So close to top 10, but hey 4th plave on gameplay and theme is not bad at all. Actually, all the scores aren't bad AT ALL, i definitevly didn't expect them to be this high tbh. I'm also pretty happy with the rating distribution too, first jam where 1 star is (almost) non-existent xD

Thanks to every one who partecipated to this game (and even the one who don't) and a special thank you who played and/or rated my game, and of course to @Icoso who hosted the jam!! I'm personally really happy how this jam turned out!! (^u^)

The fact that you need to ground pound instead of just pressing a button to switch sides is really satisfying.

One small nitpick, the first time I saw the white spikes I really though they were just black spikes with a line on top, but I got used to it pretty quick.

Neat game!

Developer

Ye, the Ground Pound to Switch it's really satisfying!! Also thank you for pointing that out, I'll have to look that up after the jam :D

Thanks for playing my game!! (^u^)

This is a pretty neat game, would love to see more of it!

Developer

Glad that you like it!! (^u^)

This is a great game. Its atmospheric and the sound design is great. I feel the game could do with some kaiyote time  because the platforming is a bit unresponsive but the mechanic is one of the best in the jam. Got a 1 and a half minute record! :D Hope this game wins.

Developer

There is already koyote time in the game (8 frames of buffer, to be exact) but thanks for pointing that out, they probably aren't enough (^u^)

I don't think i'll win the jam (i'll probably be lucky if i even reach the top 10, lol) but thanks for the support!! I'm glad that you like the game this much!! (^D^)

Also, Good job with the time!! :D

Submitted(+1)

The game is very polished, i got stuck on the second level but i figure it out later,

1. The movement is amazing 10/10

2. The Gameplay is very nice 10/10

3. The thing that i like alot is those run and jump, walking Animations they are satisfying but The room changing animation needs to get improve. Still 10/10 For animation.

A summery : I love the game yes it very good but one thing which very important according to me in these types of game is a (hint button). Sometime i get stuck on some of the basic level the level are not hard but there are some stupid people like me who get stuck on everything at every time and when you cant figure out what to do, a hint button helps a lot. But I love it, I also i have a question in which software you make pixel art?

Developer(+1)

I've tried to make the game as easy to understand as possible, but ye, i think adding an hint system would be a nice addition!! (^u^)

Ye the camera has some problems, i know that for a while now, but unfortunally i couln't easly fix it in the time i had left :/

I'm glad that you like the game and his animation!! Thank you for playing the game, and for the feedback!! =D

PS. I've used Krita to make pixel art :3

Ok what you have here is brilliant! Great effort. You have really nailed the theme. I managed the finish the game and was actually disappointed that there weren't more levels. The only things I would change is when you on the other side make up arrow ground pound instead of down, it makes more sense as everything else is inverted. I also don't think you need the walking animation, I think it would have worked better with a simple white cube with some squash and stretch on it to make it feel squishy. These are minor things though so well done!

Developer(+1)

I'm glad that you liked the game!! Thanks For Playing!!  Ye I'm sad too that the game is very short :C

It originally was like you suggested (inverted up/down controls for the upside down player), but it was really unintuitive and a lot harder to control, so i change it to the way that it is now!!

And about the walking animation... Maybe you're right, but i really like how it turned out the character, so i don't think I'll change it (^u^)

Still, Thanks for the feedback!! Really Appreciated!!(^D^)

Great take on the theme! I love the learning curve on the mechanic, it is very smooth! Great job!

Developer

Glad that you liked the game!! Thanks for playing!! (^u^)

Submitted(+1)

One downside, the player's smooth lerping to a position. It should be a little snappier. BUT THAT'S IT! This was a really good game with a nice theme interpretation and a well-executed game mechanic. Couldn't resist playing it all even though it wasn't that long. The level design was so great. The graphics were nice and simple, it was hella creative to come up with something like this. The music was ok, not the best, but does the job. Well done!

Developer(+1)

I had the opposite problem in my last game, so i may have exagerated a bit too much with the smoothing time this time... hehe :P

I'm glad you liked the game this much, from the concept to the level design and all!! Comments like this one always make me happy!! Thanks for the nice words!! (^u^)

Also, i know the music isn't the best. I'll try to improve my musical skills, and i'll try making better tracks in the future... :P

Submitted(+1)

Nice concept! Too bad you weren't able to make more levels for it. I thought everything looked really good and played well. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Yeah, too bad... :/

Thanks!! I'm glad that you liked it!! (^u^)

Submitted(+1)

Awersome concept and well executed. Very short but we only had one week after all. I would encourage you to make it into a full game with several levels :)

Developer

Thanks!! I'm glad that you liked the game!! About making it into a full game... I don't know, I'll think about it!! (^u^)

Submitted(+1)

This is an awesome concept and is executed well, good job!

Developer

Glad that you liked it!! (^D^)

cool  game

Thanks!! Glad you liked it!! (^u^)

This was a lot of fun to play (and speedrun). I thought the switching mechanic was executed really well. I also thought the length was perfect. One issue I had is that the controls didnt feel that responsive.  After a few attempts, I finally got the time: 32.84. Overall this is very well made and I definitely had a good time.

Developer

Hey, that's a good time!! Good Job!! (^D^)

And i'm glad that you liked the game!! I think i have an idea on why you feel that the player dosen't feel responsive, thanks for pointing that out!! I've added it to my notes!!

Submitted(+1)

Epic game, i liked the visuals & the gameplay is very polished, the camera in some situations is quite janky, & in other is just amazing, the music do the job tbh, overall, its a very polished game, short yeah, but good, Good Job

Developer(+1)

Ye, i knew about the jankyness of the camera for quite some time now, but unfortunally i couldn't fix it without making my custom camera controller, and i didn't feel like it was possible for me to do that in the 3/4 days that i had left :/

Glad that you liked it!! I hope that the camera wasn't too much of a problem...

Submitted(+1)

Understandable, i really liked the game :D

Submitted(+1)

I like the idea (Got a similar idea in my brainstorming session but choose another idea ;) ). Well executed. Short but log enough for a jam. Your level design is good to exploit the potential of the mechanic, even if we felt a little lost at the end.  Great game.

Developer

I'm glad to hear that the shortness of the game wasn't a problem for you, and i'm happy that you liked the idea!! Thanks for playing!! (^u^)

Submitted(+1)

I love the game mechanics! The only thing that upsets me is that the game is too short. Also, I couldn't find the fourth orb. I have a feeling that the fourth orb is in the end screen somewhere...

Developer(+1)

Yeah, sorry about that!! Level designing is a bit of a struggle for me...  I'm glad that you liked the game anyway!! (^u^)

Ye, it is!! Keep searching!! (HINT: - .... . -.. --- --- .-. ... .- .-. . - .... . .- -. ... .-- . .-.)

Submitted(+1)

i found it!

Submitted(+1)

Great game!

Developer

Thanks!! (^u^)

++this game is so upside down, really  good job. lots of different  mechanics. well implemented.

- maybe too many things going on, so the player is kind of lost with too many features ( subjective).

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, i'm glad that you liked it, but can you please elaborate a bit more on the "too many things going on" since i really don't get what you mean... 😅

Submitted(+1)

I feel a little bit overwhelm on changing sides by pressing jump then  arrows keys to change sides.  i share with you because i think you have a really good game .   something  with simplify keyboard press could bring another "wow".

Developer

I see... Thanks for sharing with me how you feel about the switching mechanic, i'll add to my notes!! (^u^)

Submitted(+1)

Really cool concept and game :) It was short but really nice and polished. I also have a really similar game lol check it out if you have time :) Great job!

Developer

Glad that you liked it, even if it was super short!! (^u^)

Sure!! I'll check your game tomorrow!! =D
