How does your game fit the theme?
In the game you control two characters whose fates have been joined together by a curse. So they live together, act together and also die together :)

I like the simple fast pasted gameplay. Character swapping is a little unresponsive though (e.g. while in the air). This creates situations which I think are unbeatable (or at least really hard) quite regularly.
Thanks!
The idea is cool and the art is great :D Like other people said the gunner enemy is really hard to deal with :/ maybe make the bullets slashable that would be more fun i think.
Other than that the game should start with easy obstacles then ramp it up.
I would like to play this again with more obstacle types you should definetly work on it after the jam :D
Thank you for your feedback. Stay tuned for the even more awesome post-jam version!
That's a lovely take on the runner genre !
Here's small tips, those are personal opinions so feel free to not apply them ;D
Anyway, this is a pretty good entry. Well done !
Very grateful for your feedbacks and suggestions. We’ll try to implement as many of them as we can!
Love the concept but the controls don't feel very smooth. Needs more coyote time and the ability to swap midair. I like that the music starts out slow, but I rarely get past the opening trill so after several attempts at jumping over the buff gunslinger dude it starts to become jarring. The run should always start slow and have no gunners for a while.
A sound or animation when swapping is a must for future updates!
As others have said, the obstacles should stand out more in their environment.
Excited to see where this game will go next- maybe there could be a second action for each character and more types of obstacle that are introduced as you run, or more combos which require both characters to complete (such as jumping up and then attacking in midair to clear an enemy with a shield). Good luck!
Thanks for the feedback. We’ll add more exciting features in this game post-jam, so stay tuned!
This is really addicting! Like others have said, I wish you could switch mid-air. I hope you keep working on it post-jam!
Thank you! We’ll surely keep working on it post jam
My high score was 7476, on a beautiful run where no gunners appeared and I finally got to experience just how polished and fun the game could be. I never was able to get past that gunner, though. Sometimes, the load out was impossible (I once had two gunners on both levels right at the start) and I couldn't dodge both at once. The swapping feels a little underwhelming, I think it would help to have some sort of noise or effect to make that sort of shift feel very snappy. There could also be some re-balancing of how the level loads out, because when you load up the game for the first time (excluding the gunners) it can feel a bit impossible when these enemies are thrown at you immediately. Perhaps a tutorial mode on how to approach enemies would be helpful? The gunners themselves feel broken, even when I jumped over the bullet and timed it perfectly I was never able to swap in time. The obstacles are a bit hard to see too, I missed a couple at first until I knew what to look for. Still, on that run with no gunners, the music started kicking in and it felt incredible. That incredible feeling is in this game, and I'm so excited for you to have the opportunity post-jam to polish it, capture it and release it. Good job!
You beat the developer’s hiscores 😅. There are some very interesting points you raised. We’ll take them into account in the Post Jam version
The idea is very simple and cool! Many times less is more and it is appreciated to see more polished games with less things than ambitious unfinished games. But yes, it is VERY difficultd jaja
Thanks!
it was really well executed but the maybe let player switch mid air and also take input from mouse button nice work!
Thanks for your feedback!
Oh god where do I begin, the art is wonderful, and the aesthetic fits the concept pretty well, well done on that. The concept is also pretty nice in itself, and I think it's a nice twist on a classic take of the theme of the jam.
Sound effects: I love that you can mute them, but would prefer if you could turn then down with a volume slider, it's just a little bit too loud for me.
Graphics: Beautiful
Gameplay: Super fast paced and addictive, even though I wasn't very good at it after 10 minutes of playing ;(
Suggestions:
- A "return to menu" option in the death screen
- The controls don't seem very intuitive to me, perhaps change the "action" to the space bar?
- Sometimes the characters have to do actions staggered, e.g, the jump, and then the attack has to happen after, but doing that will almost certainly get the ninja killed.
- For game jams in general I recommend finding a difficulty that works for you, the game developers, and then turning it down by not one, but two notches before releasing. This is a mistake that I also made in my submission, albeit it's really hardcore here.
Really great jam entry, I enjoyed playing it!
Thank you for the detailed feedback! We’ll take them into account in a post jam version, so stay tuned!
Ahh, this game is so challenging!
The controls are very easy, love it, and I'll keep playing until I beat my high score (3300).
Maybe let them switch when in the air, that would make it easier.
Well done!
Thanks for the feedback! [And do tell us when you beat the hiscore 😜]
The aesthetics are really nice and I like the concept of the two characters having different abilities. I'm not ready for such a challenge though, I must meditate under a waterfall while I consider how to improve.
remember my student: xcc
Thanks!
This is so hard to play but overall enjoyable!! The background is pretty cool! Nice job
The game is really fun and challenging!
I would suggest allowing players to switch even mid-air, otherwise the game gets too hard to play at times, also the gun guy is very hard to beat so you can make him a lot less common
Overall an amazing entry to the jam, great job!
Thanks for the feedback!
A fun runner game! I like the variety of enemies and things to jump over. I unfortunately could never get past a single gun enemy. The switching mechanic wasn't super responsive at time and i couldn't switch in time for my next jump. Very visually pleasing and the animation is spectacular.
Thanks!
Gun guy is kind of impossible, but I liked the flow of it all. good job
U know, u need to train like samurai - 10 years to beat him
guess I'll have to move to the Himalayas to find great sensei boongoo.
May you find the knowledge you seek 😅
Wow, this was a tough one! Really well implemented and I like the idea of the characters switching to where they are needed. Good job!
Thank you for your kind words! :)
It was one of the games that was performant enough to run on my potato computer, I appreciate that!
Also, neat idea, combined runner. Would appreciate tighter/faster controls for maximum responsivity though.
Agreed! Will be working on fixing that!
The main mechanic is awesome but it's really hard. It looks great and has a nice heavy atmosphere.
Thank you!
What a polished game! The only issue is that it's freaking difficult! Lmao. I hate that damn gunner! The game fits the theme perfectly, the sound effect and graphics matched together along with the music. Although, as someone has said, I wish I could switch mid-air too so that I can kill that goddamn gunner! Above all, gg, well done for this project!
thank u ! we working on finishing this game, and we will fix this guy +)
