Really lovely game! I included it in my compilation video series of all of the GBJam 5 games, if you'd like to take a look :)

Good mechanic that compliments the level design, even backtracking doesn't feel like backtracking. Using your gun to speedrun while in low-gravity is so satisfying. And for a 10 day made game, it got lots of content. Had lots of fun playing. Art is also neat, reminded me of Xeodrifter. Excellent job!

I really loved the switch from the nogravity mood to the now everything is turned. It felt weird in the second level that now the robots are turned on but not the gravity. Also, those patrolling sentinels are a pain in the ass.

The music feels more modern chiptunes/NES than Game Boy, but a very solid entry nonetheless.

I'm super into this "Completing part of your objective changes the game mechanics" thing. The way that, like activating the gravity makes going through the same spaces harder, It's like a Metroidvania in reverse. So cool.

Also, nothing says "Retro Game" like flying enemies appearing randomly from the side of the screen.

Excellent entry! Very solid. Probably my favorite at the moment, even more than my own!

Awesome game!

Can I ask if you can send me the sprite walking cycle?

Me & my friend thought it looked really simple & good and is just what we need! (We wont be using the sprite we will only be looking at your walking cycle and then try and do something similar)

Thanks!

Pretty neat idea and implementation.

Felt very suprising and smart when I suddenly had to go through the same section with gravity, fun concept :D

Very cool game! Was a bit tough to tell which blocks were impassable at first, but that screams GameBoy! Very solid game, nice graphics, great entry!

nice one, good fun. I like how your level design fits really well with the 2 parts of each level (with normal gravity and with low gravity). Goodjob.

Wow, this one is excellent! Really nice game!

A really good game, the gameplay is just awesome.

Awesome entry! I couldn't give full marks on "gameboy feel" because it doesn't quite meet the resolution requirements (the player seems to be able to move in 1-pixel increments even though the game's been scaled up) but other than this is one of the best I've played so far and a definite favourite.

Very impressed, great entry. Love the jump and jetpack gameplay mix. The recoil force it to high for my opinion.

Sheesh, this is incredibly solid and there's SO MUCH content for a jam game. I'd buy this as a full title, no joke. Really nice work.

You did a very good job with this game. Almost everything worked. I'd suggest a full release, people would play a longer version of this with a bit more story like crazy. I didn't even know how I spent 44 minutes 43 seconds beating it :)

metroid + megaman = <3

Good fun - love the soundtrack. Background art is delightful, as are the sprites :) Really nailed the Gameboy feel!

It's a nice little game but it has a bug where you can get stuck on walls and can't do anything but restart.

I really enjoyed this. That intro was really exciting and the tone shift between the power being off and the power being on works really well.
