In the last level you need to talk to maurice (he is located in the past dimension) and finish the conversation, the game will end shortly after that

Description

Death...famine...pestilence...Maurice. That's how the apocalypse happened, in that specific order. A group of survivors are trapped in a dangerous place called the "splouch ouch that was lava" Hills. Among them was bob. He promised to take them to the safe zone (he was probably lying to be honest). Using his white round thingy, an ancestor retrieval device, bob has the power to control his ancestor bob to help them in their perilous mission to find Maurice.

The gameplay was really satisfying because it was feeling really responsive. Instant respawns and fluid platforming. I had a hard time getting used to the controls, but it was super fun. Great game!

The atmosphere was super enjoyable with the music and graphics! It's missing a little bit of polishing, but otherwise awesome game:)

The story was interesting, the game is polished and fun to play! Could very well be a full game, nice job!

I liked the split screen and your game concept, it was fun to play! Impressive for a single programmer

When I started moving around I said "If this is what I think it is, that's awesome". And it was indeed awesome. It's SO SATISFYING to move around with the branch sound. I was at 14/15 when I got caught, it was like a jumpscare haha but it is cool that I didn't have to restart from scratch.

I didn't quite catch that I had to bend the tree at first (and the tree sound is louuud) so rip my ears.

Hey I must admit the character controller felt a bit clunky at first but once you understand it it's super fun to move around! The theme is simple/easy to understand and the atmosphere felt complete with the sounds and music! + I always love a penguin game:) great game

Ok. I know I'm biased, but using a console is incredible. You want to test a new levels miles away? godMode enabled. You want to kill a boss without doing the entire level? loadScene "BossFight". Endgame item? SpawnItem "EpicSword". Yes it takes a bit of time to set everything properly, but in the end it's very worth it.

I had a fun time playing! I took my time for every recipe so I didn't have any explosion!

The art style is unique and super well made for a jam, as well as the audio.

My favorite part is all the small details, the guy in the window, the leaves and interacting with the ingredients feels satisfying!

Also I'm really glad you liked the art, it's the result of years of trying! (I did the backgrounds and characters and stephy did some beautiful totems and pickables)

I understand what you're saying about something missing, we planned for a bigger scope but had to remove stuff with the limited time:/

If you want to really go to outer space I'll reveal a secret. Press Tab + E to unlock my dev console and then press tab again to open it. Then you can activate godMode.
