this is sick.

This is great. Great style. Great music. Great fun.

Sick.

1) Looks amazing.

2) Sounds amazing.

3) Super relaxing.

My favourite entry so far.

Great little game. Really love the art and colour palettes, and I admire the ambition of making a tactical game in the time available.

Hey, this looks absolutely amazing. I didn't manage to finish it because I got stuck between two physics objects and couldn't get out, but visually it is stunning.

Really nice. I love the colour palette. It didn't really matter but when I started I was stuck inside an ice block. It only took an attack to get me out but I was confused for a second. Other than that, great game. Reminds me of traversing dungeons in Final Fantasy Adventure.

Hey, really nice. It feels really smooth to play and it looks great.

Hey, we really wanted to get a save function in, but it just didn't fall into scope in the end. The best we can suggest is downloading the ROM and playing on an emulator with save states. Thanks for taking the time to play.

Really impressed with this. It's got some deep strategy to it, and being able to rewind means failure doesn't feel too grueling. As a whole it feels super polished.

Hey, you put yourself down but this is actually pretty good. It could use a bit of juice and polish but at the end of the day, you made a thing, and it's fun to play!

Hey, this is really nice. The art and sound are great, and the game plays well. One thing I did feel was that--while there is some juice when you attack enemies--when enemies attack you there is not very much feedback. Same when you get game over, it just kind of happens without any game feel. I know that's a bit of nitpicky thing to bring up, but that's because the rest was all good!

Damn, that is an interesting control scheme. I actually enjoyed the look and feel of the game. The only thing I think would be a slight improvement is if holding left and right could trigger continual movement. This game is extreme flappy bird.

Yeah, at a certain point I just embraced subpixels, even if I take a hit on it in ratings.

The level design was pretty awkward for me. There usually are ways to go back, but sometimes they are hidden, and sometimes the level design is just not good. I think the map is pretty big for the amount of time given to make the game, and that probably bit me in the ass as it isn't quite as polished as it should be.

Thanks for the kind comments and for taking the time to play.

Damn, that sucks. It might be a Safari bug, literally any key press should move you on from the title screen. Sorry it didn't work!

Super satisfying game to play. What's the strategy for pouring without dropping at least one fruit? Seems like one always falls when my blender is upside down. Anyway, great game and great job!

Hey this is really well put together. My only two nitpicks are that the music feels way too loud comparatively (maybe you can't turn it down idk), and that last corner on the west race feels impossible with the starter beater. Other than that there is an impressive amount of work in this. Absolutely great graphics.

Damn, this has a really cool style. I found the controls a little awkward to get used to, and with so much information packed into the small screen, sometimes the gameplay suffered a little because of it. But you know, on looks alone this is absolutely incredible, and the system feels pretty complex. It must have taken a lot of work to put this together. Great job.

About as hard as I remember Gitaroo Man being....

Super fun and enjoyable. Great art and style.

Thanks. I’m not happy with the level design towards the end but I was facing the deadline then. Thanks for playing it!

thanks! i appreciate you taking the time to play it

hey thanks. that’s really kind. there’s a bunch of bugs and inefficiencies that i should clean up, one being that I never actually clean up the pointless corpses that get left behind when you die. so those thousand deaths are tracking 1000 corpse entities across the map. i thought it was kind of funny for the jam. i’ll be honest, i didn’t expect anyone to play it that long!

I don’t have epilepsy, I just get migraines. So I wouldn’t want to comment on the appropriateness in terms of that. It looks good though.

Hey, I had to duck out when the epilepsy bit started, but until then it was kind of a neat thing. I think visually it has a nice style (until... you know).

Everything about this was great. I particularly wanted to comment on the sound design, but to be honest, getting a couple of those big connections was super visually satisfying. It is a subtle and meditative game that is addictive and stimulating in every way. Great job.

Wow, super EYE OF THE BEHOLDER vibes. I love the music and presentation. Great job.

Hey, this was absolutely disgusting, but also hilarious and addictive. I was surprised by how many levels there were and how much I wanted to keep playing. That rolling hot dog sound....

DEVLOG: DAY 14

the final day.

Hey, thanks!

DEVLOG DAY 11?

"the problem with the two week timespan is that it gave me the time to have a crisis of confidence with my project, but not the time to address my concerns"

DEVLOG: DAY 7

grinding and running out of interesting things to say (a.k.a going back over and fixing things that i didn't get right the first time).

DEVLOG DAY ???

i've lost track of what day it is. i need to SLAM this weekend to catch up.

DEVLOG: DAY 4

in which we talk about puzzle design and enemies.

You say you’re not the best pixel artist but it looks good to me!

That lighting is awesome.

Looking really good!

DEVLOG: DAY 3

Getting through the todo list, tinkering with cameras and trying to find the right style.

DEVLOG DAY TWO

I'm taking my two weeks for granted and moving pretty slow compared to progress I see others making, but you know, tortoise and the hare.

Day 2 entry is about dying.
