Great job!
Incredible game. It's a shame for all the different bugs but it definitely didn't impact the fun I had completing it. Wish there were more levels and more items/mechanics.
For some reason, on lvl 4, the key actually gives me armor instead. Other than that, really like your concept, and your pixel art suits the game perfectly. Well done!
This is really good. Fantastic visuals, fun game play, and loads of polish. The only problems I have are a few bugs such as the menu, but it didn't ruin the game. Fantastic job.
On of my favorite puzzle games of the jam! Super polished, looks good, and great level design. The bugs weren't that bad (I don't know if you were worried about that or not). Not much criticism other than make more levels! Also, could you play my game and give me feedback. I'd really appreciate it.
this is such a cool idea! i had so much fun with this, i could literally imagine a whole game of just doing these puzzles!
Really fun game! Presentation is great, and it's a really nice and polished experience (especially love the pseudo-3D pixel art). Wish there were more levels, but that seems like the mark of a good game since you've left the player wanting more. Oh well, only so much that can be done in 2 days!
Maybe one bit of critical feedback would be that it was a little jarring to be able to grab some items and not others. I think there was a shield and a key at one point or another that I couldn't grab, and while it was part of the puzzle (how do I get this key if I can't just drag it out of the room!?), it did break the internal logic of the game a bit... maybe if there was some kind of glowing effect around them to say that these are special non-interactable objects like non-rewindable objects in Braid which have a green glowing effect around them to mark them as unique?
Overall, great submission!
Thanks for the feedback!
I tried to differentiate draggable items by making them wiggle. But yeah, it is not noticeable enough. I will definitely add some kind of glowing effect after the jam!
Really fun, but after I beat level 6 it is taking me back to level 4. Music stoped playing quite fast - I believe it is not looped.
I was gonna comment the same thing. I wish the game had more levels
Solid. Great concept for puzzle solving. Can see it growing.
Got stuck on level 3 and couldn’t advance. Art style is very cute and well accomplished, the presentation is clear. Wish I could mute the game as I found the music a bit grating and very loud. Great job overall!
The title doesn't seem to be explained much :P Another bug to add is that the audio stops after a while. Neat lil game though :) I feel like it could be mixed with something like Theyest Thou somehow.
Thank you for the bug report!
I didn't explain it anywhere in the game, but the title means that you don't control the main character, thus you are not the hero
This is a very cool idea with a funny artstyle. I would have liked a little hint on what the items are and do. But on the other hand, you get it when playing. Would love more levels! :)
Nice idea for a puzzle game, I think I would have prefered it if it would been locked to a grid instead.
I would too, but didn't have time to implement this
I think I will add this after the jam. Thanks for the idea!
Nice concept ! Great visuals. I think this game has a lot of potential with more levels, and more objects. It's a nice prototype. Good job !
I love the concept, and the levels are well designed, teaching the player new mechanics very well
I did however, get stuck on level 6 because the adventurer kept trying to open an already unlocked gate. Don't know if that's intentional, but I doubt it
It is not intentional, however he would get stuck anyway, because there would be nowhere to go next (he must see the second door)
The solution is to place an item in bottom right corner, so he comes out of that room and sees the enemy
I tried that, but for some reason, he'd grab it and double back towards the door
This is really cool! What a great concept.
Thanks!!!
