We didn't advertise it well, but you can start shooting from any mouse / touch position, you don't need to drag anywhere near the ball.
Thank you for giving it a go!
Thank you for the feedback! It's probably not very clear, but the potions are scattered throughout the level and you have to bring them to Merlin so he can drink them. The big Mana pool is your reserve and the small one is your immediate useable Mana.
After all the feedback and play testing, the other developer and I do agree that the Mana availability is way out of balance! We have an updated build that is much more Mana generous, and we'll probably release that after the jam.
Thanks again!
I've actually thought about making something like this! (Though in the context of making a videogame for blind people) Really cool! I wish there were a little more instruction as to which sound constitutes 'beating' the level. For now I assume it's the music? It'd be really neat to see what else you could add to this!
I found this entry to be very funny. I enjoyed listening to the bullets internal monologue before firing as well! Poor Mona Lisa... she didn't deserve it. It reminds me of the 'Wanted' movie, where they curve the bullet XD
I'm not sure if it was intended, but I seemed to lose control when left clicking to go quickly. Also, the instruction text was cut off on the sides of the screen (I'm in a 16:10 resolution, so that might have been the issue). But I was able to figure out the controls anyway. The game itself is fairly simplistic, but the humor fills in the gap somewhat. I could see myself playing for a while if you were given more control of the bullet and more challenges to overcome (and obviously more levels!)
Well thought out and well polished! I liked how there was an interplay between maintaining situational awareness and safety. Although it seems like you can make yourself 'perfectly safe' if you play very slowly. I really like the design! If you work on it post-jam, I think it might be good to add more elements that might force you to hurry up at times, or force you to be less cautious. Very good entry!
Phew, I dunno how anyone thinks the game is too easy! Haha. After a couple dozen runs, I couldn't top 29 or so. It's a really interesting take on an endless runner that I haven't seen before. I think my biggest difficulty was avoiding the bullets. Maybe I'm just a 'scrub' but I found them a bit unfair. Obviously others would disagree! Still, it was a fun game and the aesthetics were very cohesive. Good stuff!
ScreenToGif is a really nice program for making gifs easily. Light weight and no installer required. It's a standalone exe. Definitely recommend it
Thou art breathtaking!
I hath made poor Merlin a mass murderer! Many hath died in service to finding dear leader!
Well I've killed hundreds of people...
"What's that? The leader has ears?" says Merlin. Suddenly a dozen ear'd folk are marked for death.
Never did quite get the knack of it, but a fun game, nonetheless :)
What a cute game! Really original too, I don't think I've ever played anything like it, lol. It's a really neat idea and there's only one drawback: it's really hard to tell when you're in danger. I wish I had a way of knowing how close the knights are! My high score was 2800. What's yours?
Also, is there a way to escape, or do you always eventually get caught?
I found a game that was oddly similar to mine. We both made games about helping Merlin find something -- which seems rather coincidental!
Their game is called "Guide Merlin into the Kingdom" and ours is called "Merlin's Mess"
We're not the most needy for rates, but we certainly would love more! Feedback is also highly prized ❤️

Merlin's mess. A game about helping Merlin hunt for that one special item in a sea of junk.
Really cool entry! The baseball analogies were pretty fun :) It took a minute to get a feel for, but felt pretty nice to use after I got it. Most of the enemies were fairly passive... HOWEVER, the ones that can shoot red things are quite a challenge. It took me a few minutes to figure out I needed a bounce shot to kill the first one. I got to the 4-corner shooter room a few times, but I couldn't quite pass it :( Maybe I'll give it another go when I'm fresher (sleep deprived atm, haha)
Good Stuff!
