Cool art and music, I only wish the game were a bit longer!

Scratched the part of my brain that likes seeing numbers go up :)

Too bad there is no audio, I feel that a few SFX would have gone a long way.

Still, overall it is a good entry, great job!

That was a fun game!

I ended up out of ammo against the mindflayer at the very end, so spending a few turns praying against him was weirdly a pretty funny situation.

My only nitpick would be that I would have liked to see the currently-faced direction on the map, but that was just a QoL issue, so not too problematic.

Good job overall :)

That was a fun little game, clean gameplay, nice art and music … well done :)

Absolutely love the graphics, the music and the overall mood of the game.

The gameplay was nice, though I would have liked some kind of mini-game while fishing, to keep things fresh.

Still, this was a very enjoyable game, well done!

That was a very very fun game, well done!

Very clever interpretation of the theme. It was a fun game. Well done!

That was a fun game, just the right length for a jam game. Nice graphics and music, very GameBoy-reminiscent. Good job :)

(1 edit)

Very nice entry! Ironically, I think I got really lucky on my first run because I found all four items really quickly haha

Something that might ensure the game has longer duration would be to make it so you can only ever get one item per night, maybe?

Either way, the game looks pristine and very very GameBoy-like, so that is a win in my book :)

I love the vibe of this game, I would be so happy to see a completed version of it. The art is cute, the music is nice, and the concept feels fresh. I had actually been thinking of making an rpg with platformer combat a couple of weeks before this jam, so this was a nice surprise haha

Wow that is high praise, thanks a lot :)

Hey, thanks! You’re right about the bosses, but if you can believe it I have actually been tuning down the difficulty of unlucky rooms almost right up until the deadline haha Even now they can feel unfair sadly…

Nice little die-and-retry game, I like that even getting unlucky is “good” because it sometimes allow you to bypass tough platforming challenges by remembering how/when misfortune will strike. Great entry!

It’s always nice to see a turn-based rpg, very GameBoy-coded! The timer when you fail a luck test felt just a little bit too short most of the time, but other than that I quite liked the battle system. Good art and music, too. Great job!

This is such a good game! It feels incredibly complete, excellent work.

This was fun! I like the different patterns for each boss. The jump has a nice feeling of weight to it, which I know is hard to do in a 2D topdown view. Good job overall :)

Nice to see other vampire survivors-inspired games :) I like that you can pick you poison when selecting upgrades, balancing risk vs reward. Good job!

The art is very nice! I do wish the game would scroll a bit faster though. Still, nicely done :)

The graphics and music are on point!

The “Did that guy just jump?” in the beginning got a genuine chuckle out of me! Love the art, love the story, great game overall :)

The platforming was a bit difficult, but the fact that you’re not forced to do the room in reverse after activating the computer was a nice QoL. Good job!

Nice visuals and soundtrack! Sadly I had a bug (haha) in the second fight after beating the first of the two insects, it never switched to my turn :( I do love me some turn-based rpgs though, so points for that :)

Well that was absolutely unhinged, in a funny way! Thanks for teaching me the word “monotreme”.

Nice little game! There were a few times where I got jumped by enemies as soon as I entered the room, but other than that it was enjoyable. I especially liked the picking-up-coins sound.

This was a fun game, it felt quite polished as well!

That was a nice use of the theme, it does work quite well with golf :) The game itself was enjoyable and well put together. Good job!

Nice bullet hell, I got wrecked by the last phase!

I liked it so much that I was actually sad when it ended haha Quite a fun game, with all of the “yak-shaving”. Very well done!

Pretty much a perfect entry! I really loved it from start to finish, very well done :)

That was a fun little game :) The sprites were readable, the enemies only being knocked-out made backtracking not boring. I did not have audio on Firefox, but it worked fine on Chrome, so that’s okay. Good job overall!

Hey, thanks for the kind words :)

I really should have made a tutorial to explain all of this, but there are actually timed attacks as well! Hitting them successfully allows you to apply effects such as poison and stun.

Okay this was super fun. I got all three endings! I like how the games get more frantic as the days pass. Honestly this is a great entry. My only nitpick would be that the music gets a bit repetitive after playing through the games three times, but that’s all. Great job!

This was really fun!

The mechanics were simple but engaging, and there is a surprising amount of content. Very nice job :)

That was nice, I’m surprised that lighting can work this well at such a low resolution, well done! As for the gameplay, I liked it. The stamina indicator is intuitive enough, though I did sometimes stand around waiting for it to fill back up. Overall though, this is a good entry :)

It was a bit confusing at first, but I could see this being expanded in a bigger game.
A nitpick would be that it feels like bringing your pet to maximum happiness would take a lot of time. Maybe the coins should drop more often, or the food and water should be cheaper.
Also I wish I could fight the enemies in the dungeons with my pets, but maybe that’s me being too pokemon-minded :D

Even so, this is a nice submission!

I love tactical combat games so this was a nice surprise :) The visuals are great, and the gameplay is intuitive! The last level is a bit too tough for me, but overall it was fun to play, great job!

Ok, I finally got it… Thanks for the many hints!

One of the best submissions I played yet.

I did struggle a lot for the code puzzle at the start, but that’s because I’m a dummy. The graphics, audio and gameplay were all great!

Very well done :)

The visuals are very nice, but the jumping feels a little bit stiff. Still, I enjoyed playing this, well done :)
