What cards you get from opening packs depends on how lucky you are, and you start totally unlucky.

YOU WIN! 40

I was pleasantly surprised that the boss turned out to be the final goal. When the sacrifice mechanic was revealed, I thought I was going to have to exile—er, sacrifice the entire enemy deck!

What an exceptionally charming little game! The art is adorable, and the mechanics are simple and addictive without being overbearing. Both decks being bespoke opposing creatures was a nice touch I wasn't expecting!

While there could be potential nitpicks on the simplicity of the difficulty curve later on, I think erring on the side of easy was probably the right choice for this concept. It was definitely fun being able to pull potentially endless dragons for 5 cents a pop!

Fantastic! Great work!

Man I was playing this entry for like 20 minutes straight I love how later in the game you introduce the sacrifice mechanic. I love the artwork on all the cards and your choice with the color palette. Very addictive game you got here great work.

Very engaging system! The card unpack anim could be a bit faster, since we play that one a lot.
An excellent entry, congrats!

the pixel art in this is amazing! I do wish there was a speed up function in regards to getting more cards and stuff.

Plays really well, such as it is. The sacrifice mechanic really helps speed things along towards the end.

Sometimes the deck view isn't quite where the thing happens.

A nice game. At first, I thought I wouldn’t like the automatic battles, but thanks to the different options you have, I ended up playing it for quite a while. I also find the pixel art very beautiful.

it’s a slow slow burn, but finally getting to the point where you can hone your deck into a weapon of destruction is incredible. I wish I got more luck for failed attacks, but waiting is a part of the game I suppose.

Scratched the part of my brain that likes seeing numbers go up :)

Too bad there is no audio, I feel that a few SFX would have gone a long way.

Still, overall it is a good entry, great job!

It took a while but I won. Good job.

Loved it, not sure if it has audio or not, I couldn't hear anything (tested in two different browsers, but will try restarting computer just in case). The only thing strange for me was having no introduction, I opened the game and there was already something happening and didn't know if I did something wrong or what, then  I read the outside game instructions and then understood what was happening. I managed to win btw, really liked how you played with luck and also with money beating  bad luck xD.

No audio unfortunately! Both that and a nice starting screen are on the post-jam improvements list. :)

One of my favorite games of the jam! Just so brilliant in its simplicity. The batteries in my gameboy would have died out daily if this game was out back then!

I Loved this game. Very polished, and I liked also the auto-play mechanic. The art is lovely. Great job!

Nice game to have in the background while ranking other submissions (this is a complement, I swear). Mechanics felt intuitive and art was nice. I think maybe adding more player choice would be good, though admittedly I can't think of any specific simple modifications that could be done off the top of my head.

I spent to much time on this, great job!

Love how simple this was.  It had a little bit of depth without too much complexity. very nice!

Well done!
Interesting idea and the mechanics are simple.

I would also look at other idle games. With idle games it is important to give the player a lot of upgrades in the beginning to get the dopamine cycle going and keep the player invested.

This was fun in an idle game sort of way. The dopamine is real.
