

love this entry, well done ;)

really cool game!
best presentation I have seen so far! ;D
the art is really gorgeous and absolutly love the music and sounfx! :)
really well done, love this entry! ;D

cool game! :)
like the sound design a lot :)
and the visual style! :)

well done, great entry :)

nice :)
there is a lot in the presentation what makes me think of lego rock raiders (the pc version is a great game)
so I like that! :)
and also the controls feel very smooth :)
well done ;)

ooh nice, this one was fun! ;D
really did make me think about crazy taxi driver! :)
only wish the controller where a little bit less stiff!
but fun entry, well done! ;)

cool, also a entry about a spy! :)
cool envoirments, and the chr + movement felt really inspired bij spiderman isn't it? ;)
the only thing what was not clear was the objetive.I did find the control panel, but diddn't know how to interact with it.
great entry ;)

also you said you couldn't upload the to itch.io because of the file limit.
we had the same problem (where also using unreal).
but itch.io's butler program let you upload a lot more! ;)
we manage to upload a file of 3.09gb. (that was only as a test, we did optimize are game to get it to 1,9gb)

really cool! ;D
the movement of the character feel very satifying! :) (those roll are really well find ;D)
a bit hard to master but it stil feels fair! ;) (don't it your intension to make somehow hard to master, if so: well done ;))
great entry ;)

hey leffy21!
I totally understand, optimization is not my best piont to be honest haha ;p
so it is quite heavy to run
but cool you wanna try it somewhere in the future! ;D
really curious what you think of it! :)
thx again for trying! :)

thx for the big complements hangarter! :D

you totally right about the darkness.
on some computers its way darker than it supposed to be.
next time I will add slider so people can set it so it looks good on there machine!

but thx a lot for playing hangarter! ;D
glad you liked it! :)

(1 edit)

2 really legitimate points! ;)
I showed it to a friend today on his computer and it was way to dark indeed.
next time will make a slider to increase the brightness! ;)
and about the subtitles we really wanted to add them but unfortunately we diddn't had time to inplement them :| (maybe I will in a update in the future :))
especially because of the vocoder it is sometime hard to understand whats being said.

a nice to hear you like the dancefloor song! ;D (made it myself (, but not during the jam though))
if you like to listen to it, I have a playlist on youtube with soundtrack of this game: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-RFP0bPv6IF0gU1xdtSfl3rRVjcDixcv

thx a lot for playing qcplus! :D
