Very simple but really entertaining haha.

Also, gran uso del "El Sonidito" jajaja No sé si vas a entender esto pero por tu culpa tendré esa canción trabada en mi cabeza por semanas jajaja

In short, great game, very funny, I died and laugh a lot xD 10/10

Developer(+1)

hahaha it's has been stuck in my head for days 😂😂, i love that you enjoyed the game and had a lauph, i love your feedback thank you soooo much ❤️❤️

Submitted(+1)

I loved it. My kids were watching and screamed every time I got caught. I was wishing for a jump mechanic, but still enjoyed it thoroughly. Also, I love El Sonidito, so 5 stars for music from me.

Developer(+1)

Im really super glad you enjoyed the game with your kids 😊💕, That song is my fav that's why i put it in the game 😁, if i continue working on it i will 100% put a jumping mechanics and other fun ones! Thank you so much for playing my game! ❤️

Game looks and plays great! Could see it being expanded to ridiculous lengths. Really fun little sneak-em-up that fits the jam theme perfectly. Great job!

That was fun! I got to the end - one thing I noticed was that the cheese count doesn't appear to get reset when you get caught. So I had a count of 0 well before the mega cheese :)

The dog's a beast, I wasn't sure where he was when I tried to sneak past him as you can't see behind you, but managed it in the end.

Edit: oh no, I'm an idiot you can 'mouse' look :)

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Submitted(+1)

I enjoyed it! You got a good rating from me, and I don't mind bugs that help me like the cheese count :D

Developer(+1)

The visuals and the overall vibe of this game is quite amazing!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!! <3

When I’m killed, I restart between the walls:image.png

I think the cheese countdown doesn’t reset after I was kicked out to a checkpoint due to death.

What a cute game! I want a Steam release yesterday. image.png

I got the big cheese, I guess it’s the ending? UI was expecting to have doors open for me to run out of the train to the next round or something.

But yea, cool game, very simple and still very entertaining. animal pov is a lot of fun.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

im glad you enjoyed the game regardless of the bugs you encountered and i apologize for that, im gonna try my best to fix them on my next patch today i hope, Thank you so much for your feedback man it helps alot fr <3

Submitted(+1)

No worries, I also have collision issues in my projects (pretty much the same issue), still figuring it out myself.

The collision was only noticeable between cabins, I don’t think I encountered it when i was going close to the wall under chairs.

Welcome, I’m not a man tho. It is always peculiar to me how default gender assumption for people online is male (surprisingly regardless of a field).

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

I sincerely apologize for misgendering you. In my day-to-day conversations, I usually speak with males, so I made an assumption — that’s my mistake, As for your game, do you have an idea of when you’ll be able to implement the full version? I’m genuinely excited to try out a demo once it’s ready, Regarding my own game, I’m currently uploading version 3.0, and I’ve fixed all the issues you pointed out 😄 So thank you so much for your help!

Submitted(+1)

Haha no worries, it’s just that “Hey man/brother” clearly reads as gendered, compared to dude, or even bro (those often used in neutral way as a slang). It isn’t a big deal, I just feel I gotta clarify if the topic arises, or I feel like I’m lying or something lol

I made a note on the updates: here Overall, for 3d version I’m waiting for UE5.6 to drop first. Before it drops I’m working with the visual novel version. Plot only should be ready by July because of another jam it fits for; and a very basic visual novel demo(already with my own art, not the way it looks now) ideally in September. It highly depends on how much plot will develop this month. Sometimes when writing, characters end up directing me not where I planned to go story wise.

But in all truth, I may get sidetracked by other projects and jams more than I expect. In any case, this game is in my to-do list, as one of the projects I want to build soon for Steam release.

Thank you for your interest. I’ll keep tabs on your project as well.

Developer(+1)

I'm looking forward to seeing how it goes for you, good luck with your side projects and your overall journey! great potential and I'll definitely be following along! 😁

Thank you, I’ll be keeping an eye on your work as well!

How is this dog smelling me with all these lemons around?!

Also, why do lemons drain my stamina like that? Many mysteries abound on this subway train.

The difficulty definitely ramps up from car to car. So there's a good sense of progression, but I'd say the dog is a little too fast. Even when he's all the way at the far end, he closes the distance very quickly.

I was able to get to the end with 0 Cheese remaining to hear the music, but if there was a win screen it didn't trigger. Also I noticed that respawning didn't always track the correct amount of cheese collected, I'd respawn on the final car with 1 remaining even though there were still 3 to get. And sometimes several cheese pieces would appear in the same spot.

Developer(+1)

well for the dog is because he can smell and can track you faster than a human, rats are allergic to lemons as i read, so it's for the rats not the dog, as for the bugs you encountred i thought i fixed them and yes there is a win screen at the end, i apologize for the poor experince and the bugs you encountered i'll try my best to sort them out.

Submitted(+1)

Don't take my criticism as an indication that I had a poor experience. :)

I'm offering what I hope is constructive feedback, but over all it was good fun!

And I see! I had no idea that rats are allergic to lemons, I learned something new today.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for your feedback.

Full gameplay of my game

Submitted(+1)

lol i recognize all the assets… I’ll play it tomorrow in solidarity as a fellow UE5 dev. Also, animal POV games are always a win, cute idea, rats need more representation.

Developer (2 edits)

well, my art skills is not very good as you see xD , Thank you i'll be trying yours rn :D

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

It’s not a big deal to use free assets, it was just funny to me how I recognized each of them because I have all the UE freebies since the first month they started the giveaways.

The only truly obvious asset is the human character(I used it myself for this jam, but my UE version is broken,so I only have text version for now). Animals and the train are pretty “neutral” to be used in many games.

Developer

yeah i saw some of the pictures in your game, they were too good and well made, only missing part was sounds and music otherwise the story was really good and im gonna try out the second ending tonight i hope

Submitted(+1)

It’s just a prototype anyways. I am going to finish this into a full “visual novel” as a prototype version with sounds and more pictures etc, still figuring out what Twine engine can do beyond text. & I’m still writing the script, 2-3 more chapters to go and even more branching/endings.

The game is going to be survival horror in 3D, like resident evil franchise, with emphasis on classic survival like Silent Hill (compared to shooter element in My beloved RE4..)

I don’t know much about 3d, but I plan to do basic characters (or edit Metahumans) because they have some unique features and cannot be random assets.

Good luck on your UE learnings journey as well!

Developer(+1)

i think i'll be following along with your journy and always checking out your game, Good luck with your journy brother!

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

Haha thanks! I’m not a brother tho💃🏻 Also you’ll probably get the notifications about updates, so no need to check it manually.

Developer

reality is, i don't get any notifications i am not sure why, again im sorry for assuming twice now.

Submitted (1 edit)

maybe your account notifications are off or just itch.io having issues. It looks like the notifications page has a limit, so maybe you got too many replies

Wow, fabulous work here, it looks amazing, it's fun, really good job here!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for your feedback! <3

Submitted(+1)

Of course it's an Unreal Engine game - it looks fantastic! I loved the environment So automatically top marks on the aesthetics, its the best looking game I've played so far this jam. The perspective you've created from the vantage point of the rat is so good and feels very realistic/professional. The rocking of the train felt like it might be slightly too much and could be reduced slightly. The cats totally caught me by surprise the first time I bumped into them. Overall this is great with lots of potential if you want to build it out into a full game. Great work!

Developer

Thank you so much for your honest feedback, i am super glad you liked the game and i'll try to improve it if i work on it in the future, Thank you alot!

Submitted(+1)

A nice game! As someone has already mentioned it was a huge folder to download so that took a long time for me (I have limited internet). The gameplay was good and the mechanics were smooth! Good job

Developer

im trying to work on the size problem but yet no progress, thanks for your feedback tho, glad you enjoyed the game!

Submitted(+1)

Well done for making a fun game. Why do lemons drain stamina though? That made me laugh, it's so random :)

Developer(+1)

it's because rats have allergy to lemons as i read online xD , i might improve that if i continue working on the game in the future, thanks for your feedback <3

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

The graphics look good and I enjoyed the gameplay. Great game.

Submitted(+2)

Was fun to play! Graphics were nice, chase mechanics were great and I really enjoyed the controls for the mouse to sneak around!
