Nice and polished game. I love the art style and sound effects. Puzzles were great ballanced, but thanks for the hint in that one puzzle, because I wouldn't solve that just by myself.
Great game, really a lot to expand on here. Like others...Bridge, but I got it after I read the explanation.
Easy thing to fix though going forward and why these play sessions are great to find where it needs to improve.
Nice work!
Incredibly polished and well made, absolutely loved it, very simple but cool mechanic, nothing too fancy going on but everything is done extremely well, like others i tought some parts were a bit too tight and unforgiving, but didn't hold me up for more than 5 minutes, it was really really cool, incredible job!
This game is wonderful. I voted 5/5 on everything.
The Mechanic is really fun, and great to explore with. The game is very original as well. The presentation is beautiful, I love the aesthetic! Also, I enjoyed the audio and the snappiness of the Ki.
I got stuck on the bridge at the first checkpoint like others did. Consider adding a gif that demonstrates how to get through that part if possible.
Stuck on the bridge, as the others :( The art is lovely and the core mechanic is nice, good job!
Yo great game! hate to say it but I got stuck on the bridge too :)
very nice answer to the game, the game felt very engaging from the start and it was cool puzzles, I really liked the switch when jumping max height to access new levers, great job!
Fun mechanic, but like other's I got stuck on the bridge and couldn't figure it out
great game! got stuck on the bridge bit. but really well put together!
Really enjoyed it! The controls all felt really tight, the visuals are great, and the puzzles are all engaging. I wish it was a little longer or had some more varied uses of the Ki in later puzzles, but that comes with the territory on Game Jams.
I kept wanting the option to have my Ki move faster with a shorter time window, but that's probably just because I'm impatient and always throw myself headlong into danger in platformers.
Thanks! :D
Yeah, length or variation was definitely something I wish I had had more time on. There were a couple of interesting other mechanics that I didn't get time to implement.
Interesting thought about the Ki speed! I think if it were made faster, I'd also have to tighten up the controls a bit? I'd worry that the floatiness would be too frustrating otherwise.
Thanks for playing!
Looks really good! I wasn't really sure what to do about the dual bridges since I couldn't regain control in time to jump while my spirit toggled the bridge, so I completed it by standing almost pixel-perfect on the bridge to toggle the switch on the other side. Or maybe that was the solution?
I like the platforming and the environment is beautiful. I'd love to play more!
Thanks for playing! Yeah, sorry about the bridge level, the design wasn't great there. The mechanic that it was supposed to teach was that your spirit gains some extra initial speed if you're already moving when you release it - so if you just stand near the edge and release it, you won't reach the switch, but if you're already running towards the edge, you will. But unfortunately I think I made it too subtle of a boost, that players didn't actually notice it.
