How does your game fit the theme?
Your laser eyes are uncontrollable: you can't turn them off. This means that to get around the game you have to actively avoid staring at stuff such as TNT so as not to burn it (and blow yourself up alongside it).

Did your team create the art for this game during the 48 hour time slot?

I love the hole desing of the game and it`s also super fun, i could play it for hours!!!!

Pretty fun idea. I especially like how you do need to destroy some crates, instead of not destroying any.

Top game of the jam for me so far. Such a simple but brilliantly executed idea that makes for a brilliant puzzle platform, which definitely has legs! Make more levels I'd say, it's incredibly well done

A fun idea that is well executed. I enjoyed playing your game a lot. You did great :)

Submitted(+1)

Great game, love it!

Submitted(+2)

Cool idea for a puzzle game. Reminds me of the first X-men movie.

I just love that your ability at first is a restriction, but with time it becomes an empowering tool

This was a fun twist on this mechanic. I liked being able to aim the laser instead of having it just go wherever; although I suppose that also meant I never felt very out of control. But I do like your take on the theme a lot and I had a great time playing through this. Nice job!

That was just great! Would have loved to have kept playing!

this was a fun little puzzle platformer! the mirrors were an especially nice touch

Submitted(+1)

What a good idea. Well executed platformer, and the reflections were a natural progression for the puzzles.

WIN!

Simple but brilliant idea! It's also quite quick, but I think it's good for jam game to not be that long. I liked the addition of mirrors very much too.

Great job!

Nice concept, fun game!

This is a super solid game! I really like the concept and the challenge. I could really see you building this out in to a full game! Nice!

Thanks! We might flesh it out some more so follow our account if you wanna be kept updated with that.

unique concept! be careful there is TNT :D

That's a pretty cool idea :) I enjoyed the puzzles and they seemed well designed! The laser mechanic was very cool and I wonder how you programmed it :P Only the level with a lot of mirrors, some offscreen, seemed a bit random and I wasn't sure how to solve that except by trial and error. Overall great submission!

The laser is a raycast and two textured lines (one for the laser and one for the glow). On every frame, the line's points are set to the raycast origin and collision point, unless it hits a mirror, in which case the raycast and line handling function will get called recursively.

I noticed that in the last level but didn't have much time to mess with the camera to fix it. All of the mirrors are on screen when you start the level though, only the two at the top are hidden by the camera when you step down.

Fun game! The art and audio assets are top notch - I'm surprised there was so much content and polish given the amount of time in the jam, nice work. I liked the level design and felt they introduced concepts like tnt and mirrors really well. I felt that the mirror asset could look more "mirror-y" as I wasn't sure what it was until I shot a laser at it.

Overall, great puzzle game with interesting mechanics - awesome!

What a cool and lovely concept! I really liked the execution of this. The puzzles were interesting, fair, clear and beatable. Of course, I blew myself up from time to time, but you made I always knew WHY I died and what I should do the next time to avoid it, which is crucial for a puzzle game. I loved the art, animations, sounds and little details (like the window washer washing off the WASD letters), you guys did a lot in the 48 hours. The only thing that sucked is that this game has left me wanting to play more! I'd definitely see this game being expanded a bit into a medium-sized puzzle game. Will you keep working on this? Anyway, good job on this entry :)
