The game is fun and original, but the controls could be improved and there were some glitches here and there. The idea is good, and it has potential to be a more rounded game if you keep working on it :)

Good game with an interesting premise. Chapter 3 was a little too hard for me, and those wanderers frustrated me. The mechanics are quite original though, and I have had a good time with the game :) The visuals are pretty too.

Thank you for your feedback :) I wish I'd had time to add a cople more levels, because my game is indeed too short.

Interesting and cool game :) I felt that the ray could have been limited in lenght to avoid the "discotheque" effect when inside a circle, which for me breaks a little bit the relaxing mood.

It was Chrome and Windows, but I have tried again and it works now, weird.

It's true that the sound adds to the game and the music is great, although I feel that the sound balance could be improved. Specifically there are some sounds that are louder than they should imo, for instance the sounds when hitting an enemy or when the player is hit. I feel that the downloadable version sound is even more unbalanced, but that may just be not true and only my impression.

I had planned to add some trees and signs, I believe that would have been helpful to remember the good and bad paths. But I guess I didn't have time for that, though I might add them post-jam :)

The game is fun, though I agree with other comment that said that the cube gets stuck very often and that's frustrating.

Also, I would bet your game doesn't fit in Rule A, because the glare produces grey colors.

However, the game is pretty good for only 4 days of work :)

Nice game! I couldn't hear the sounds nor the music, but maybe is my browser's fault, I don't know. The game is fun, and due to its simple controls it could be easily adapted into a mobile game :)

Nice looking game! It took me a while to realise that each enemy had to be killed with one of the characters, an explanation would have been helpful :)

Thank you! Through my testing I didn't encounter those glitches, but just now I've been able to reproduce some strange behaviour.

Thank you for the kind words :) I made the "pick a path" mechanic with the intention of making the game a little longer by forcing the player to die a couple of times and memorize the map, but I understand that it can be a little bit frustrating too.

And yeah, I try to make all my 2D games using only SDL2 :)

I loved the visuals and atmosphere, but when reaching the small room with the light I didn't know what else to do. Is that it or I'm missing something?

I don't know if there's some issue with the framerate but I can't get past the point "be precise". I just can't seem to be able to jump that high. Movement and jumps feel slightly slow so maybe that's related to the problem.

Great work! I agree with the other comment that the platforming is too frustrating, but the visuals are great.

I feel that your game could fit in Rule A though. Maybe I'm wrong but I felt that only white and black pixels were displayed.

Amazing visuals and a huge scenario for only 2 weeks of work. Keep up the good job :)

Thank you for giving a try to my game and recording it :)

Thanks to your video I realised that the framespeed was broken, but it should be fixed now.

Haha I just like having control over everything what happens in my game. But it's easier than it sounds really, at least for simple 2D games :)

That's true, that might be a bit unfair haha.

Regarding the engine, I used SDL2 which is a library or a set of libraries, not an engine. So I guess we can say that the "engine" is made by me for this particular game with the help of SDL2.

That makes sense, my monitor is 144 Hz so I think that's why the jumps are way too short.

The first jump is way too difficult for me, I don't know if I'm doing something bad.

The visuals and concept are great though :)

Awersome concept and well executed. Very short but we only had one week after all. I would encourage you to make it into a full game with several levels :)

Thank you!

You are probably right. I saw that some random NES emulator had those bindings by default so I just used them, but there are probably much better options, I should have investigated further.

I guess you are french and hence the ZQSD controls. But with a QWERTY keyboard I can't play with these controls, it's just too confusing. Maybe next time you can prompt the used to choose his keyboard layout.

Thank you very much for your comment :)
