I'm trying to track down and see if this is a Rev A/B issue, so do you happen to know which Rev your Playdate is? Thank you. I'm hoping to work on it this weekend and get some fixes in.

Thank you for the feedback! Dodging the bad spirits by moving left or right then crank past them and jumping back over to that section was the intended means of avoiding, though they do tend to randomly appear in quick succession. The game definitely needs a few rounds of balancing and maybe a little more tutorial since it is a bit abstract.
I'm surprised to see so many crashes/inability to play on the system. I'm just learning about the Rev A/Rev B potential issues. Would you mind telling me if you have a Rev A or B? I downloaded the Rev Checked from rae.wtf but it just crashes when I open it... Will have to check in my SDK when I get a chance.
My apologies I'm just now seeing the comments here!
I ran into that issue with the sound once but just ran out of time to debug it. The whole bad spirit gameplay idea can't just hours before deadline.
The game was inspired by some of my own grief. Thank you for playing. I hope to carve out some time this weekend to address a number of issues and balance gameplay more.
Thank you so much for checking it out! It's less "forgot" good gameplay, and more rushing to get something playable submitted. When I signed up for the jam I figured I'd have time to work on it each night - but that was before I got cast in a play so it was a fight against time to get something done as most nights were now spent in rehersal. Aaron at greatgigguitar.com had recorded some great music already so I thought it would be a shame not to get something playable up so that it could be heard.
Thanks for checking it out! Agree, the controls take a little playing with to get used to for the more precise jumps but I found it gave the game a bit of a different feel so left it in. I'm glad you stuck with it long enough to enjoy it!
BTW - While time got the better of me before I could add in a Game Over/Restart screen or Checkpoints, I did leave in a cheat on the Title Screen where you can press "2" to go to Level 2 and "3" to go to Level 3.
