Interesting project! I had some trouble with the combat system—there were so many enemies, and I didn’t really feel like I could take down even one of them :D
One thing that would help a lot is adding some control instructions directly on the itch page. I found some hints in the comments, but having it written out clearly would make things easier.
The moving textures are definitely unique—though maybe not for everyone, they can be a bit dizzying.
That said, it’s a cool project overall. The controls work as they should, and it looks like there are quite a few enemies—I think I saw at least six. Keep at it and polish it a bit more, and this could turn into something really great!
at first i thought it was kinda like the game were you play in school and kill students, but it was a bit different and the combat style was really cool, it felt challenging sometimes but it was fine, the moving textures made me dizzy 😂 but it was really cool touch that was a great experince, Great Job!
The idea of navigating a labyrinth with moving textures adds a unique, almost surreal feel. The minimap was a helpful touch. Combat felt a bit tricky at times. maybe some tweaks to the attack direction or animations could help. Overall, a solid foundation with room to expand.
Cool combo attack, but it was hard to tell which way I was looking when I started to attack, so sometimes I started attacking one direction and couldn't adjust. But it felt like it could be super cool! I couldn't make it very far. the jump wasn't high enough to jump over the spinning obstacles at the beginning and they seemed to catch me and not let me go, so I fell a few times trying to navigate through those. Great job submitting this game for the jam!
An original game, the moving textures add an interesting 'cursed' effect to the experience.
If you want a tip from another Unity dev for your health bar: you can remove the handle part of the slider (it's a child of the GameObject). Or, if you want to keep a border around the bar, you can adjust the X scale of the handle to make it thinner.
Overall, it's a good submission, well done!
Interesting game, although the wall textures made me a bit dizzy. The minimap was pretty cool! Good work! :)
Nice work! The walls made me feel a bit weird while running through those corridors, very trippy! Great job!
I feel like there's a start of something here that can potentially be great, a few mechanics and more windy corridors rather than simple long ones would make this game leagues better. On another note, the moving floor/wall textures is quite trippy
I like the idea and since the walls are kinda huge it fits into the theme kind of. I would probably even try to expand on that feeling.
As for gameplay this game doesnt offer too much. Especially those long corridors where you just hold w dont make fun. In such a game i would increase the base movement speed to the sprint speed at least or make autosprint and sprint button makes you walk. And i would give the player something fun to do while moving. Like a good salto jump/dash or so. And more traps. Oh and i clicked on it since the beautiful thumbnail :)
Thank you XRayHunter, your ideas are great, I will try to apply them in my project, yes, I'm agree with you, the game needs more story, traps and tricks, I design my game so simple because I don't have too much time, I have a job which takes me 9 hrs 6 days, I have only one day to create all, but, I really appreciate your advices, because they allways mekase me grow, thank you.
