This is a really endearing idea with more than a little bit of potential! The visual style and animations are well done for a 48 hour jam and I found myself immediately attracted to it just on the concept alone.

It falls a little short for me on just a couple design missteps that end up having an outsized effect. I'll echo what others have said in the camera, but I won't dwell on it; it's been brought up already and its effects are pretty apparent. My input is that it might have been easier to forgive the camera if there had been some other effect indicating the knight's close proximity, such as a sound effect or even a screen element. More than half of my camera struggles were because I couldn't see behind me while my tongue was extended and the knight snuck up right behind me.

On balance though? I had a good time with it and it's definitely one of my more memorable plays. No game jam is perfect, and this one's flaws may be only slightly more apparent because of its overall polish. Well done all the same!

Haha really funny one !
That's what happened when you play too much dark souls!
But this version is more a yoshi-like one compare to dark soul ! :P

The mechanics is great since you have to balance your loot on your tongue to have the highest score. And it's not that easy for sure ! With all those shiny stuff everywhere.
My biggest concerned is the theme. What was your initial thoughts about it ?

Other than that, the game is great for a game jam scope !

I love the concept that you're the monster getting chased by the knight, that's really clever! Camera is a little disorienting sometimes but I got used to it pretty quick. Good job!

When I first saw the inventory I knew this will be amazing. The way the Mimic moves is awesome. I find it really cute. The camera could be improved a bit. Great work!

I found the camera a bit funky - it zoomed down a lot so I couldn't see what I was doing! But, cool game - very cute looking too. I love the little chest hopping animation :D

This is a very fun, polished, cute game! I'm not exactly sure how this really sticks to the theme, but it's hard to care when the game is so much fun!

The idea for the "Only One" was maybe a bit of a stretch, but "One Mouth" / "One Chest". Either way, had hella fun makin it!

What a cute game! Really original too, I don't think I've ever played anything like it, lol. It's a really neat idea and there's only one drawback: it's really hard to tell when you're in danger. I wish I had a way of knowing how close the knights are! My high score was 2800. What's yours?

Also, is there a way to escape, or do you always eventually get caught?

I think my score was something that eventually forced me to fix a word wrap issue ;) 2800 is good though! 
I agree the knight is a little OP right now. 

There were plans of having to escape through a door before time runs out, otherwise you will remain a mimic forever! As of now though, just when time runs out.

Really liked the visuals of the bouncing chest and the knight. Randomly generated treasures were a good idea too and placing them on my tongue really put me in the mindset of a mimic. 

The camera was a little troublesome at times, and I kept sinking into the floor though :(

I liked that you needed room on the tongue to "stick" objects to it.   A few times  had to reorganize which felt rediculous but fun.  I also liked how it was randomly generated so it made hunting for  expensive items fun for longer.  

However, I'd say it would've been better without the knights that make you reset on contact.  Too punishing and too hard to anticipate.  Maybe if they were just on a patrol instead of following you?  Frankly just exploring, and fighting the time limit and my own greed of trying futily to stick more things on my tongue was challenging enough and quite compelling!

Wow, this is incredibly well put together and so polished for a Jam! The gameplay was interesting and having to keep an eye out for the knights whilst munching loot is quite the task! Very charming game, great job!
