Very cute game, love the art style 5/5
Thanks!
Love that you and your daughter were able to do this together! It was cute and fun! Loved it!
Thanks! Yes, it was a lot of fun!
So happy I played this! It was challenging and fun, and super cute! The whole package was very well put together. A super wholesome game!
Thank you very much for this kind review!
Fantastic!!! Great theme and aesthetics! I was really pleased with the surprise in the change of gameplay at the very end.
Ahah glad to hear! Thanks so much!
Oh dude... I always felt synergy with you in discord. And now that I tested this... you've got a beautiful family supporting your journey. I wish I had this idea of going solo, and use my daughter's talent to put her work into it. Definitely a good memory to post this and look at many years later.
Children grow so quick... My memory is not capable of remembering it all.
Anyways, about the game feedback - prepare yourself!
Simple. And yet HARD haha i dropped so many times to hear " owh"... Even dying is cute.
The music fit perfectly into the drawings of the game. And when the game ended, the zoom out.. was it a dream? Haha such a cool feeling. The unicorn battle was epic. And I assume the evil sorcerer is daddy upset and thats how she sees you. Would be funny.
To make game better? Add better effect when player is hit. It slightly turns yellow... Yellow? Hmm well, not sure if yours or hers idea... Adding more player sprite visuals. When jumping, or hit. Would add a nice feeling to the game.
Enjoyed playing it. Made me energized to be a better dad from now on :P

Thanks! Very kind from you :D
Love that you and your daughter did this together. Very cute game!
Thanks a lot!
This was cute and a treat to play. I love the artwork, the vibe, great mechanics and design with the difficulty ramping up. I had a huge laugh (good one) when the unicorn appeared on the screen and shot out rainbows. You both should be very proud of this. Loved it.
Thank you for the kind review!
Such a cute little game and very wholesome! Awesome job this year
Thanks!
This is the definition of wholesome.
Thanks so much!
I love this idea! Super cool and well executed - good challenge incorporating several ideas together! I appreciate the forgiveness with falling off and having respawn points, but I did have a little trouble with a few platforms ending with where you could stand before they visually ended, so I fell a couple more times than I would like to admit. Super cool and echoing the same as a few others - I did not realize I was supposed to go to the top left first before fighting the evil sorcerer- I was able to jump over that barrier.
Great work on this game!
Thanks for the feedback! Glad you appreciated the game. I'll definetely check out the problems you pointed out. Rushing a game is always hard XD
I'm flat out telling you that I gave you 5 stars for everything.
I went off looking for the next Frank episode and found this gem.
What an amazing legacy for your daughter in the future.
Thats what Indie gaming is about.
You had better win the jam, you have as far as I'm concerned.
Thaaaanks so much! I'm glad you appreaciate the game :) And yes, I wanted to make Frank 3, but honestly the theme didn't give me many ideas, so I went with this. Next year maybe I'll make a new Frank episode though! Keep in touch :D
I'm happy you went with this, imagine how nice it will be to look back on it in 20 years.
A wonderful adventure!
The aesthetics are fantastic, the sound is endearing. The music is nice as well.
Everything plays well mechanically, but there is a mild disconnect between what can and can't be walked on. For example, the colliders for the long platforms end where the drawing of the platform ends rather than the paper/border, which isn't intuitive.
I was also able to start the boss fight without retrieving the lemon first, I had to do a second play through to find out what was on the upper left path.
Thanks for the kind review! I'll check the collider, not sure what happened to the colliders, probably I messed up something by mistake XD I also have to fix the problem with the worm, you made me realize you can actually jump on top of it, even though I couldn't while testing :D I'm baaaaad XDXD
I wouldn't say the colliders are messed up, exactly. :) Just that it's not inherently obvious that objects aren't defined by the white space around them. For example here:
The collider extends to about the red line, which is totally fine, but I was expecting it to extend further.
Or with the lady bugs:
The raised white area gives the impression that the player might be landing on an uneven surface, but it's actually a flat platform.
Again, not at all a big deal but something I noticed and wanted to mention.
Yeah makes sense, thanks!
The art-style and sound effects are really wholesome. The final boss was epic. I hope your kid enjoyed it just as much me.
Thanks! Yes, she had a lot of fun!
Yuppieee yay! Just beaten it. Charming game and was playing with a controller which worked well except in the final boss where the up and down on the horse was inverted on the d-pad but worked correctly on the joystick. Great game and well done to you both!
Great, thanks for the notice! I haven't tested it, my bad XD
"Made me want to have a daughter to build games with. 10/10"
No, for real, this is very cute, I love it. Congrats!
Cool! You should indeed XD
Cool idea for graphics in the game. I like the game and appreciate the collaborative work. Creating their next title will involve their kids - it must be a fun and interesting experience. Big plus for a sensible checkpoints system.
Thanks so much! Yes it was very fun!
It's a nice game possibly a bit hard for someone who isn't used to play a genre. music and graphic are match each other and really deliver a scene. Nice entry.
Thank you!
