A hilarious take on the movie! Graphics and gameplay are on par and it was pretty fun to play. Well done!

Developer

Thanks :D

As soon as Hans started falling off the building and the game kicked in, I laughed my ass off.
Great work on this one. The only thing I can suggest is making the fires more distinct, as they were a bit hard to see on the way down.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it :) I will see what I can do about the fires as I agree with you that they don't stand out as much as they could do.

Hey, I got hit by a limo.. Oh wait, I was dead already. But I died rich and with a style!
Overall it is a nice take on the scene. Simple and elegant.

One note though. Don't know is it possible on Pico-8 or not..  sometimes it is hard to see goodies as skyscraper background sorta lacks in contrast department.
Oh and another one - how about a 'bounce' mechanic, some windows can have a net or a clothesline - this way fall can become more comedic, unpredictable and replayable.

Developer

I know what you mean about the background. Pico-8 is limited to 16 colours so it can be quite a challenge sometimes but I have seen some impressive stuff done with the palette, just need to figure it out.

I like the bounce idea. Could definitely add an extra layer of challenge and more scoring opportunities.

Thanks for playing and for the feedback :)

1250 is my best score. That was so fun! Love that kind of black and sillly humor. It's quite polished too, with menu, music, and... an ending! Coming a bit too early, as it always seems when you're falling a skycrapper. Loved too how all elements nod to the movie: falling money and notes, burning windows, the limo below (poor Argyle!). The inclusion of PG-13 had a meaningful impact too, just like so many movies ;) !

Developer

Glad you liked all the little nods to the film. Thats a pretty good score too. Thanks for your comments :)

Loved it! Got me laughing through everything, from premise to execution and composition :D

Real gem here :D

Developer(+1)

Thanks :D I tried to add a little humour so glad you found it funny. The PG-13 option was a dig at the latest Die Hard movie ;)

Not at all what I expected from reading the title, but it is awesome. Do wish ya coulda had some more room to make the text slightly more readable. but that's nitpicking. Really good.

Developer

Thanks, glad you had fun playing it :)

What can I say? the music is awesome. It has cut scenes, wonderful art and great sound effects. The score adds to the replay value. This is an excellent submission. Great work!

Developer

Thank you for your kind comments, glad you enjoy playing it. Its really cool that you mention putting it on your office arcade machine. You'd need to set up a leader board and chase each others hi scores ;)

That intro is really great. So festive! Overall a great concept well executed.

Developer

Thank you :) I spent longer than I probably should have done on the intro but it all helps set the scene I think. Glad you enjoyed it

I love the chip tunes rendition of Ode to Joy.  I also love how tightly focused it is; you managed to get something not just playable but actually pretty fun out of just a few seconds of the movie.

Developer(+1)

The music was my first proper attempt at chip tune and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. Glad you liked it too. Hopefully, there's enough replayability in the game to keep you coming back for a higher score ;)

Congrats on the entry! I really like it, it shows a lot of polish

Developer

Thanks :D

This was so much fun! :D
A well-balanced and re-playable game (best I got was 1530).
The "pixel art" animated intro works really well - he really looks like Hans Gruber!
Great "thumping" take on the classical music.
Congrats!
(P.S. Now I have left a comment.... Ho! Ho! Ho!)

Thanks :D Pretty good score, may be a tough one to beat. Glad you had fun playing
