This game has heart! The conversation at the beginning really won me over. I didn't quite understand the point of moving, since it seemed to drag me around anyway. Love the simple visuals and gorgeous music.

Wow the idea of this game is super unique and the implementation is very well made. The message in it hits hard but it also motivates to keep going. Thank you for this beautiful experience.

Really nice experience, I was trying to think of different things to type and the poor guy got overwhelmed, is there a good and a bad ending?

Developer(+1)

Yup! If you survive till the end of the song you get the good ending

Barring some technical issue, this was a great experience. The music and simple graphics really sold that concept. I would recommend creating the same idea only with antonyms , using pre-made enemies and their antonyms, or even using English APIs to infinitely create content.

Extremely good concept !

Thanks for the suggestion!

You've got something special going on there... I immediately felt empathy towards the poor little guy, and wanted to help him out :) The music sets the tone just right, the animations are smooth, and the controls are fluid. Although I did have to type with one hand, and use the other to move the mouse to move the green words to counter the red. I do like the concept a lot, the simplest and smallest words do mean a lot, like a tiny light from a candle can make a big difference in times of absolute darkness :) Reminds us to be kind to others, and to ourselves. Thank you for creating this game!

Really good presentation. But the comunication what negative and positive thoughts actually do and how they work is not clear. It seems like sometimes they do something and sometimes not

good game !

obviously, as you can type anything, it can creates funny situations... XD
I did not make it to the end, i wasn't able to drop the words at the good place to destroy the thoughts (i feel so bad for him now) ToT
But i'm happy to see more and more games about mental health !
(Maybe you'd like to try mine, it's about a hero who has panic disorder)

Good concept and original.

Was the initial idea to type actually good words? Was it a challenge to implement, I am interested what challenges did you face

Developer

I actually managed to make it so that each negative thought had a specific counter, e.g. can beats can't, but I felt that it was a bit too restrictive and it was more fun if I could type anything I want, as it can be words you actually want to hear, or more fun words like REEE or no u. I didn't really know how to make it so it can accept all good words without explicitly typing out every single one so I decided to remove the specific counters and leave it open ended.

Nice original game!

my character did a lot of screaming to handle the bad thoughts
"a" drag drop "aaa"  drag drop "aaaaaaaaaaa" drag drop

lol it was good though.  After a while i wasn't sure what i was walking around for.  It would be nice maybe if there were fewer bad thoughts but a specific response for them.

This was really nice! It would be cool if you could stock pile compliments and then dish them out, it was hard for me to constantly transition between the keyboard and mouse. This was a very nice experience and held a consistent atmosphere all the way through, and I really liked that I was able to compliment the character on anything. I felt compelled to be as nice as possible even if it wasn't the optimal way to play

Almost there, but using any word you like turns it into a drag and drop sim

very cute with a lot of potential, i'm assuming you didn't have time to program specific  words into the game but kinda made it better since i could tell the bad thoughts "ok boomer" or "no u" or even "poopoo" and it worked, if you plan on programming specific words i'd say don't limit it too much, the words should be somewhat  words but typing "no u" to a bad thought gave the game a nice comedy tone of sorts. also, i saw other games do this but switching between mouse and keyboard is frustrating usually unless you give the game a slow enough pace. i would suggest changing the controls of the words for mouse to wasd  while keeping the character idle or something.

Great use of music to create a feeling.

The aesthetics feet the feel you create and the experience is very nice.

Love the message. I love that you took this theme to an emotional level. Great job!

This made me feel kind of sad...hit me in the feels. Love the message this game sends though about positivity! Everyone has ups and downs, but keep going and there will be a sunny day on the horizon after the storm clouds are gone ^.^

Having intrusive and negative thoughts myself, i really appretiate the msg. of the game. I just wished it'd actually parse the word you're typing. I tired out things like "ugly" and it worked. So, overall, a good idea that could use some refining to get the msg across a little better :)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I'm always a bit worried when I create games like these that it might be seen as trivializing the issues its trying to visualize. I tried doing parsing where you had to type the opposite of the negative thought but at the time it made the game too hard to win, so I decided to take it out. At the time I also didn't like the parsing as it felt like I was restricting positivity, but wasn't sure how to make it so that you can only type positive words and reject any negative word.
