Won on my first try then lost all the other times lol. I really like everything about this game.
This is really funny and creative. The story is great, the art is really cool. The dog transformation was very unexpected! Every time I picked a stan, they'd die immediately! I would have liked to see what happens when you win! Well done on your unique submission.
I.... I just.... what?
I kinda want to know what all the "on-screen elements" are. I clicked on one that gave me a heart purely on accident, it happened so fast that I didn't see what I clicked on. Very cute.
I really like how much polish has been put into the game. At first, I thought it was a really fancy-looking guessing game. I thought the only way to win was luck and all you had to do was press next. Then I saw your hints on the page. It took me a while to understand what you meant. But after that, the game became fun. I replayed it a bunch of times, but in the end I still couldn't win. It's nice how there is strategy in a game like this. Also, the game looks great. One thing I would like is a full-screen that covers the taskbar (because for me for some reason it didn't) or at least a settings menu for configuration. Anyway, it was a great game!
:D
Took a bit of clicking to figure out the additional mechanics. Great story and theme implementation. Was fun!
Ok. Got a little more fun that it was more than just a guessing game. It's s cute scene with nice little details put in there. And the random soup - nice touch.
So I really enjoyed this (my good boy Stan was able to survive), but what I like most were all the random details. Like how the buildings are at weird angles and bobbing up and down? 10/10 I definitely need to incorporate more details like that into my future games, great job!
Great job on the game, loved the weird goody aspects and hidden mechanics. Would love to say i used them to win but I just got lucky.
I did manage to win eventually, but I can't feel too good about shooting a dog to do it. :(
I found out about the heart power naturally by just clicking around, but the other one I would have missed if not for the hint on the game page. (And if there are more than those two, I didn't find them.)
This is a really neat and unique idea (if we were all as inventive as you are, maybe Stan wouldn't have fractured reality while doing his job!) Some of the transitions are especially fun, like randomly turning into soup. Can soup win a round? I saw dogs win rounds so I hope that soup can win too.
It's not always clear whether a Stan is still in the running or 'out' of the round. It's obvious that a standing Stan is in a better position than a lying down Stan, but those lying or sitting Stans can get up at any time. And being a dog is fine! Unless it's a sleeping or "sleeping" dog. So a bit more clarity on what counts as a good or bad state would be nice. I was mashing the heart icon every time I had it, until I confirmed it only activates on my Stan being truly dead.
You always give awesome feedback!! I felt more clarity was needed too, but you articulated it perfectly. You’re right that there needs to be some visual feedback to indicate which state each Stan is in.
You didn’t miss anything, those two are the only power-options I’ve created so far. As for the ramen, it can’t win since a bowl of ramen can’t be referred to as Stan.
I thought my game would be one where people just try a couple of rounds, think “Oh, this is quite silly,” and move on to the next game. It didn’t occur to me that some people would be so adamant about winning, even going so far as shooting a dog! :P
Close guess on the number of submissions (only about 2000 off!). Kidding!
Liked the humor on this. The visuals, feel and music at the "story" intro made me look forward to the start of the game. Didn't manage to guess a single round correctly. Too heartbroken after the attempt my stan became a dog... and then DIED.
Interesting concept if there were ways to work in mechanics. Can see it working well with say.. a list of clues about which stan is the final one, to guide the guesses (e.g. this stan has fear of head trauma --> helmet stan).
