I feel like this game would be much more enjoyable if there was a preview of the platforms in the alternate dimension. The way it is now, it often just felt like I had to do blind jumps. Otherwise, pretty polished and fun.

Developer

Yup I completely agree, I just didn’t really have time to add that.

Submitted

Well I couldn't pass the first jump so I won't rate the game, but I like the look of it and the music !

Developer

yeah I needed up forgetting to multiply by delta time in the jump meaning that the jumps can be impossible for some players, my apologies

Submitted

Visuals are good but this is pretty difficult game. Got problems with landings on blocks. This however has very good potential. With little adjustments this would be an excellent game!

Developer

yeah I realised after I submitted that the game was way too hard 😅 you kinda of get used to things when you test games over and over. I would like to come back to everything and remake the game post jam.

Submitted

Like many other have mentioned, platforming around is really difficult (If i have to point out why, I'd say the player is too fast and that there is no accelleration time)

Also, i'd have really liked to see the ico mechanic used a little bit more :/

Other than that, it's a really cool game, it was a ton of fun, and i really like the neon ambientation of the game!! Good Job!! (^u^)

(SPOLER: End Parkour Skip)

Developer(+1)

yeah I really wish I had improved the movement. Thanks man :) also need to find a way to fix that skip haha. Hopefully I can fix a few of the major issues post jam

Good concept, with great visuals but 3D platformer ! It's already difficult when you see where you land, but there it was too difficult for me. I think your concept is really good, and you can achieve great puzzle without relying on jump. I like the music too. Good take of the theme. Great job.

FYI: check https://zenogamedev.itch.io/geojam it share the same core concept but in 2D

Developer

Thanks a ton! Yeah, I think I really need to decided whether I want this to be a puzzle or platforming game and not stay in between. Also Zeno's game was very cool

Submitted

This game is tough because you can't see where you're going, but interesting concept! Maybe transparent platforms would help?

Developer

Yup, I definitely will add something like that if I expand on this game in the future

The first jump is really hard! I loved the graphic and gameplay! good delivery on the theme!

Developer

my apologies, when creating the movement script I forgot to multiply by delta time meaning that some jumps are impossible depending on how powerful your computer is

Submitted

The first jump is way too difficult for me, I don't know if I'm doing something bad.

The visuals and concept are great though :)

Developer

Yeah I realised that I forgot to multiply the jumping by delta time. This can lead to the jumps being impossible for some people dependingon your computer, I apologise for this oversight.

Submitted

That makes sense, my monitor is 144 Hz so I think that's why the jumps are way too short.

Its amazing i always loved these types of games, camera movment is hmm

Developer

Thanks! Do you mind describing the issues you had with the camera movement?

Submitted(+1)

Very cool game, retro well done! I only wish the camera movement was a bit more sensitive.

Developer

Thanks! If you want to adjust the camera sensitivity you can do so in the menu you pressing ‘P’, as said in the description.

Submitted

Really? I’ll be sure to try that!

This was very good, graphics, sound, gameplay, it was all put together nicely. Extremely well done for a a game done in 24 hours, I could see this game expanded and released on steam easily, well done. Here are my notes:

- Don't know if it's just me, but I think the POV is a bit too much/the camera is a bit too zoomed in? Made me feel dizzy after I finished it.

- (Minor note) The shootable blocks are hard to differentiate from normal blocks which made it a bit hard to find which blocks I can break and which I can't (I can see that the breakable ones have a solid border but it wasn't easy to distinguish it during jumps).

- (Minor note) When you're hugging a wall, your ica weapon has strange rendering.

Overall a very very good game, I really enjoyed it and hope you can expand it, add a story, and upload it as a full game.

Developer

Thank you so much! Yup I didn't realise the issues with the camera until after i submitted and people pointed them out to me. If I expand the game I'll definitely change the base fov and add options to change it. I tried to distinguish the shootable blocks by making them right but I realised that I didn't make this clear enough and that it may be difficult for people with different types of colour blindness. Ahh alright I'll try to fix that for a later build. Thank you for all the feedback, it's all really helpful!

Its pretty amazing what you completed in just two days! This was a bunch of fun to play. The only thing that was bad is that it was very difficult mostly because I kept slipping off of the platforms. And a suggestion I have is being able to see the silhouette of the opposite colored platforms in their corresponding dimensions, and maybe a speedrun timer would be cool. Altogether, this is really good, and I also think the aesthetics are very cool.

Developer

Thanks my guy! Yeah the platformer controls are really not good haha, I didn't really pick it up when testing since I got used to it though. Ye that's something I think would be cool too, thinking about expanding the game after the jam into something far more polished. I'll add a speedrun timer too if I do so. Thanks for the feedback!

Great game, super neat platforming - love the tf2 throwback

Liked the game and enjoyed playing it :)

Mouse sensitivity realy made the game harder to finish !

Developer (1 edit)

I keep getting people saying this haha. You can change the mouse sensitivity by pressing 'P' and going into the menu, I did put this as the first thing in the games description :p

good graphics and changing sides, worlds are really cool. Only problem i couldn't jump and get to the  second  cube in the first level.

Developer

yeah the controls were way too difficult, didn’t realise until after I submitted though. My bad

Submitted (1 edit)

The games amazing especially like how you incorporated the theme. Couldn't take my eyes of the screen once I started. It would be epic by the way if you played and rated my game. Thanks

Very impressive visuals, sound effects and music. This game has huge potential! If you'd just please tweak the jumping to make it a tiny bit more forgiving... I couldn't stop playing it!

Developer

Thank you so much! haha yeah sorry, that was definitely an issue with my submission. Near the beginning I starting implementing coyote time but then sort of forgot about it, im so annoyed with myself as i think it would make the game so much better.
