Quite impressive of you to make a game like this in only 2 days. Nicely done. The art style is attractive, the music is good and the gameplay is engaging. Perhaps the UI could use a little bit more polish but this is still a very well-made game.

Overall, nicely done. Keep it up!

thx a lot for playing blood_jackal23! :D
glad you liked it! :D
To be honest: I diddn't do it on my own. (I made it together with a friend of mine: Vlogergames )
and I agree on to UI part! ;)
its kind of ugly (I really made it in a hurry haha ;p) and some feedback for hitting the right buttons would also be nice! ;)
but thx a lot for the compliments and feeback! :) (really appreciate it :))

thx firelord bob! :)

I really like the esthetic ! and the story it's cool :-)
It would have been cool that dancing would kill the Police units.
Then placement and the ability to move  would make sense  then.

Also it was a bit hard to look at the actual game because the eyes are always on the time bar.
It's crazy tho that you did that in 48h

hi satolas
thx for playing our entry! :)
well you could kill them, but the collision detection is just sooooo bad that I really understand it felt like its not possible. :|
srry for that, next time that will be my number one priority! ;)

I really agree with you (a lot of people saying that ;)), next time I think I will give them attacks on the sequencer all there own differnt color outline to make that easier.
and maybe also 2 attacks instead of 4.

haha thx, although I diddn't do it all on my own this. ( did it together with a friend of mine: Vlogergames )
thank you so much for playing! :D

The gameplay is unique but still definitely needs a decent amount of polish, but those cinematics and graphics alone need to get you first place

Developer

wow thats a big comliment zesty the lemon! :D
thank you so much! :D (also for playing :))
and I tottaly agree with you on the fact that it really needs more polishing ;) (especialy the collision detection)
thx again for playing ;D

Really original! It was a bit hard to follow when it came to the hits and the tutorial was a bit two slow for my test, But I trully think the idea behind the game is really unique. Good job!

Developer

thx a lot for playing nayadeya! :D
glad you liked the idea of the game!
I really agree with you!
the tutorial is a bit tedious (or maybe 2 bits haha ;p), the reason we implement it was because we where afraid the the ranges of attacks wherend clear. (and looking back at it, better feedback when hitting was a better solution xD)
and collision detection is also really bad, what makes matters even worse. xD
thx again for playing! :D

It is a bit weird with so many controls to focus on the enemies and which button you have to hit. But it is a great idean and the music is excellent ^^

Developer

thank you for playin jorlon dev! :)
hmm I think you have a good point there.
I was thinking that if I do someting like this in the future, giving each attack in the sequencer there own color outline would fix part of the problem but implementing less attacks would also be a good idea. (just 2 would be enough I guess)
great feedback, thx a lot! :D
and glad you like the music! :) (the main theme is made during the jam! :))

It is really hard to focus on both the rythm section and the battle (especially with the lack of feedbacks).

However, I am an absolute fan of the cinematic moments. They work so well !

thx a lot for playing fledered! :)
I totally agree with you!
next time I think I would give all te attack there own outline color when I do someting like this!
and indeed the bad feedback didn't help it either.
combining that with the bad collision detection, makes matters even worse (had a lot of issues with it during this jam)

really nice you loved cutscenes! :)
to be honest with you its what I love the most making during development! :)
so if you could use someone who makes cut scene's for a game jam, let me know! ;)
I really would like to team up with you! ;)
thx again for playing :D

Why not, teaming up with you could be fun x) I'll keep that in mind for my future game jams !

Developer

great, let me know when you could use my help! ;D

Thx a lot for playing legends games! :D
glad you liked it! :D

Fun idea! Wish it wasn't such a big download though, haha

Developer

thx ericfreeman! :)
and srry for the big download.
its a problem I always have a lot, and I see more amateur UE4 devs like me struggle with it. xD
thx again for playing, and the puppet quest sounds nice, gonna try it! :)

Amazing concept! I don't know why but I felt good seeing the main character dance alone on the court. A very likable character! Following the dance moves is a bit hard, but is really fun. My favorite attack is definitely the 360. Nice job guys!

Developer(+1)

thank you for playing gabriel bissonnette! :)
nice you liked the cutscene, I really love to make those! :)
haha yeah the foward attack and the 360 are definetly the least janky haha ;p
thx again for playing :)

Only halfway through did I realize the camera was clipping through a wall and I couldn't see anything. Sick intro, neon robot future city and a bunch of baddies who simply can't stand boogy, whats not to love?

Developer

hi cutipus,
thx a lot for playing! :)
srry for the camera issue's.
we did know about the camera issue's, the problem was that if we set a collision box around the camera, the camera would go haywire when too much enemies serounds you! xD
but nice you liked it! :D
I'm gonna try "On The Brink of Link" ;)

It was a bit hard to see the icons for what buttons to hit as they weren’t very distinctive, but once I got the hang of it, this is a pretty fun mix of a rhythm game and beat’em’up. Nice job!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

thx for playing sayori argyle! ;D
yeah I really agree ;)
it's too hard now to look at the action and the seqeuncer ad the same time.
I think next time, I will give the buttons on screen all there own outline color, think that will make it easyer! ;)
but nice liked it! :D
I'm gonna play "golf 2" now! ;D

Awesome game! I was beating through the tutorial just waiting to be let loose into the streats to fight off others with my sick dance moves. Great aestetics, loved the dance moves. It was sometimes hard to see if my moves hit the coppers, but other than that it had a great feel!

Developer (2 edits) (+1)

Hi extrillo :)
thank you so much for playing the game! ;D
glad you liked it! :)
and I totally agree with what you say!
the programming to hit things diddn't go that well xD (first time for me to program hack and slash mechanics)
hitting is hard and the feedback for hitting is also not that good.
and the tutorial is also kind of tedious, the reason we included it was because of the bad feedback and we where not sure that people would understand the the range of the attacks, so thats why.
but looking back at it in a way calmer matter ;p I think the tutorial should indeed be a bit quicker/shorter! ;)
thx again for playing and I'm gonna try "save yourself" now! :D
