It’s not a big deal to use free assets, it was just funny to me how I recognized each of them because I have all the UE freebies since the first month they started the giveaways.

The only truly obvious asset is the human character(I used it myself for this jam, but my UE version is broken,so I only have text version for now). Animals and the train are pretty “neutral” to be used in many games.

yeah i saw some of the pictures in your game, they were too good and well made, only missing part was sounds and music otherwise the story was really good and im gonna try out the second ending tonight i hope

It’s just a prototype anyways. I am going to finish this into a full “visual novel” as a prototype version with sounds and more pictures etc, still figuring out what Twine engine can do beyond text. & I’m still writing the script, 2-3 more chapters to go and even more branching/endings.

The game is going to be survival horror in 3D, like resident evil franchise, with emphasis on classic survival like Silent Hill (compared to shooter element in My beloved RE4..)

I don’t know much about 3d, but I plan to do basic characters (or edit Metahumans) because they have some unique features and cannot be random assets.

Good luck on your UE learnings journey as well!

Haha thanks! I’m not a brother tho💃🏻 Also you’ll probably get the notifications about updates, so no need to check it manually.

maybe your account notifications are off or just itch.io having issues. It looks like the notifications page has a limit, so maybe you got too many replies
